Juilliard celebrated its 113th Commencement on Friday, May 18, 2018, witnessed by a capacity audience of Juilliard graduates, family, and friends in Alice Tully Hall and viewed via live stream in more than 50 countries around the world. This was the final commencement for Juilliard President Joseph W. Polisi, who is stepping down after 34 years. Alumnus Wynton Marsalis, director of Juilliard Jazz, gave the commencement address. Honorary degrees were presented to Grace Bumbry, Ron Carter, Lynn Nottage, Tina Ramirez, and Ann Ziff.

Maybe now, you can start focusing on adding to the Julliard Jazz Studies Dept the Jazz Vocals Major like Dean Flagg said was discussed and planned as an addition to the BM & MM majors, offering auditions to Jazz Vocalist for this opportunity. So, please allow this to happen, im praying for it🙏🏾I would love to be your first audition for what would be the greatest dream of mine realized 🙏🏾 & Thank you.
