I go over every setting that you need to change in order to get awesome footage with this tiny yet super capable camera. Ahhh shoot I knew I was forgetting something. Set sharpness to -2 and NR to -1 :)

Hello, nice tutorial. I have a question regarding the motion blur / frame rate topic. If I shoot a video from a car (e.g. city streets with city lights), in order to avoid motion blur, does the mentioned rule of double shutter speed to frame rate always solve this? I usually use auto mode and I sometimes observe motion blur, especially at 24-30fps and automatic mode. As I change to 60 fps, the result with automatic mode is much better.
Very useful.. I make walking videos and i have no idea what clip i will show down in editing. I shoot in 60fps all the time saves ne from going back and forth is it wise.. New at this so maybe its a stupid question but wanted to ask.

Hi! I am thinking of buying the osmo 3, but, Why do I see a lot of videos asking to flip the screen?
I am concerned if the quality isn’t good if taken from horizontal and uploaded vertically?

yeah I dropped my EV to -1.0 over exposed. I find that its not perfect this camera, but its great

Sooooo helpful. You made it seem soo easy and idiot proof. If only you could sell to me this Lut because I am not good at coloring but I like a very good picture. At least with a Lut, I just play around with the exposure, contrast , highlights…. Etc

So D Log M makes the file format default to HEVC which could give some users trouble
minimal framerate for social media(instagram for example) is 30fps to get smooth image. so if thats your girl stick to 30fps with shutterspeed on 1/60
If I want to capture cinematic slow motion footage (of like walking through somewhere) do I leave it as 24 fps and just edit slow motion post production or should I switch fps on the osmo pocket 3 to 60 fps?
I’m waiting for my pocket 3 in the mail but I’m almost certain 60fps and up will give the best, smoothest, cinematic slow motions in post production. 24fps slowed down will be jittery and very noticeable

I really wouldn't worry to much about the 2.7K res on portrait mode, considering all Social media apps only upload at 1080P... so the 2.7K is already more then they support anyways, but again you can always put it sideways.
Many people don't know that social media is at 1080P and still think there videos look better at 4K when there only looking at a 1080P video... the only difference is that, taking a 4K video and uploading it onto a platform that is 1080P causes the video to look really sharp which makes people believe that there insta post is 4K...
The normal colour profile is also 10 bit , maybe you haven't updated yours
Good to know this. But do you need to set it up to 10 bit or is it a default 10 bit?
Im using normal 10 bit for videos im not editing like vlogs or small interviews, but i would say dlog m 10 bit is the best one for color grading and editing

If someone used this and thought it was no different than videos on an iPhone, they should stop making videos.
I use the pocket 3 in fully automatic mode, I don't get, why I should waste my time with hours of grading and so on. And when I'm outside I don't want to fiddle around with any filters. All this is nonsense to me, I don't wanna be Steven Spieberg and it destroys the convenience of this little camera. Let these devices do their work the results are great and you can save your time to go and film what you want instead. That's only my opinion, best regards from Germany, Rudi.
If that’s what you want to do then great but personally I want to try different looks in colour and tone so I will shoot Dlog so I can enjoy tweaking the look further.
This little camera is amazing for cinematic shoots, only a matter of time when a Netflix short or series is shot on it 😎

How so? They’re tiny and literally let you accurately expose everything in manual.

No they don't, they are mostly used for shots outdoors when it is really bright and sunny. Stops your skies looking washed out when it should be blue. Some people want colour accuracy in their videos, some don't care.
@@therealdonchelios i get it if u are making commercial videos with a red camera...but this is for dads traveling with families on a family vacation - fuck that
@@Geletin911 you mean that's what you're using it for 🤣 some of us can make professional videos with this thing. Search Osmo pocket 3 cinematic videos to see what can be done. For what you said you can probably just use any smartphone.
