You always have such insightful commentary about the food you make! I love it. So interesting that teriyaki isn't commercially available in Japan! Also, would teriyaki freeze well at all, or is it best eaten fresh? :)

Thank you for your comment. I'm glad you said that.
Freezing teriyaki sauce itself is not often done in Japan. If stored in the refrigerator, it will last for about 3 to 5 days for safety.I think it's safe for about 2 weeks, but it depends on how you store it, so I can't make a general statement.
I have never tried freezing it, but I think it can be stored for 1 to 2 months if it is sealed in a hygienic container.
In any case, the sooner you eat it, the more delicious it will be.
When freezing teriyaki sauce, I think it's best to mix it with chicken or pork before freezing. It is safe to store for about 2 weeks.

@@MASURUKITCHEN I hadn't thought about freezing it with pork or chicken! Thanks for that idea!

I'm sorry. My answer at that time was wrong. The correct way to do this is to put it in a freezer bag, squeeze out the air, close the bag, spread it out flat, and store it in the freezer. However, it loses its freshness over time, so eat it as soon as possible.
