I have read Leaving Las Vegas many times... It is one of the the truest stories of late stage alcoholism, a disease which I suffer from too.

@@mirellefritz9862 Same as I was when I wrote my original comment. In and out of binges, suffering from serious withdrawal then maybe a week or so of sobriety and then the beast comes right back exclaiming, "hey, I wasn't done with you!" I am extremely aware it will kill me one day.
@@AdamasOldblade That sounds very hard, I will keep you in my thoughts. Alcoholism runs in my family, my dad was an alcoholic who could drink 40 plus beers a day during a binge. I myself am struggling with alcohol to a much milder degree. I hope you find the help you need to recover.

John was from Cleveland and attended Lakewood high school. He was an immensely talented writer.

Any one know if there’s any filmed I nterviews of John O’Brien out there? Can’t find any on UA-cam, he died so young, haunting to have that kind of insight at that age, also wtf? Great idea caught on tape?
Despite the well-casted portray of the Hollywood movie, the book itself did not contain a redeeming character in it.
