I think my favorite theme of the whole DLC. A fight amongst heroes due to religious devotions…and for what? It sort of represents humanity. What harm we impose on each other, divided by our dedication to those who couldn’t give a single ounce of care about those that worship them.
We are all different, with devotions and opinions. What made this battle emotional is having no right side. fromsoftware making "Absolute cinema" in all games.
Was fighting through while crying with this one, every second passing was just breaking my heart more and more, I went straight for Leda once she showed up, bringing everyone together just to help Manipulate them into working for Miquella, I wanted to take her down personally. At least Ansbach and Thiollier were there for me...

They seriously knocked it out of the park with this whole group of warriors story, and I'm so glad you have a character who is unsuspectingly strong when he's confident, Thiollier was a huge factor in the Putrescent Knight for me so it was cool seeing the others surprised at him standing with the Tarnished. Almost shed a tear, and it was just so epic to allow spirit ashes cause then you could even bring in the Swordhands of Night, Jolan and/or Anna for this whole ensemble of those trying to carry out their duties for a higher cause.
Best fight ever, i had 2 npcs to summon + my mimic, we had a split 3 group fights happening at the same time, i took Leda, mimic took dry leaf, npcs took the rest. was so badass with the dialogue exchanges and the music.
And if you notice the track’s name, Those United In Common Cause, that also refers to your band of scoundrels. You, Thiollier and Ansbach all wanted to kill Miquella even though each of you serves a different lord and on their end, all five of them serves Miquella.
it's like they looked at the Abyss Watchers fight and said, "nah, we can do better" makes at least twice now where the most impactful fight of the game wasn't the final one
Freyja loyal to Radahn and by extension Miquella fights along side Leda to the bitter end. Moore seems kind and just wants to do good by his comrades so is loyal to leda and the original purpose of their group Thiollier lacks confidence and just wants to be held by st trina. His allegiance is to Miquella but more so to the discarded half, St Trina. Ansbach once loyal to miquella has regained his memories and now wants payback for what miquella did to mohg Hornsent driven mad by vengeance, his thirst still not quenched after killing Messmer, completely abandons serving Miquella and goes after everyone, including you. Dryleaf kung fu guy, loyal to miquella just as Leda and goes ahead to the sealing tree.. but before that he wouldnt mind having a 1v1 session of fisticuffs with you. and Leda, seems to have gathered everyone but her devotion to Miquella is such that she is ruthless in culling out those who are not fit. maybe she is the one thats been most compromised by Miquella's charm. thats what i got out of it at least.
Leda in Miquella’s world likely would have worked as a sort of secret police, weeding out anyone who maybe for some reason wasn’t affected by his charm. They really knocked it out of the park with Miquella and his whole vibe. The sanctified tyrant.

This moment hit me like a ton of bricks especially because I did all if there quests , became friends with theses people over the 12 hours in the DLC I played only to realize that happy ending I wanted as always was never meant to be especially with the dialogue everyone has something emotionally charged to say and by the end all you have is room full of corpses and 3 allies who have no time to mourn there falled

This entire theme is one of my favorites in ALL OF ELDEN RING it has the tone of epic fantasy laced with tragedy like a final last stand of a massive war and in truth to the warriors we have to fight it is It is there last stand and it is tragic because there fighting for a god that has in a way enslaved them and cares not if they die for him…..
few words can describe how epic this encounter was. Especially if you managed to get 5 of Leda's team vs the 3 of you in an all out brawl. The characters were dropping bar left and right. Sad forever
I think this was the most emotional fight I've ever had in souls, it's not like Sith and Artorias, who we face in this battle are really characters that we become attached to throughout the DLC,Leda speaking in a tone of disappointment and duty, as if she had actually been "tricked" by us, I not only felt like the boss, but also the villain

When Moore showed up, that’s when the fight really got to me. Nobody deserved this (except maybe Leda). I found myself asking in this fight, “Is THIS what Miquella really wanted?”
