She was calling out instructions left and right while forcefully pinning herself to the gator in anticipation of the roll. The way she coached the guy through pinning and then escaping was equally as impressive to me.
totally agree, also the guy that just jumped into the back of a beast like that with no experience (from what I understood) was quite extraordinary as well. The dismount was not trivial, looked quite dangerous.

Lindsay, you handled the situation like a pro. You remained calm under extreme pressure (figuratively and literally), and you were able to direct the people trying to help you. Speaking as a man, I probably would have passed out and been eaten. Also, props to the guy who jumped in to help.
i think it’s so cool and inspiring how she can still advocate gators/crocs despite the injury she just had taken. i’m not sure if i would have the ability to separate emotion and logic in this scenario and i’m thankful that people like yall exist 🥺
@@Angelface11 never said anything about being mad, emotions are always tied into pain/injuries whether intentional or not and i always admire people that can look at the situation at hand objectively rather than subjectively :-)
Huge kudos to Lindsay for being the reason those kids weren't traumatized and instead turning that situation into a positive for them! By their reported reactions and plans to go back, they felt more excited and connected to the animals AFTER the incident rather than apprehensive. That shocked me at first, but I do believe it after hearing Lindsay describe how she handled it! I enjoyed this whole conversation. It was fascinating to hear each of your perspectives talking through what happened and relating other experiences to it. Though I haven't seen it and don't intend to...really sorry to hear that a jerk uploaded it against her wishes and without even waiting a beat. Hope Lindsay, Darth, and Scales & Tales are all doing well.
Well done to Lindsay and the chap that helped out. This interview was illuminating on so many levels. There is a lot that is wrong with our society. Thankfully, all of your caring, kindness and education helps to balance some of this out.
Thank you for turning this into an educational opportunity. So many things I didn’t know but now I do. And Lindsay, you are strong, you are courageous and you stay cool under pressure. Not many can do so. As a horse rider/trainer, (i know horses don’t compare on the danger scale) but I know shit can go south in a heartbeat… We/you/us/them - get back up, dust right off and get back in the saddle. Because we love what we do and the animals we work with ❤️ And that’s truly what matters.
We are behind her too! She is one brave women with a very calm and cool head. Tell her we send our prayers for a fast healing. So glad to see her doing so well. Not even in the hospital. Go girl! ❤️🐊❤️❤️🙏❤️
It’s so nice that you guys talked to her, as soon as I saw her video i thought hmm it looks like she did everything right based on what you guys have said before about what to do if you get bit so it was sad to see the negative comments. I hope she keeps her positive energy /mindset while she recovers 🙏🏼
So beyond impressed with how she handled this situation. She’s tough, and as far as people hating or talking crap, I know it’s hard but try to focus on the good comments. Because there are SO MANY good ones commending you for your actions. Mad respect Lindsay 🙌🏼 sending healing vibes for you 🖤
Fantastic interview, I’m really glad you guys covered the topic of how awful sensationalizing other people’s pain because it’s honestly ridiculous that someone is getting rich off of Lindsey’s injury.
Thank you for doing this video, it was so educational and clarifying of what actually occurred. Glad you are doing okay, wish you a speedy recovery and love to Darth! ❤️
Lots of good wishes to her and a healthy recovery too. And so happy that Darth gator is fine. So brilliant bringing her in and having this conversation. When I first saw the video at SnoopDogs handle my mind rushed straight to Chris since I love his Insta posts...and seeing you guys, Chris and Gabby, do this interview makes things so clear about so many weird things going around on social media. So much appreciation and respect for all of you...and people who are dedicated to wildlife and rescue work. 👍🏼👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Huge respect to the 3 of you. I cringe watching your videos but they are absolutely fascinating to watch. Such incredible creatures that the 3 of you are handling. Great to hear the other side of that video. And I love your passion and heart you have for wildlife.
Bless you all for all that you do, both in terms of your work with animals and for trying to educate people about these animals. If there was enough justice in this world, any video like the one in question should be taken down by regulators before it even hits 2 views. Wishing Lindsay all the best and thank you all for being so amazing! ❤️
We've been to Scales & Tales Utah many times--my daughter took a jr. zookeeper class there--and we've seen the training that Darth Gator goes through and his response to commands. Lindsay, so glad you're ok and lots of respect for what you do. Hopefully the powers that be will see this incident for what it is and not cave to outside pressure to punish the facility or the alligator and stop the amazing outreach and education that goes on.
