Dimash Kudaibergen is from Kazakhstan. Kazakhstan is in Central Asia, between Europe and Asia. Dimash is an Eurasian. Here, he sang a French song to Chinese audience in mainland China. SINGER 2017 is a reality singing competition only for invited, established professional singers. These singers on SINGER 2017 are already popular in China. Dimash was the exception here. He was not established, not popular in China though he's a professional singer (in Kazakhstan). In fact, he was a total unknown in China. But not for long. This ICONIC PERFORMANCE.....from episode 1 of SINGER 2017 upon broadcast....propelled Dimash to celebrity status.....so popular he needed bodyguards to move aound in China. He hasn't looked back since. This performance was well over four years ago. Dimash has grown tremendously as an artist/singer/vocalist/musician/performer. I still browse the music videos of Dimash from time to time to see what still store in there. I’m just wondering how much effort and strength Dimash had invested into it, to reach such a powerful voice and the many other talents that he had. Indeed it is really a great work. How he was able to develop such a heights of his talents is really admirable and worth learning and imitating. And it is much more beautiful because he sang it by heart, naturally and at his heart’s content with joyful disposition. Although Dimash music are very good, full of content and meaning but I like most this music, because for me it speaks a message of truth, values and realities of human life. I feel that, it is not just enough to give my thumbs up to like this music, but I’m deeply moved to share something more about the richness and deeper meaning of it. With due respect to the composers, writers and singers of these music for whatever their purpose and intention would be, will always take precedence. The thoughts that I will be sharing below is only the fruits of my personal reflections based on the things that I highly valued and on how I perceived it myself and the message of this song that reaches out to me. I like this music because it reminds me the Truth, Realities and Precariousness of Human Life particularly Suffering and Death) SONG FACTS: The song is from French Rock Opera called Starmania. Originally it was sung by Daniel Balavoine who had a sudden death in a helicopter accident in 1986, who is known of his beautiful voice. Later, it was covered by Gregory Lemarchal, a young French singer who inspired Dimash to sing “SOS d'un terrien en detresse” who at all odds won the 4th series Reality TV Program Star Academy, despite his failing health and became an overnight success in France but had a shorter career, for he died young with his unusual illness of Cystic Fibrosis in 2007 at the age of 23. Recently it was unbelievably covered by Dimash and from time to time Dimash sung it in memory of his great friend Denis Ten an Olympic figure skater from Kazakhstan who was stabbed after a dispute with people who allegedly tried to steal a mirror from his car in his home city of Almaty. He died of massive blood loss from multiple wounds at the age of 25 in 2018. The song has sad lyrics: “a soul’s plea for help or an earthly being in distress” because it is a human being who is in anguish searching for the absolute. MY THOUGHTS AND OPINION OF THIS SONG (REF CCC): Suffering and death is one of the realities of human life. It is important that we should know the basic truth about it, so that it will not cause us fear and distress in our human life’s , but rather to remind us all of our ultimate destiny as people of faith. For me, there are 3 kinds of suffering we experienced in life: 1st suffering that God allows, 2nd suffering which is the results of our own choices and decisions and 3rd is the suffering which is cause by other people to us. In whatever forms of suffering we are experiencing, know that, if it is discerned well it will gain us eternal merit. Note that, it is not important how much and how long we suffer, or who cause us to suffer, but how is our attitude towards it when it comes into our life…? All of these three can be an opportunity of grace that we will grow in virtue, when we accept it with humility, discernment and faith in God. Our usual human tendency is, if we can, we try to avoid any kind of pain and suffering in our life. However we can’t deny also that life is mixed up of many learning experiences both in joys and in difficulties and I supposed we need it both, because it contributes and helps us mature and grow over time in many aspects of life. Suffering and death may seem contrary to our own human thinking or world’s way of thinking but in it, there’s a certain wisdom which is richer and deeper that no one can fully understand. Suffering reminds us the real fact that we are all fragile human beings; that we are limited and we are not God. Sufferings are