Ive used 2 or 3 of these in fights. To be honest they are effective and dont cause much injury to the attacker. These are a kindness. When you use the snake hand to break the neck or sternum or mandible is when its serious.
Great. Very interesting. I am taking Cheng bagua and still working on stepping so haven't seen many techniques, but I took aikido in the past and have practiced some of these techniques, though bagua is way more technical. Thanks!
Who are you compared to the late Dr Xie? Xie Peiqi trained directly with Men Baozhen (Yin Fu’s successor) for decades as well as trained with Ma Gui (a student of Yin Fu and Dong Haichaun). Who are you to even think to compare yourself to his likeness? What an ego on this one. Your a nobody.
@@kedabro1957 Grappling is perfectly fine with one opponent but with multiples, your first attacker only needs to tie you up for ten to fifteen seconds to let his mates be all over you. These are worst-case scenarios, of course, and I'm sure most encounters would offer a middle path....
Wow, brings back memories! I had this whole series on a videotape back in the days. Thanks for this. :)
Wow very good and natural applications! How can anyone dislike this? This is great!

These techniques are common to gongfu in general especially taiji.excellent!
All excellent techniques.

He Jinbao is so young here.
perfect
Far too fussy! Get in, strike, then get out! My version of Snake BaGua looks nothing like this....
You do realize you won't find many volunteers to demonstrate effective technique at full speed?
You do realize this is the lineage holder of the art form?
@@goodgrooves5330 a lineage holder not the lineage holder.
Let's see the pudding.
Too complex - avoid, strike, move away.....

Striking and moving is suicide against a younger opponent. Grappling gives weaklings a much better chance.

Probably misunderstanding this method.
