- And we're back with another video about botanical inks! It's been three years since I made them (bit.ly/47uHG8i), and posted this video to show you how they've held up since then. I truly hope you enjoy this video, and that it inspires you to make your own homemade natural inks!

Any time!
Horrible always to see birds in prisons. They need to fly large distances, there is a reason they have their wings, wings=freedom. They did nothing to deserve to live like that.
Yes, it is sad having them in cages. Birds are meant to fly! We let our birds fly around the house for about three hours every night. Our lovebird is always eager to spread his wings. The two budgies stay in their cage half the time I open it's doors for them to fly around haha. We try to keep them as happy as we can. During the warmer months, we put their cage outdoors all day so they can enjoy the sun and talk to other birds. Every day that I leave for work, I play bird and nature soundtracks for them. We do what we can to give them the best life possible in their domesticated setting 🐦🦜
@@JuliRoxArt Birds are meant to fly in their natura habitat not inside human houses. Plus you are being part of wildlife trafficking, and in most cases, a mother is killed in order to take babies to sell to people that like to have wildlife in their house. Also most birds die during that horrible journey. Think about how many other birds more and nature you affected with that choice. They don't deserve any of that.
@mariwinkler.r Hi Mari, I understand what you're saying, and your concerns. Our birds are very much domesticated and have been for generations. No mother was killed. And we got them off of previous owners who didn't want them anymore or couldn't care for them.
I have family in South America and know of people around their neighborhood who catch wild birds and put them in cages just for their enjoyment. It is cruel to take a bird out of its natural habitat and keep it confined.
The birds we have are very different. They were born and raised as pets. Anyone can walk into their local Pet Smart here in Canada and walk out with a bird that looks exactly like the ones we have (although pet shops are also cocerning). What I'm trying to say is that their feathers and colors are nothing special or rare; there would be no reason for someone to take these birds directly out of their natural habitat when you can find them anywhere.
I hope this eases some of your concerns. Thank you for sharing your thoughts, it's sounds like you are incredibly passionate about protecting wildlife 🦜
Enjoying your videos, Juli! Hope you're soon back in the YTPP. 🤗🤍
Thank you! Slowly but surely 🤞🏼