human reality and consequences of sin that affects us all. It helps us see the real worth and value of things and meaning in life. It sharpens our awareness that this earth is not our permanent and true home. We should remember that we are only strangers and pilgrims on this earth”. Suffering purifies and refines us of any life’s superficiality into an authentic one. Though no one really is actively searching for suffering in his / her life, but honestly truth compels us to admit that sufferings do have a great value in our life and by experiencing it personally in reality, you will never be the same person. But through the original sin that enters human lives, our nature has been wounded, and is now subject to suffering and death. This was not part of God’s original plan, but now is already part of our human lives reality. Death for us is a frightening mystery because we are being stripped off of all our attachments to this world; our body lies corrupt; our immortal soul goes to meet the Lord. We will see the whole truth of our lives, and we will face God’s judgment. Death creates in us a feelings and emotion of fear, separation, sadness and pain. Many times we evade this reality and we try to question and even argue with God why…? But all our efforts failed because whether we like it or not at the end, we all die. Death comes in our life anytime anywhere. No material things, good health, young age can guarantee of its extension. The truth is… in front of death we are all poor and powerless. If this life were the only one we had, death would definitely be the great tragedy. Death is such a peaceful, joyful event in our life, if we die reconciled with God and at peace with others as well. Death is unknown to all of us, therefore, it is best that we should prepare at all times. Actually, 'those people' didn't know what to expect. They were asked to give him a warm welcome because he was a 'foreigner' invited to be on the Chinese show, The Singer. That was his first performance. He was 22 years old then. Needless to say, they were gobsmacked. The next morning he had to have bodyguards. If you like his lower register, 'Ogni Pietra/Olimpico' is a good choice.
Dimash is definitely the best vocalist I've ever heard in my lifetime. He really can sing any genre he chooses and mixes them together. You can't tell from watching him here but he's 6'3" tall and always seems to tower over most everyone else he's with. You might really enjoy Olimpico from his Arnau concert. I watched also all the "Charismatic voice" ' reactions on Dimash (whom I discovered, by the way, in 2019 - two years later on this Chinesse show 🥴). Dimash is a very humble and open-minded guy, maybe he will call you to collaborate with you. I would do it! ... Yes you're absolutely correct, the eyes have it.. One of the older competitors at this I Am Singer said that he has the eyes of a person with long and deep experience despite his youth.. Dimash is, besides his artistry as a singer, a standout human being..
The way I found to celebrate the majesty of Dimash's talent was to write the following about him: If I were to rule the world, I would immediately add to the universal declaration of human rights another article (they would become 31) whose wording would be as follows " All human beings have the right, at least once in their lives, to hear Dimash sing ". I am a Professor and I believe that I have a special profession that allows me to transform the human heart and consequently the human society. I work with young people and young people need to have good references. I had been looking for someone for a long time, whom I could talk to the young people I work with, as a good reference. That person should be young, a super talent, a super mega star in the art world and above all, because he is the most important, a good human person. I searched and never found anyone with these characteristics. Until, 1 year ago, I met this person and that person is Dimash. I had the opportunity to say this to Dimash, personally, when I was with him in Latvia where I went, coming from Portugal (there are 8000 km round trip), last March 7, 2020. We've all had the same emotional reactions...Dimash's Dears don't judge :). We are simply thrilled you've chosen to entertain the perfection and love that Dimash both embodies and encourages. He doesn't just slide by in anything musical, he pushes himself higher in every song and he does it for his Dears (they are family to him). When he smiled his little smiles, you kept saying 'HE knows, HE knows', but that ego is for mere mortals :)...he is Aware, but he was thrilled to be there and is also very hard on himself--not for his ego or his career sake, but because he was raised in Kazakhstan by his grandmother and g-father and values love, family and country in the purest ways and he perfects his craft for his Dears.