Can you interview the kind gentlemen that jumped in to help? I'd love to hear his point of view as well 😊 Love you guys so much. Thank you for having her back and allowing her to explain her story.
I love scales and tails. I’ve been there many times and even been to birthday parties that hired them to come in for shows! They are a huge part of the community here. Im happy that Lindsay and Darth Gator are okay! It makes me so angry that they shared the video without Lindsays consent. I had no idea! Lindsay is amazing and she handled it so well.
@Dusty Thomson why in the world would you say that? If she had no skills she wouldn't be allowed to work in a place like that. Also they said nothing about following rules? Where did you get that from?
I've never been there, I live in the east coast, so I'm too far away. But she does seem like a lovely person, it is a shame that they posted it without her consent or without her point of view.
I would've got her consent first before sharing the video, however I'm sure them sharing the video was a positive thing too because I'm sure many people decided to help her out financially to help pay her hospital bills. That man who got on top of the gator and helped her deserves a steak dinner and then some for what he did that day, he is very brave for doing that!
Wow. I'm just sadden to hear about the disgusting negative comments that Gabby, Chris, and Lindsay have received. People are just the worst. Thank you all for doing what you do, bringing education to so many people, and raising awareness about these awesome animals. I wish you all so much success. Keep it up.
Thanks for making the video/interview.....very informative and helps answer a lot of questions about the situation. I know viral things bring a lot of attention good and bad . A good opportunity to use the incident and help educate and inform people about the animals and what you are working on with them. She handled herself like a professional - in a crazy situation...her calmness was impressive. Brave and awesome of the man to step in and minimize the damage and the severity of the situation..... Glad she is ok and in good spirits .
I seriously thought Lindsey had been working with alligators for a decade or more due to what appeared to be an expert reaction. Jumping into that water with Darth was, IMO, hands down, THE best thing she could have done. It may also have showed the kids she wasn’t showing fear and perhaps it was less scary. If Lindsay were my daughter, I would be furious about the video being released, especially after she asked the person to not post it. I would definitely contact an attorney. Also, with the facility being licensed, etc., it seems they could claim ownership of any photos or videos produced on their property. I feel guilty for even watching the video. I love UA-cam. I’ve learned many useful skills from YT, but here’s the thing. UA-camr’s need to consider THEY may be putting people in DANGER by videoing people they don’t know and posting them on the internet, especially when it focuses on a stranger and includes the location. This facility is Lindsay’s JOB. The entire world didn’t need to know her name OR where she works. What if she had a crazy stalker or an abusive relationship with an Order of Protection, etc. People often move away for safety reasons but they still have to work. Filming her at her job could have been so dangerous IF she was in the situation referenced. If it were my business, camera’s absolutely would not be allowed within the facility. They can have an employee take souvenir photos and email them. I’ve been to concerts that didn’t allow cameras or cell phones. If you are so important that you can’t be away from your phone for an hour during your child’s birthday party, you probably should stay home. Wishing Lindsay a full recovery, plus the royalties from the video. Civil suit. Seriously.
unfortunately that isn't how America works when it comes to photography/videography. It sucks but that is how it works. There was a massive Supreme Court case long ago involving who owns photos/video and can it be attained in any manner. The outcome was the photographer/videographer owns the pictures/video. Doesn't matter that it was Lindsey in the video, she has no recourse over the material. The only time it is not lawful is when the images are taken in an area with reasonable "expectations of privacy". Meaning you can't obtain video of someone walking around in their house. But a public place like this is fair game. It's why paparazzi stalk celebrities, because they can get away with it.
thank you chris and gabby for using your platform to share lindsay's story and help educate people about the truth of gators to combat the sensationalism!
Linsey I’m so sorry that you have to go through so much hate. When I saw it I was glad you stay calm and was able to instruct the other guy. People just don’t care about others anymore. They think of the quickest way to make a few extra bucks.
