This whole situation is HORRIFYING. They've kept this woman a cash cow prisoner for 13 years! She cannot even control her own BODY. The judge who has allowed this for so long should be fired.

This sounds absolutely insane that an almost 40 year old woman can be in the car alone with her boyfriend or unable to remove an IUD. I hope it was worth it for her family because once this is over I can’t imagine how hard it would be to forgive for exploiting you for so long.

Everything about this is absolutely atrocious. Even if there is some mental issue that none of us know about, she is obviously competent enough to talk to a judge, she should at least be allowed to have a say in the people who make up this “team”. This is way beyond the lines of what a conservatorship is meant to legally do. It is meant to help ppl, not hold them prisoner. I hope that she not only gets the freedom she deserves, but I hope everyone who has been involved with this faces legal repercussions. It is one thing to stop her from doing something that might be harmful, it is absolutely not right to FORCE her to work by blackmailing her with lawsuits and her children. If this judge doesn’t do SOMETHING, then there needs to be immediate investigations into the judge AND everyone involved in this money grab disguised as a conservatorship.
Is this judge elected or appointed? I know that California can do a recall election for governors, but can a conservatorship judge be recalled?

The fact that someone can be controlled this way is insane..
Once you enter into conservatorship, it cannot be reverse, at least nobody has done it before. Theoretically, you can remove the conservator and have the person make their own decisions. You have to prove that person has improve her mental, psychological outlook. The Conservator just can state that the person still need help in managing their affairs.