OMG! Katrina, your words brought back a memory of years ago. We had a snowfall in Maine the night before and freezing rain after that. When I looked out that chilled winter morning, the sunrise was bouncing off three acres of smooth, rolling hills that looked like a diamond 💎 studded blanket of crusty, hard-packed snow. A prism of rainbow colors just rolled over the lawn as you moved your eyes and they were the softest blues, pinks, yellows, purples I have ever seen. A photograph did absolutely NO justice. I couldn't even paint it because looking right down on the icy snow just made me realize that I wasn't seeing the colors on top, but from underneath the layer of ice, the sun was picking out millions of actual snow ❄️ crystals in layers beneath the ice and magnifying their shine and colors. Dimash is like those layers of unnaturally soft, moving colors that wind themselves into your memory --(you'll know what I mean if you continue your Dimash journey, guys...it will only make your music better because your heart will see all the possibilities and not just those we've previously learned to create in our art 🥰. ❤️👑❤️💙💎💙

I dropped out of music media before folk-singers and the Beatle-craze began because I could sense the lack of almost everything that was SUPPOSE to be talent, just up 'til by sheer accident I heard him sing a duet with Lara. I was drawn to Dimash but not Lara or anyone else. I still feel estrange by most of the media bit, but I love Dimash's lovely gift and most of all his demeanor of humility ❤. Personally I believe HUMILITY is what fuels his gift 🎁. If he starts to get arrogant and proud, he'll lose this beautiful gift, which is spellbinding the WORLD. You won't be listening to his music on the radio or seeing him often on Western television, but this artist's fan base is larger and more loyal than some of the most famous and international pop stars. People will fight you online if you pronounce the wrong name, your fans will spend hours watching your videos, opening fan clubs around the world and leaving long comments on UA-cam with the story of each song. They are obstinate and well prepared. My question was necessary at this point. What made these people so close to him, and what does he have that other artists don't? He doesn't need paid advertising because his fans will do it for free. They genuinely love this artist so much that they want to make him known at all costs. Some claim he provides them to overcome depression, others say he has changed their lives with his music, some fans even believe he is an angel or a superhuman. No wonder his fans are obsessed, his voice is incredible and, at first glance, he also seemed like a very humble person. The 26-year-old Kazakhstan artist reached stardom for the first time after participating in some national competitions and spreading his fame abroad, taking second place in the Chinese program - I Am A Singer 2017-. Observing this, the highest note male record is an F # 8 and Dimash is only 3 semitones from him, I wonder if one day he would try to beat the record. It's so fun for us "Dears" (that’s what Dimash calls his fans because he loves us as a dear family) to see how people react to him. Some info about Dimash. He is from Kazakhstan and has been music schooled sense 5 years old and told the teacher that the piano was out of tune! He sings about 6-7 octaves or so! No one knows he is still learning. He sings higher than the piano can go! He also writs and compose own songs, plays bunch of instruments including Dombra there own Kazakh instrument that has a sound you can’t believe! He also sings in about 12 languages and speaks 3 so far. He is born in May 24 1994. Dimash has an excellent education: he graduated from the College of Music with a degree in Opera Singing, university of arts in the specialty "Estrada and jazz vocals", and on June 18, 2020, he completed a master's degree in Composition. He graduated with a degree in opera from the music school at the University of Aktobe (2014), a degree in pop/jazz from the National Arts University in Nur Sultan (2018), just completed his Master's degree in composition (June 2020) and approved to start his PhD. He have done some contests in his life but the one I think got the worlds intension is "The Singer" (Allso called "I am a singer" or "Singer") from China in 2017. The Singer is a program for established Chinese singers to face off against each other invites only in a competition where votes were cast by an audience of 500. Dimash Kudaibergen was a last-minute inclusion (a 'dark horse'). But his performance of 'SOS D'un Terrien En Detresse' electrified the audience, his fellow competitors and the viewers who numbered in the billions (this program was one of the most-watched in China and outside). They also got him the nickname "Imported little brother" the day after the show. They also had to get bodyguard for Dimash do to the famous over night both in China and also the world. Dimash wasn’t really prepared for that. He had come to China at 22 years young man by him self and didn’t know the language. They hade contracted him for 2 shows because they didn’t think he cold go further than that. He didn’t think they would like him. So he was nervous this performers that he had also to start the show with. But they hade to change that do to his famous over night. Dimash got many new friends from this show and he said at some point he learned a lot from it to. Lol, EVERY song is like that for me...new and old songs because he performs the same song differently every time :). If I want to get that new-like feeling with Dimash, I go to the Chinese channel (with English subtitles) and watch the 2017 I Am Singer competition where with background footage we're introduced to him for the first time. It is fun to watch the whole episodes for me since the other singers are all seeing and hearing him for the first time...as a competitor!(no stress there😱)--it would have been easy to hate on him if he wasn't such a naturally loving person and so supportive of other singers and happy for their successes 🙃!