Chris, Gabby, Lindsey, thanks for sharing this educational video. You where amazing the way you kept calm Lindsey & im so happy that you're on the mend & that your injury wasn't more serious. You are an amazing lady. I've seen your video twice & your expert knowledge of handling gators helped you stay calm & relaxed. Take care of your arm & all the best for your future Lindsey.. 🐊❤️
Hi Lindsay. I’m very impressed how well you’ve handled this whole situation. I do want to say I think after your ten minutes of fame has wound down a little that you may start feeling differently. Just be aware that asking for help is human and no shame. I pray for your complete recovery physically, financially, and emotionally. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰❤️❤️❤️
I watched the video and I am so impressed with this woman!!! How she spoke calmly throughout then stayed and helped the man get off the gator was so impressive. People hating is done out of ignorance.
I’m working in a dog shelter and sometimes I fear dogs. Can’t even imagine how good you have to be to handle wild animals. Send love to Lindsey, you handled it amazingly. Shocked for the insults you three receive, especially for the insults to the two badass women over there. Don’t even listen to insecure bullies, forza ragazzi 🤍🇮🇹
Dogs can be pretty scary. I've traveled places will feral/free-roaming dogs and they can be aggressive. Alligators meanwhile you have to go out of your way to be in danger around them. They won't bother you as long as you keep your distance (well, on land at least).
The whole antibiotics thing 😂 yup I know what you mean. I've gotten bit by so many animals I just don't care anymore pigs, cats, dogs, goats, sheep, birds, squirrels, horses, cows, snakes, guinea pigs, rabbits and a spider (which I have a phobia too), my husband uses super glue to close up wounds on himself so I kinda chuckled at the own stitches. I'm glad Lindsey is okay and doing well mentally. Thank you to her and you two for sharing her side. ❤
Life is precious! You never know how long you have! Glad this incident isn't stoping her from her passions and doing things she loves! Best to not let fear dominate and continue doing what you desire in Life! 💙💚💙
I have friends that rescue gators and other animals and I respect them SO much. I've been to their place and gotten to meet a few of their babies. I respect what ya'll do so very very much. Bless ya'll 🐊💕
My first thought was she knew exactly what she was doing. As you can clearly see she climbed into the enclosure and rolled with the gator. As she already anticipated what it would do. And then stayed calm enough to direct others on how to help her.
All three of you are amazing . People can be horrible . My son was killed on a highest by a dumptruck . People actually said to me "Didn't he learn to look both ways . Horrible things happen and we still must keep living and moving on . Much love to you all.
When I first saw the video my initial thought was " this young lady knows what she's doing". She did everything right in response to the bite. Much respect, Lindsay. It's really sad that people are entertained by incidents like this one. Some idiot with a phone records it and makes money? That's criminal, or damned well should be. The part of the video that bothers me the most is looking at the number of laugh emojis posted in response to it. It was a work related accident. There's nothing funny about someone getting hurt. I'm glad Lindsay will be ok and that Darth will not by slaughtered in response to the bite, as happens so often when a human is injured by an animal.
Glad this lady is alright. Double edged sword working with these animals. Its educational and helps people become aware of how amazing they are but terrifying dangerous to handle them.
I too want to praise this young lady, her calmness I think save this from being a complete amputation, also the kids watching, she prevented them being scared for life, good luck xx
I couldn't agree more with what you said about antibiotics & walking around in a bubble. We must let our immune system do what it was meant to do so we can get stronger. Many don't realize or want to believe that these days. Thank you for the education from all 3 of you on this video. You guys rock! ❤️
I am SO Happy to see you AND the gator are good! I agree too many people enjoy making this incident into anything other than what it Really is! Everything you have said makes sense! We ALL have had accidents through learning and Life. God Bless!
All of you are awesome people. Doing what you do is great. I'm actually glad you made this video. People need to know the truth about it all. Yes what you do is dangerous. But the passion you all have to care for and rescue these reptiles and crocadilian. Continue your great work. 👍
OH wow... its the "Alligator Lady". Thank you for this... Nice to see Lindsay to OK. That was quite the video. Salute to the gentleman who jumped to help, and to Lindsay for her "professionalism"- ie: staying calm in a 'shitstorm'. Much RESPECT.
All the people making ignorant statements to this debacle really discredit her amazing response time ability to respond calmly and intelligently. Thanks for the interview, so glad to hear she walked away with relatively minor wounds!
It's so unfortunate that all this happened 💜. I'm just starting my journey of learning to work with alligators and I find how you handled this inspiring and educational!
You three are all incredible people and I have the utmost respect for what you do. I get really mad about how cruel some people are too. Feed the haters to the gators (KIDDING). Maybe she can expose whoever posted it without her permission.
