The best talk show hosts know when to talk and when to stay quiet, on this occasion he stayed quiet because his guests were relaxed and acting as themselves whilst being entertaining at the same time.
Graham's show is somewhat unique in that the aim of the show is just to be entertaining rather than selling a movie or plugging an album, he just lets his guests go with the flow giving them a helpful nudge or some coaxing here and there. If the laughter is running smoothly he lets it run it's course.
As English is not my mother tongue, I literally had to stop the video every few seconds to look up all the vocab to get the joke because I was not at all familiar with all those crazy British words. 😂 But in the end it was funny and I learned a lot! 🖒
Great chemistry. I love how they are talking together as if they are alone. Graham tried to join in a couple of times but was unintentionally cut off and they continued their talk together.
I love this clip! The only show that the guests can talk freely and have fun and the presenter doesn't barge in to get things back on track in the middle of a story.
This clip is the textbook example of why the Graham Norton show is the best talk show that has ever existed and will ever exist. American talk shows see Graham from very, very far away.

Trust the brits with such genuine, awesome humour!!!
i love how christ martin really laughs his heart out and not just do a poised celebrity laugh
It's like he dropped those three off at a bar and they just started conversating xD Brilliant chat show
*conversing
Just say "talk". (thanks Jujubee)
Most probably they head off to a bar afterwards
Wow, that was brilliant! Nice, bright, funny people having a blast! How beautifully it all played out! Amazing and delightful!
"You can be overwhelmed, and you can be underwhelmed. But can you be just whelmed?"
"I think you can in Europe.."

I like my Skechers but I love my Prada backpack. (Wow I just noticed your comment is 4 years old :D :D :D )
I've watched this bit many times, and each time I am rather well whelmed! It's also so great to see the close and sincere interaction amongst the guest. Absolutely the best
There's another one with Kevin Hart and Will Smith. It's bloody hilarious.
"he's got a lot of ruth" 😂😂😂😉
I love these 3 together! They had awesome chemistry. I’ve watched this quite a few times!
MM
“He was a tiny Maltese man, he was a...”
CM, “A malteaser!”
Love it!!
I literally laughed out loud when they started talking about the phrases. Haha good stuff.
The chemistry between those three is just amazing.
Graham Norton is being uncharacteristically silent for most of this video! It's weird!
I agree but, that's the beauty about this show. Graham starts it off and the guests take off like no other chat show
Khaled Arifi Quite right. If you look at his face, you can see him becoming more and more whelmed over the course of the conversation ;p
The best talk show hosts know when to talk and when to stay quiet, on this occasion he stayed quiet because his guests were relaxed and acting as themselves whilst being entertaining at the same time.
I think he was enjoying watching the chemistry lol
Graham's show is somewhat unique in that the aim of the show is just to be entertaining rather than selling a movie or plugging an album, he just lets his guests go with the flow giving them a helpful nudge or some coaxing here and there.
If the laughter is running smoothly he lets it run it's course.
Now that's what we call a "chat show" and not just an interview with guests.
loving the chemistry betwixt the guests in this clip!!!
As English is not my mother tongue, I literally had to stop the video every few seconds to look up all the vocab to get the joke because I was not at all familiar with all those crazy British words. 😂 But in the end it was funny and I learned a lot! 🖒
He says something at 11:13 that I didn't get like funny Daly. It comes after argy-bargy.
@@patriciat.8121 He says "dilly dally" which means to waste time through aimless wandering.
I didn't get it at all but I'm laughing with them anyway😂😂
@@patriciat.8121 Nobody's mentioned it yet, so I'll tell you: he says "fuddy-duddy" after argy-bargy.
Great chemistry. I love how they are talking together as if they are alone. Graham tried to join in a couple of times but was unintentionally cut off and they continued their talk together.
I love how Graham just sits and listens. He does not interrupt his guests like so many other hosts.
3:57 the sync clap.Is it me or Cris and Rosamund would make a nice couple?
And this is why I adore Graham. He can just be there not saying anything, yet when we hear his laugh it all works out. Love you Graham 😙😙😙
Love Chris Martin.
This is one of the best interviews I've seen on GN. Love their interplay with each other.
this show always makes me happy
Felt like I was just watching some friends giggle and chit-chat 🤭 lovely
Chris Martin is adorable. Rosamund Pike is beautiful. And Michael McIntyre is hilarious. Wonderful panel.
Rosamund has terrific taste and always dresses beautifully
The thing that differentiates British guests from other nationalities is that they are brilliant at being just plain silly. It's hilarious to watch.
I’ve watched this a million times but it’s still funny! 😅😅
Rosamund Pike is really beautiful!
I love Chris's laugh and his line of "No. Legs akimbo!"
How adorable is Chris Martin! He's too good for GP.
That's why he's the best. Knowing when to sit back and knowing when to take the reigns is a skill.