This was his first appearance in front of this audience, and he was unknown in China. The contest is 13 episodes, and open by invitation to established professionals. Dimash was invited after he sang for China's premier at a diplomatic event in Kazakhstan (and after winning many regional international contests). The audience was urged to make Dimash feel at home, and give him a warm welcome. At 22, he was the youngest singer ever to perform in the contest. The song got 50 million hits overnight, and he woke up the next morning a superstar in China, already recognized in the streets. Instead of performing as the organizers expected, and being voted off after his second performance, he went on to complete the contest and get second place overall. His second performance, Opera 2 (a Vitas classic) seems chosen to show his playful side, and allow him to show off a little more of his upper range. It's a piece of fluff, but technically difficult and lots of fun. It clearly worked to further endear him to the audience. (In this contest, the audience votes determine the weekly winners.) Sinful Passion or Adagio are good choices to hear more of his lower range.

Dimash Kudaibergen is from Kazakhstan. Kazakhstan is in Central Asia, between Europe and Asia. Dimash is an Eurasian. Here, he sang a French song to Chinese audience in mainland China. SINGER 2017 is a reality singing competition only for invited, established professional singers. These singers on SINGER 2017 are already popular in China. Dimash was the exception here. He was not established, not popular in China though he's a professional singer (in Kazakhstan). In fact, he was a total unknown in China. But not for long. This ICONIC PERFORMANCE.....from episode 1 of SINGER 2017 upon broadcast....propelled Dimash to celebrity status.....so popular he needed bodyguards to move aound in China. He hasn't looked back since. This performance was well over four years ago. Dimash has grown tremendously as an artist/singer/vocalist/musician/performer. I still browse the music videos of Dimash from time to time to see what still store in there. I’m just wondering how much effort and strength Dimash had invested into it, to reach such a powerful voice and the many other talents that he had. Indeed it is really a great work. How he was able to develop such a heights of his talents is really admirable and worth learning and imitating. And it is much more beautiful because he sang it by heart, naturally and at his heart’s content with joyful disposition.
The discipline, dedication and high ideals in pursuing his career the best he can is worth imitating not only in our individual professional fields but also in living out our day to day life. His hard work for years is indeed bearing good fruits in abundance. And so my heartfelt congratulations to Dimash and his family and all others who supported him all the way through as a musician. For me as a public listener it counts a lot the personal disposition of the artist and the good content and message of its music.
The fact that, he is able to sing his music at maximum or more than 6 octaves with ease and comfort in different languages and in various voices is really amazing. But some others also cannot handle and cannot even believe the power, the strength and the heights of his voice…and they said Ooh… is Dimash human..? Alien..? Etc, I think It’s just a natural reaction that people wonder and be surprise by it or cannot even believed it at all, it’s because it is beyond human expectation.
I believed that Dimash 21 year’s cultivation of his voice and talents is no tricks and no magic at all; though he is gifted by God with grace for music but his years of hard work of practice and experiences proved it to us and to the world … that indeed it is possible. My other concern whenever I listen to music is that, I usually ask: WHAT MESSAGE THIS MUSIC BRINGS ..? TO THE WORLD..? TO PEOPLE..?
Although Dimash music are very good, full of content and meaning but I like most this music, because for me it speaks a message of truth, values and realities of human life. I feel that, it is not just enough to give my thumbs up to like this music, but I’m deeply moved to share something more about the richness and deeper meaning of it.
With due respect to the composers, writers and singers of these music for whatever their purpose and intention would be, will always take precedence. The thoughts that I will be sharing below is only the fruits of my personal reflections based on the things that I highly valued and on how I perceived it myself and the message of this song that reaches out to me. I like this music because it reminds me the Truth, Realities and Precariousness of Human Life particularly Suffering and Death)