Kudos to the way she handled the situation, I know most people wouldn’t have reacted as well as she did. I hope shes doing good. Btw you girls are very pretty!
I saw her video yesterday and was hoping y’all would do a video about it. Personally thought she did very well in the situation, way better then most people would have. I hope she doesn’t stop working with them. She’s a great handler.
I am very thankful that she is recovering and for the most part okay. On a side note I think what y'all do with the shows, teaching, and rescue is awesome as there are so many people that misunderstand theses animals. Someone making money off Someone getting hurt like this is just wrong and you would think would be illegal and not supported. Keep up the great work and God Bless!
Lindsay I would love to see Darth's tricks and how you work with him on UA-cam. Thank you so much for this video. I have followed since the TV show. I am amazed and intrigued with you work with the animals. Also thank you for addressing how infuriating it is that someone licensed this video, of another person's trauma, for pay. Also Chris thank you for being an ally with discussing the differences in gender.
You are a magnificent person who have a love for these animals. You did exactly what you were trained to do. Don’t let the negative comments get you down. Keep your spirits up & heal & get well as soon as possible so you can return to a job you love.
I'm so glad you guys did this to help spread awareness! Have you guys seen or heard of wally the support gator? A man goes around and let's strangers hold his gator with no safety precautions, mouth not taped, and he's actually a legitimate registered support animal. I feel like this is very unsafe and gives a misrepresentation of these animals. Maybe you guys could shed some light on this?
So impressed with Lindsay and how she handled that situation. Cooler heads prevale, eh? I'm glad to hear she's recovering well and that Darth Gater will not be punished. Thank you Chris, for acknowledging and calling out of the misogyny that is directed towards female keepers and handlers.
Darth Gator might be the greatest name for an alligator. Great video. Glad she recovered and didn't suffer more serious injuries. Handling an apex predator is hardcore. Requires a lot of respect, awareness, and skill. After being bit, and rolled, I'd imagine few people have more respect for those animals than Lindsay.
I had a foster cat bite me in the thumb. I cleaned it and thought nothing of it. It started swelling and becoming unbearable about 4 days later. I went to a family function on day 4 and my aunt asked if I was drunk!! I didn't even have a drink (here it was the fever it gave me)! Next morning I went to the ER. The cat bite had become infected and my thumb was 3x the size it is normally. I had a 103 fever and it was making me feel shaky and lightheaded. Because it was on a finger, they said giving me anything numbing with a shot would be ineffective and not worth the pain it would cause because of all of the nerves at the tip of fingers. I was taken to a whirlpool machine and had my finger lanced open and soaked 3x a day for 3 days with only oral pain meds. Very very painful and left me in the hospital for 3 days because of the fever and infection it caused. I can attest to the cat bite being very dangerous!!
Great video, all the best to Lindsay - really pleased she is doing well physically and mentally - not so much with the incident itself (which sounds weird) but all the afters......three people here with the best heads, serious respect to the three of you, all the love 👍

I find it odd you'd be "mad" at an animal for being an animal.
@@Angelface11 never said anything about being mad, emotions are always tied into pain/injuries whether intentional or not and i always admire people that can look at the situation at hand objectively rather than subjectively :-)
@@Angelface11 Their emotional response answer is no different than Darths food response.
Lindsay wish you the best recovery and it was very professional to see how calm and cool you handled this situation.
Thank you for turning this into an educational opportunity. So many things I didn’t know but now I do.
And Lindsay, you are strong, you are courageous and you stay cool under pressure. Not many can do so.
As a horse rider/trainer, (i know horses don’t compare on the danger scale) but I know shit can go south in a heartbeat…
We/you/us/them - get back up, dust right off and get back in the saddle.
So glad Lindsay and Darth are both ok. Great conversation as well. Donated to the go fund me. Take care and hope Lindsay heals quickly
So beyond impressed with how she handled this situation. She’s tough, and as far as people hating or talking crap, I know it’s hard but try to focus on the good comments. Because there are SO MANY good ones commending you for your actions. Mad respect Lindsay 🙌🏼 sending healing vibes for you 🖤
i'm glad Lindsay and Darth are okay and glad you guys had this talk.. praying for a full recovery for her..
My hat's off to her!! She couldn't of handled the situation any better. She really does know what she's doing, and it shows. Hope she heals fast.
