Pedro: Excellent tutorial. I have a PSR S975 and can adapt your tutorial to the style creator on that keyboard. Of course, a little easier if I had a touch screen, but I think I can do it regardless. You have a very good way of explaining a very cumbersome part of mastering the keyboard.

Thanks for the video, very helpful. How do you choose whether to record parts on Chord 1 Chord 2 Pad, Phrase etc...? Is there a reason for particular type of parts to choose one over the other?
Hello, MC. Thanks for your comment. Take a look at my other style creator tutorials and songs, and subscribe to the channel. Well, about your question, it's kind a yamaha tradition to put the main style struments on CHORD1/CHORD2 (like pianos/guitars), the chord pads, chord voices and chord strings on PAD, brass, synths and other specific riffs to PHRASE1/2. You may keep in mind, it's possible to use the live control knobs (like I used during "Without You" song - take a look), which the position of the tracks is important to use that controls... Hope I answered. Regards from Brazil, Pedro
Hello, David. Well, it's possible to create every kind of styles, including latin music and merengue. For these styles, I think the hardest thing will be to create the drums and percussion beats. Regards from Brazil, Pedro

High Pedro. Since my last comment I have followed your video & created this same style for my SX900, ( although it didn't turn out as good as yours ). I have a question for you. In style creator, when I play the song back, pad & guitar voices are too high pitch. Chords C & Dm are ok but G & Em are pitch too high. I'm sure there is a way to correct this but not sure how. Any ideas please. I'm attempting to create a style for 'Live to Tell' now. I think we have the same taste in music. Best wishes Bob
Hello, Bob. Thanks. If G and Em are too high, just go to style creator, select the part you want, go to SFF, there is a "High Note" option there. Just increase it to A or B, must solve the problem.