SONG FACTS: The song is from French Rock Opera called Starmania. Originally it was sung by Daniel Balavoine who had a sudden death in a helicopter accident in 1986, who is known of his beautiful voice. Later, it was covered by Gregory Lemarchal, a young French singer who inspired Dimash to sing “SOS d'un terrien en detresse” who at all odds won the 4th series Reality TV Program Star Academy, despite his failing health and became an overnight success in France but had a shorter career, for he died young with his unusual illness of Cystic Fibrosis in 2007 at the age of 23.
Recently it was unbelievably covered by Dimash and from time to time Dimash sung it in memory of his great friend Denis Ten an Olympic figure skater from Kazakhstan who was stabbed after a dispute with people who allegedly tried to steal a mirror from his car in his home city of Almaty. He died of massive blood loss from multiple wounds at the age of 25 in 2018. The song has sad lyrics: “a soul’s plea for help or an earthly being in distress” because it is a human being who is in anguish searching for the absolute.
MY THOUGHTS AND OPINION OF THIS SONG (REF CCC): Suffering and death is one of the realities of human life. It is important that we should know the basic truth about it, so that it will not cause us fear and distress in our human life’s , but rather to remind us all of our ultimate destiny as people of faith. For me, there are 3 kinds of suffering we experienced in life:
1st suffering that God allows, 2nd suffering which is the results of our own choices and decisions and 3rd is the suffering which is cause by other people to us. In whatever forms of suffering we are experiencing, know that, if it is discerned well it will gain us eternal merit. Note that, it is not important how much and how long we suffer, or who cause us to suffer, but how is our attitude towards it when it comes into our life…? All of these three can be an opportunity of grace that we will grow in virtue, when we accept it with humility, discernment and faith in God.
Our usual human tendency is, if we can, we try to avoid any kind of pain and suffering in our life. However we can’t deny also that life is mixed up of many learning experiences both in joys and in difficulties and I supposed we need it both, because it contributes and helps us mature and grow over time in many aspects of life. Suffering and death may seem contrary to our own human thinking or world’s way of thinking but in it, there’s a certain wisdom which is richer and deeper that no one can fully understand.
Suffering reminds us the real fact that we are all fragile human beings; that we are limited and we are not God. Sufferings are human reality and consequences of sin that affects us all. It helps us see the real worth and value of things and meaning in life. It sharpens our awareness that this earth is not our permanent and true home. We should remember that we are only strangers and pilgrims on this earth”.
Suffering purifies and refines us of any life’s superficiality into an authentic one. Though no one really is actively searching for suffering in his / her life, but honestly truth compels us to admit that sufferings do have a great value in our life and by experiencing it personally in reality, you will never be the same person. But through the original sin that enters human lives, our nature has been wounded, and is now subject to suffering and death.
This was not part of God’s original plan, but now is already part of our human lives reality. Death for us is a frightening mystery because we are being stripped off of all our attachments to this world; our body lies corrupt; our immortal soul goes to meet the Lord. We will see the whole truth of our lives, and we will face God’s judgment. Death creates in us a feelings and emotion of fear, separation, sadness and pain.
Many times we evade this reality and we try to question and even argue with God why…? But all our efforts failed because whether we like it or not at the end, we all die. Death comes in our life anytime anywhere. No material things, good health, young age can guarantee of its extension. The truth is… in front of death we are all poor and powerless.
If this life were the only one we had, death would definitely be the great tragedy. Death is such a peaceful, joyful event in our life, if we die reconciled with God and at peace with others as well. Death is unknown to all of us, therefore, it is best that we should prepare at all times.