Fantastic interview, I’m really glad you guys covered the topic of how awful sensationalizing other people’s pain because it’s honestly ridiculous that someone is getting rich off of Lindsey’s injury.
She's awesome. Glad she got good medical treatment and so awesome that you guys made this video explaining it all.
Thank you for doing this video, it was so educational and clarifying of what actually occurred. Glad you are doing okay, wish you a speedy recovery and love to Darth! ❤️
I just found your channel and love it! This was awesome you had her on to tell HER story! Love this
This was a great interview! I hope everyone see this! You are all so amazing!
Thnx for the vid.
Speedy recovery to you, you're REALLY good at what you do, how you handled that turmoil situation was very good.

There it is.
@@Gauravanartist you're so kind. thank you!
@@momomc.thotty I had no idea. thanks for the info. that's devastating if it's true.
This lady is infact full of crap. She has now lied out her ass i know these people she is bashing and don't think this is ok for her to talk crap.
You did not follow any safety rule. So kick rocks. And no she has no skill.
Thanks to y’all for giving Lindsay a voice. Praying for a full recovery for her and Darth will be okay.
As Steve Irwin would say...death roll. Anyone is lucky to survive those.
an alligator this size couldn't have killed her in this situation, though she could have lost her hand or arm
Thank you for the great interview gabby and chris ❤️ & get well soon Lindsay 🥰
Wow. I'm just sadden to hear about the disgusting negative comments that Gabby, Chris, and Lindsay have received. People are just the worst. Thank you all for doing what you do, bringing education to so many people, and raising awareness about these awesome animals. I wish you all so much success. Keep it up.
great video. She handled that situation on a pro level. Im so glad she is doing okay and so is the alligator
I am sorry you got hurt . I am grateful I can admire an amazing powerful woman showing how it's done . Thank you keep being incredible .
She is a pro. Kept her cool. Was able to give directions to the folks helping.
She did great.
thank you chris and gabby for using your platform to share lindsay's story and help educate people about the truth of gators to combat the sensationalism!
Awesome video!!! Thanks for sharing it with us!!! I hope people really got message!!! Lindsey your my hero!!!
Great conversation, happy to find your channel. With all the BS out here, guys like you make this here real valuable. Thanks!
Great interview, mad respect to anyone working with dangerous animals. Be carful out there!
Why do people sneak diss with love emojis
Great interview, and you are so great all of 3 !! Good healh for Lindsay, and all my love for you3!❤️❤️❤️
I have friends that rescue gators and other animals and I respect them SO much. I've been to their place and gotten to meet a few of their babies. I respect what ya'll do so very very much. Bless ya'll 🐊💕
Awesome interview. Donating, hope she gets well fast^^
I’m so sorry for your loss and the horrible words people say ❤️
God Bless!
Thank you for tell us your story and I am so glad you are and will be ok. 🙏❤🙏
All of you are awesome people. Doing what you do is great. I'm actually glad you made this video. People need to know the truth about it all. Yes what you do is dangerous. But the passion you all have to care for and rescue these reptiles and crocadilian. Continue your great work. 👍
All the best to Lindsay! She seems like a very knowledgeable person and new exactly what to do in that situation. 👏👏💗💗
OH wow... its the "Alligator Lady".
I´m so glad you guys love these amazing creatures so much.. I love them too and would never want them to be put down
It's so unfortunate that all this happened 💜. I'm just starting my journey of learning to work with alligators and I find how you handled this inspiring and educational!
An incredible person. Thank you for sharing your story Lindsay.
Great idea! We may talk about that in the future
I have seen videos of this Support Gator too and just seems very odd to me.
Hearing about the emotional damage these viral videos do, makes me really rethink them. It's sad and I've never really thought of it that way.
So so glad she is OK I know that things happen when working with wild animals glad she still at it get well soon👍👍👍
This woman is a beast! What an amazing animal handler and ambassador
Great video, all the best to Lindsay - really pleased she is doing well physically and mentally - not so much with the incident itself (which sounds weird) but all the afters......three people here with the best heads, serious respect to the three of you, all the love 👍
*which sounds me weird saying that....just to clarify 🙂
She is a bad ass
She was super calm through the incident and even has the perfect outlook of her surgery and recover. She couldnt have handled this any better. Perfect person for this position with crocodilians and other dangerous reptiles.
