A funny story about this ride that I heard from an employee. He said that when they bought this, they bought two of them, one for spare parts. The reason it was taken out, was because they ran out of spare parts, and the machine was too old to buy more replacements, as the company no longer builds it.
That was the best ride ever in the history of the old adventure land rides, i miss that ride.

I love how disengaging from the first lift got you 10x wetter than the final splashdown.
Watching this today makes me not miss it as much. Recently went of the log ride at the MOA and it was much longer and better than this. I'll always miss this one but I have a feeling better things are to come after the new owners clean up some of the old owner's mess.
Fun fact: They had no choice but to remove this ride because only 2 of this type were ever built, so for many years they had to cannibalize the sister ride for parts. That is until there where no more parts to keep up with maintenance.
But they are taking this ride out it makes me sad it's one of mt favs

@@webstert25 the monster is one of the best rollercoasters in the world, without a doubt. same with the raging waters.
i lived in England for a while and visted Thorpe Park...had a similar ride was pretty cool cuz at the end of the ride when the log slows down, onlookers can use the watergun turrets placed around the edges to shoot the people still on the ride...loved that feature

I miss this ride to death! This is going to be Adventureland's second summer without it! I have so many good memories of that ride with my family, like getting soaked in the front seat!
Heck, we even have a picture taken years ago when I was little. It's a photo of my dad and cousins all squashed together in a log, and me and my mom are outside of the ride, and their log goes by, and they're waving! It's hilarious!
This, This will be my last time riding it. And I'm so sad I'm gonna cry! I love this ride!
There is one like this in silver dollar city it's still open there it's also really fun

I was attepting to film the Tornado ride but my phone almost flew out of my hand. And my phone got too wet on this..
I used to love this ride. it was the only thing I would ride there

The first year I was going to adventure land when I was younger I was so excited to go on the log ride but they removed it that year

People are so stupid.. the coloring of the water is suppose to give the effect that you're riding in a river.. ON A LOG. Duh?
i hated stuff when you plummeted to the bottom and your stomach rises to your thoat when i was little. my mom's job has their company picnics here and every year from the age of 3 till i was 8 years old, I refused to go on the ride. 19 now and its my favorite. I was picky with my rides when I was young.