Actually, 'those people' didn't know what to expect. They were asked to give him a warm welcome because he was a 'foreigner' invited to be on the Chinese show, The Singer. That was his first performance. He was 22 years old then. Needless to say, they were gobsmacked. The next morning he had to have bodyguards. If you like his lower register, 'Ogni Pietra/Olimpico' is a good choice.
Dimash is definitely the best vocalist I've ever heard in my lifetime. He really can sing any genre he chooses and mixes them together. You can't tell from watching him here but he's 6'3" tall and always seems to tower over most everyone else he's with. You might really enjoy Olimpico from his Arnau concert. Listening to ANY reaction on Dimash! I am a fan of him, from Romania! I watched also all the "Charismatic voice" ' reactions on Dimash (whom I discovered, by the way, in 2019 - two years later on this Chinesse show 🥴). Dimash is a very humble and open-minded guy, maybe he will call you to collaborate with you. I would do it! ... Here, in Romania, we have Inna, also a humble and nice singer who became worldwide known, but who always accepted ANY song composed for her by any songwriter, so she released many albums... 👍🎧🇷🇴

Yes you're absolutely correct, the eyes have it.. One of the older competitors at this I Am Singer said that he has the eyes of a person with long and deep experience despite his youth.. Dimash is, besides his artistry as a singer, a standout human being..
The way I found to celebrate the majesty of Dimash's talent was to write the following about him: If I were to rule the world, I would immediately add to the universal declaration of human rights another article (they would become 31) whose wording would be as follows " All human beings have the right, at least once in their lives, to hear Dimash sing ". I am a Professor and I believe that I have a special profession that allows me to transform the human heart and consequently the human society. I work with young people and young people need to have good references. I had been looking for someone for a long time, whom I could talk to the young people I work with, as a good reference. That person should be young, a super talent, a super mega star in the art world and above all, because he is the most important, a good human person. I searched and never found anyone with these characteristics. Until, 1 year ago, I met this person and that person is Dimash. I had the opportunity to say this to Dimash, personally, when I was with him in Latvia where I went, coming from Portugal (there are 8000 km round trip), last March 7, 2020. We've all had the same emotional reactions...Dimash's Dears don't judge :). We are simply thrilled you've chosen to entertain the perfection and love that Dimash both embodies and encourages. He doesn't just slide by in anything musical, he pushes himself higher in every song and he does it for his Dears (they are family to him). When he smiled his little smiles, you kept saying 'HE knows, HE knows', but that ego is for mere mortals :)...he is Aware, but he was thrilled to be there and is also very hard on himself--not for his ego or his career sake, but because he was raised in Kazakhstan by his grandmother and g-father and values love, family and country in the purest ways and he perfects his craft for his Dears.

This song was sang in 2017 at 22 years old he was invited to China as a wild card to compete with established professional singers and it's the first song he sang, overnight he became a star. Personally, I think that Dimash is a musical virtuoso of our time. He is originally from Kazakhstan, and he will be 27 years old (in May 2021). Dimash has been officially training and performing for more than 21 years. At the age of 5, he was found to have perfect hearing. Dimash is often called the best male singer in the world. Dimash is known for his exceptionally wide vocal range (from bass to soprano to whistling register). It is recorded that he has a range above six (6) octaves and continues to improve his ranges and techniques. Dimash is a phenomenal Vocal Storyteller.
Dimash calls his style " Innovation "[neoclassicism] in the genre of classic crossover. There is much debate about whether Dimash is a tenor or a baritone. Many vocal coaches believe that Dimash is a high baritone. Dimash combines many styles, such as classical (Opera), Modern (Modern, Pop, R&B, Jazz, Rap), Pop and traditional Kazakh folk music.

OMG! Katrina, your words brought back a memory of years ago. We had a snowfall in Maine the night before and freezing rain after that. When I looked out that chilled winter morning, the sunrise was bouncing off three acres of smooth, rolling hills that looked like a diamond 💎 studded blanket of crusty, hard-packed snow. A prism of rainbow colors just rolled over the lawn as you moved your eyes and they were the softest blues, pinks, yellows, purples I have ever seen. A photograph did absolutely NO justice. I couldn't even paint it because looking right down on the icy snow just made me realize that I wasn't seeing the colors on top, but from underneath the layer of ice, the sun was picking out millions of actual snow ❄️ crystals in layers beneath the ice and magnifying their shine and colors. Dimash is like those layers of unnaturally soft, moving colors that wind themselves into your memory

I dropped out of music media before folk-singers and the Beatle-craze began because I could sense the lack of almost everything that was SUPPOSE to be talent, just up 'til by sheer accident I heard him sing a duet with Lara. I was drawn to Dimash but not Lara or anyone else. I still feel estrange by most of the media bit, but I love Dimash's lovely gift and most of all his demeanor of humility ❤. Hehe yes, he does not only have range but he has angel voice with excellent vocal and breathe control at 22 years old. Now he is even better but that’s for you to find out. He is unique, there are many singers around the world but no one can sing like him. One master said that Dimash has many colours on each of his registers, but what makes him incredible is how seamless the transition between all of them.

