Congrats. Now do it again on the hardest mode… it’s brutal.. I lost a controller from the absolute rage that came from it.. but after days I finally did it.. then proceeded to give my broken controller a furfural along with pouring Mountain Dew on the shallow grave.
@@williamcarpenter2974 I actually contemplated doing this specific playthrough on Critical after having finished the game the year prior in Standard but I was hesitant to do so as I wanted to get better at the game before challenging myself like that, and I didn't want to do Proud either because I've heard damage scaling is awkward in the difficulty throughout the game and I didn't want fights to be a slog. The next time I play the game I'm for sure going to do it on Critical though, especially after being able to beat the entire Data Org and Lingering Will at least twice on Standard.
Here's the thing about Crit: It's harder if you don't learn enemy patterns. Critical just punishes you harder for making mistakes, but also gives you a 25% damage buff and some extra abilities (MP Hastera and Finishing Plus) to compensate. So basically, while yes, you can die faster if you make a lot of mistakes, if you get better at the game and make less of them, you'll also kill enemies and bosses faster.
As of a couple months after making that comment, I have since done a playthrough of KH2 on Crit, and looking back at this video makes me retroactively cringe lol. There are a ton of mistakes and brute forcing instead of proper learning, but I can't be too upset since it was a learning experience. I've since gotten much better at not only KH2, but all the numbered titles as well with a bunch of practice, to the point that I managed to do Yozora damageless several times, my first successful attempt can be seen here: ua-cam.com/video/nKdg5Q724Rc/v-deo.html . After being hesitant to fight superbosses in Kingdom Hearts for many years due to the, quite frankly, wrong assertion that they would be too hard for me to beat, I can firmly say that I love doing them now, and I've grown to love the games more because of it.
I only ever beat this guy once…on beginner mode.
I know nothing about you, but i have the deepest respect for you

Wow GEEZ I’m not doing it then
Listen, when you beat it.. then and only then will you feel so grateful that you’ve beaten such a magnificently horrifying boss fight.
