    you're tha man, Ponte, no necessary bulls*it just knowledge. I got motion graphics/video edit professional background and I was stuck for about 1 year in blender as beginner, your free hard surface course just starded my another level and feeling safe and sound in blender modelling

    Coming from a NURBS background I've always had a lot of hope for mesh machine but haven't really been able to apply it in more practical examples like car body modeling. Its just random sci fi stuff where people are just flying by the seat of their pants with random blends here and there. Will be interesting if you can do some more designed stuff from concept.

      I would love to see more examples related to real world production. Everything shown is always random sci-fi stills. It reminds me of that era in the mid 2010's when ZBrush became able to do hard-surface objects and everybody did random sci-fi like this.

      I found it useful in any case where I’m creating bevels, chamfers, etc. manually and need to adjust them later. Sure I could manually mess around and fix them, or I could just use mesh machine.
      Or even simply just fixing the broken bevels and insets that Blender creates using the unf**k tool. I use this all the time when working with subd in order to clean up face insets.
      And sure, these tools might get more use for certain jobs, but ultimately you should be using the most efficient tool for the job, rather than trying to shoehorn a tool into a job where it doesn’t contribute much.

      If you can speed up your workflow with tools why not use them? Im a generalist meaning I do lots of polygonal modelling/sculpting and hard surface. If you have a more specific niche then i wouldnt worry about spending money on it. IMO its good to have tools available for the job at hand, will I always use everything i have? No, not at all

      @Anldiot69 Рік тому +1

      People might hate me for that, but i pirated this one and hard ops.
      I did it to see how often i would get use out of it and purchase it if it benefits my workflow. +I was still a student and really broke back then. But i used them so rarely (and only the unf*ck thingy) i didn't see a reason to keep using it back then.
      Undoing bevels is nice, but i simply didn't need it enough.
      Maybe if i do more modelling in the future i might purchase it.
      We do have a purchased version at my workplace and some poly modelers love it, while others never use it.

    Thank you so much for this Ponte! I bought MeshMachine two days ago so this is perfect.
    I have one question... Clicking on the edge and then alt+left click it for L-select, it selects the two horizontal edges of the face left or right to it, instead of the long edge of the union operation. L-select through Y-menu works perfect tho.
    Im clicking the same edge as you at 02:50, Im using a subdivided cube and I also have experimental turned on.
    Do you happen to have an idea of what I am doing wrong?
    Thank you! Cheers

      @@PonteRyuurui oh, yeah - machin3tools vs mesh machin3 - the names aren't confusing to someone new to blender and your addons at all. No reason to be a **ck to someone who's honestly confused and wants to buy your addon. I've sold my own 3D add-on for 14 years and never talked like that to my potential customers.