You won't be listening to his music on the radio or seeing him often on Western television, but this artist's fan base is larger and more loyal than some of the most famous and international pop stars.
People will fight you online if you pronounce the wrong name, your fans will spend hours watching your videos, opening fan clubs around the world and leaving long comments on UA-cam with the story of each song. They are obstinate and well prepared. My question was necessary at this point. What made these people so close to him, and what does he have that other artists don't?
He doesn't need paid advertising because his fans will do it for free. They genuinely love this artist so much that they want to make him known at all costs. Some claim he provides them to overcome depression, others say he has changed their lives with his music, some fans even believe he is an angel or a superhuman. If you send in that Michael Jackson had some diehard fans, Dimash fans, who call themselves Dears, are clearly above them all.
As soon as I heard his voice, I was immediately impressed in 2017. No wonder his fans are obsessed, his voice is incredible and, at first glance, he also seemed like a very humble person. The 26-year-old Kazakhstan artist reached stardom for the first time after participating in some national competitions and spreading his fame abroad, taking second place in the Chinese program - I Am A Singer 2017-. In this show, he was the youngest participant to compete against established and professional Chinese artists.
One of the songs I heard him sing was a popular "S.O.S d'un terrien en détresse". A French song by Daniel Balavoine.
I was immediately impressed by his incredible technique and delivery. His vocal training is formally classic, but he can sing pop songs extremely well. Your choice of original songs and covers is never obvious and always leaves the listener in awe. What shocks me the most is the use of the vocal fry technique. He manages to hit super low notes and jump to highs so perfectly, without ever failing. Above all, the most impressive feature of his voice is the use of the "whistle".
I never heard a man use this technique before Dimash. Sorry Mariah, but her whistles are incredible. You just need to listen to his songs for yourself, because it is impossible to explain this talent with words.
His vocal range is incredible. Its length is 6 octaves and 5 semitones, ranging from a low A1 to an incredible D8.
Observing this, the highest note male record is an F # 8 and Dimash is only 3 semitones from him, I wonder if one day he would try to beat the record. Another thing that caught my attention, was the perfect pitch always impeccable .
He is probably the only singer who has never been challenged on any score, which is why many people have given the nickname "Alien".
But impeccable technique and interpretation are not Dimash's only qualities. We learned about his humanity at the -Best show in the world-, a reality show competition, where he competed in 2019.
After a few episodes, when Dimash learned that he needed to compete with the kids, he decided to give up. He explained to the crowd that he was unaware of any competition with children when he signed the contract, and such an action would have been against his morale. Incredibly, that explanation was not included in the broadcast episode, which left us perplexed after listening to RuPaul, or I must call it the "Paul Rude" explosion.
Dimash's resignation was, in my opinion, an altruistic and humble act. It takes a great man to give up his dreams to maintain his integrity, and that is what we saw in this incredible artist.
The American show increased the popularity of the Kazakh singer abroad, so much so that one of his songs, in Kazakh language, debuted on MTV USA in October 2020.
The love for his country and his honesty are always visible in all his performances. Each of his concerts always includes cultural aspects related to his country, such as the use of private instruments for accompaniment or traditional clothing and singing styles. I think the choice to sing in your native language was anything but casual. I believe that one of his goals is to increase the popularity and recognition of his country.

