My dad will occasionally shop on wish, everything is pretty hit or miss. One time, he got my mom a mini pepper spray that is made to look like a thing of perfume. I didn't know this, and being a completely intelligent 16 year old, went to see what scent the perfume was. I sprayed it on my hand, which I had held up near my face so I could smell the perfume. It turns out that one thing that wish does right is pepper spray. It obviously wasn't military grade, but it was enough to leave me coughing and in pain for the next hour and a half.

I've never bought anything on wish but I've heard enough of these kinds of stories to stay clear. If I am going to buy cheap items I'd rather go to the dollar store and save on shipping and know exactly what I'm getting.
I'd buy from the dollar store, because its just wish products with 2.5x less shadiness.

You'd be actually brave to eat from any plastic Chinese product, since you may bet it's not a food-grade plastic, probably the worst, cheapest and most carcinogenic plastic you can get... Enjoy your meal anyway!

Honestly this happened to me when I ordered from wish. I wanted to buy a makeup brush set that apparently had 14 brushes but I received one single brush (that was also such cheap quality that i couldn't use it)
Thankful for this video and the previous one as I was able to check and double check what I was ordering. So far, I am not disappointed by what arrived.
Curious as to why wish hasn't been hit with a class action lawsuit.

the reason wish never faces any consequences for their shittiness (apart from a few customers avoiding them) is that, when a customer gets fucked over, wish just steps back and says "it wasn't us, we're just the marketplace. take it up with the vendor!"
never mind that they gave the vendors all the tools they would need to be able to pull such deceptive shit on their customers; never mind that wish pretty much never does anything to shut down scammy vendors on their site.

Regarding mysterious addressess .. Chinese sellers often send the item with company that delivers a huge sacks of mail to some address in destination country (or continent) from which they will send it individually to you. If you will try a lamp on the package to look through layers there might be surprises underneath. I learned this from decyphering mysterious Aliexpress packages that i was not able to identify (due to the seller accidentally sending me something completely else) and had to figure out somehow what its supposed to be. Like when you order markers and receive TV remote control instead etc ...

In NZ there is a burger chain called Burger Fuel and they do higher end burgers (think $15 a burger) and they come with cardboard holders and they're actually amazingly useful. The amount of fillings they give you makes it hard to hold it but the holder keeps it all together.
In the ring description, you read gold-filled. That used to be pretty decent jewelry. If I remember correctly, in the Victorian era, this was very common. Jewelers would stretch gold into sheets and put a piece of common metal in between 2 sheets of gold. (So, gold .. filled with common metal ... like a sandwich. There is more gold than with gold plated and it wore well. Pocket watches were gold-filled. Here's hoping the ring you got is a decent one! 💜

Yeah, wish and Ali express are surprisingly open with their refunds, which is especially surprising as they are probably companies that live off of people not getting a refund cause of lazyness
Makes me wonder if they are somehow making a profit---holding your payment and thousands of others while earning interest on the money until the time comes to refund your payment.

@@davis3138 seems that you've never eaten a burger. the place where your fingers gets messy is not the tip that touches the top of the bun, but the middle of your fingers where the sauces drip down as you hold the burger at a 90* angle to the floor.
So on wish it offered me a "free" gift then charged me 10 dollars for shipping

My adult son orders from Wish all the time and he has had some of the same experiences as you’ve had. I told him to stop wasting his money on stuff he doesn’t need anyway, especially since he’s living with me at the moment, resulting in my expenses going up.

i love wish so much! When i do a bit of shopping on wish, I always check the comments under the order. Usually the comments are from people who have ordered and received the product above. Also usually a photograph of the product as well. I hope future wish videos of yours go a bit more smoothly.

I ordered a nerf gun for my son, he waited 3 months, he was checking the mailbox everyday, it finally showed up, he was so excited. The box was EMPTY! Wish did give a full refund though.

This is what makes me so mad about wish and Alli express. They get you in with a low dollar item price but then when you click into it that’s not what it really is at all. I can’t believe they get away with these practices.
i only think i ordered a hoodie and some lock picks from wish, and they were exactly what i expected, even with the classic 25% off. The hood was just the hood with a build in scarf, and the lock picks were sturdy and solid, no picks have bent or broken.
I was actually (positively) surprised when I saw that you got the spy glasses and that they didn't just send you a cheap pair of plastic sunglasses that costs 2 or 3 bucks.

5:15 the gold color that you see is probably from real gold. An ultrathin layer of gold is enough to make it look like gold. This costs barely anything.

My Dad once gave me a Harry Potter wand from Wish a few years ago. It wasn't the material that a Noble Collection wand is usually, it was cheap plastic and free. But either way, I still have it as it's the thought that counts.

Reg the Burger Holder - Here in NZ , we have a famous burger joint called “ Burger Fuel “ , were they give a free holder called “ Doofus “ . It’s a holder for the oversize burgers they sell, made of thick cardboard type paper.

Every fast food hamburger place I know of wraps their sandwiches in waxed paper like the one he took off the Whopper. That wrapper is designed to hold the sandwich without getting the "your way" fixing all over your hands and clothes.

I used to order from them too. I made the same mistake ordering the same wrenches to but I did see you had to go down the list where there was a drop down menu to choose what wrench size you wanted or the whole kit . Now there is Temu out there and they do the same thing in their adds. Just have to read everything.

I ordered some stuff from wish a few years back, and it was all pretty much what I ordered. But it was mostly cheep jewelry, so I didn't expect a lot. Actually, one of tge necklesses is still one of my favorites, and I wore it pretty much 24/7 till the chain broke recently (it was one of those ball ones like you find on dog tags and cheep plastic toys)
I think wish is ok for cheep things like that, but you wave to be careful, and don't go looking for expencive stuff.
Wish has got to be the most dishonest shady company ever. I still can't believe how they still exist.

My first three Wish purchases went perfectly. My last three, they sent me the wrong item.
I ordered the exact same thing all six times. 4 times from the same seller.

The biggest thing you need to keep an eye on is the shipping costs. If I remember correctly there is an agreement between China and Canada and there is no cost to actually ship

My favorite thing from wish are those cheap ass rainbow swords that say they’re made from titanium or some big deal metal. It was only like 20$ so I said screw it at the most I’ll get a nice piece of decorative aluminum to put up on the wall but they sent like a genuine steel blade with a pretty nice sharp edge. It’s not something you’d give a knight to go crusading with but just as a fun toy to hack at some weeds or books with, it’s pretty nice for 20$
I feel swindled. I thought I'd get an expose of those drop shippers. Plus the wrench is cute & your kid could do doll handywoman.
