It's not easy, and you need to keep reminding yourself what you're doing, and why! If I can finally convince my brain that I DON'T need one, I'm okay... it's when I let my guard down that I crave one 🤪
This is inspirational for anyone who smokes. Thankfully, I never tried at all. Your dedication will surely help you have a better retirement. I feel so bad for Paul. I hear through the grapevine that things aren’t so well there.
I also caught a respiratory infection, after I quit. Fortunately, it only lasted for a week. Poor Paul has been down for several weeks 😷🤧😢 I've been praying for his recovery, both the respiratory problems, and his cataract operations 🙏
Like you at 3 weeks past my 17th birthday I joined the Australian Army June 7th 1976 and not long after began smoking. Fast forward to August 3rd 2024 , I gave up by using nicotine patches to alleviate the withdrawal symptoms . For the past 6 weeks I haven't felt the need to use a patch nor had the desire to smoke either..Its something I never thought I could do but once committed it became easier day by day ...I feel much better physically and financially and a lot more confident in my self for persevering and overcoming the addiction ..Well done and thanks for sharing you journey
Congratulations on gaining a new lease on life! We're very similar in our experiences, and I feel a kinship to your struggle. 👍 Good on ya mate! I'll pray for both of us to have many more Journeys around the sun! 🙏

Congratulations, Dad! I'm proud of you! 🤘🥰

I made a reply to you that I wasn't going to need my Zippo collection anymore. But it posted as a pinned comment, UJ 🤔

Congratulations, Brother 🚭 Thats fantastic news.
Thanks, Brother! It should have happened while Vicky was still here. She asked, and I didn't comply 😢