It's so fun for us "Dears" (that’s what Dimash calls his fans because he loves us as a dear family) to see how people react to him.
Some info about Dimash. He is from Kazakhstan and has been music schooled sense 5 years old and told the teacher that the piano was out of tune! He sings about 6-7 octaves or so! No one knows he is still learning. He sings higher than the piano can go! He also writs and compose own songs, plays bunch of instruments including Dombra there own Kazakh instrument that has a sound you can’t believe! He also sings in about 12 languages and speaks 3 so far. He is born in May 24 1994.
Dimash has an excellent education: he graduated from the College of Music with a degree in Opera Singing, university of arts in the specialty "Estrada and jazz vocals", and on June 18, 2020, he completed a master's degree in Composition. He graduated with a degree in opera from the music school at the University of Aktobe (2014), a degree in pop/jazz from the National Arts University in Nur Sultan (2018), just completed his Master's degree in composition (June 2020) and approved to start his PhD.
He have done some contests in his life but the one I think got the worlds intension is "The Singer" (Allso called "I am a singer" or "Singer") from China in 2017. The Singer is a program for established Chinese singers to face off against each other invites only in a competition where votes were cast by an audience of 500.
Dimash Kudaibergen was a last-minute inclusion (a 'dark horse'). But his performance of 'SOS D'un Terrien En Detresse' electrified the audience, his fellow competitors and the viewers who numbered in the billions (this program was one of the most-watched in China and outside).
They also got him the nickname "Imported little brother" the day after the show. They also had to get bodyguard for Dimash do to the famous over night both in China and also the world. Dimash wasn’t really prepared for that. He had come to China at 22 years young man by him self and didn’t know the language. They hade contracted him for 2 shows because they didn’t think he cold go further than that. He didn’t think they would like him. So he was nervous this performers that he had also to start the show with. But they hade to change that do to his famous over night.
Dimash got many new friends from this show and he said at some point he learned a lot from it to.

If I remember correct he wrote the music to this one when he was 17 or 19 years old and lyrics by Oral Baisengir, who was a poet/lyricist father of a friend of Dimash. Also in this show another contestant "Terry Lin" that was about 51 years young here he considered Dimash a dear friend at this point. But Dimash started telling them al he was his father around episode 9 I think!! That is a big respect and love from his part of the world to call him! Terry was gladly accepting it. They are still that close and also invites each other to there concerts and sometimes singing this song in duet to. They sang it in Jackie Chang movie festival in 2019 and Jackie was choked in how good they were. Terry was known as an alien before Dimash and they have similar vocals to.

Lol, EVERY song is like that for me...new and old songs because he performs the same song differently every time :). If I want to get that new-like feeling with Dimash, I go to the Chinese channel (with English subtitles) and watch the 2017 I Am Singer competition where with background footage we're introduced to him for the first time. It is fun to watch the whole episodes for me since the other singers are all seeing and hearing him for the first time...as a competitor!(no stress there😱)--it would have been easy to hate on him if he wasn't such a naturally loving person and so supportive of other singers and happy for their successes 🙃!

If you like his lower registers, try Sinful Passion at Sochi, Love is Like a Dream, Olimpico (aka Ogni Pietra) at Arnau concert. Also, if you can’t wait until the next reaction, try Dimash’s later performances of SOS, try SOS at Slavic Bazaar a year later in 2018, and many fantastic recent performances of the song in 2019/2020/2021! This was his first appearance in front of this audience, and he was unknown in China. The contest is 13 episodes, and open by invitation to established professionals. Dimash was invited after he sang for China's premier at a diplomatic event in Kazakhstan (and after winning many regional international contests). The audience was urged to make Dimash feel at home, and give him a warm welcome. At 22, he was the youngest singer ever to perform in the contest. The song got 50 million hits overnight, and he woke up the next morning a superstar in China, already recognized in the streets. Instead of performing as the organizers expected, and being voted off after his second performance, he went on to complete the contest and get second place overall.
His second performance, Opera 2 (a Vitas classic) seems chosen to show his playful side, and allow him to show off a little more of his upper range. It's a piece of fluff, but technically difficult and lots of fun. It clearly worked to further endear him to the audience. (In this contest, the audience votes determine the weekly winners.)
Sinful Passion or Adagio are good choices to hear more of his lower range.

Yes, he is as close to perfection as you can get. Please do Dimash, Sinful Passion. You haven't seen anything yet. He sings in many languages. Sinful Passion is in Russian but has English subtitles. NO... don't watch them without us. Dimash sings what he calls Neo Classical. You also have to remember that this was in 2017. He has practiced since then.
