    There's really no other band that I'm aware of that has 6 voices, and uses the 6 voices from time to time, nobody else does that, their energy is off the hook, their musical arrangements are beyond reality, talent in the stratosphere, truly a band that I listen to on a daily basis, they just make me happy.

    Hana was Gacharic Spin 's original drummer from 2009 to 2019 when Yuri join the band The around the same time Angie joined the band and still occasionally plays the drums during certain songs she primarily does vocals and rhythm guitar and sometimes trades leads back and forth with Tomo-zo

    The Allman Brothers Band was from the 70's with two drummers and like the Allman Brothers, Gacharic Spin was born to perform live shows. The talent of these women is astounding. Also it is rare to see Tomo-zo not wearing a cute frilly dress.

      Hana says she can play every member's instruments (ua-cam.com/video/YuD8U_gWu0s/v-deo.htmlm24s). She's also written a lot of their lyrics and arranged some of the songs.
      Hana's pretty good.

    Tamu sat in with them at a Naon Yaon show when Yuri was on Maternity leave and they had a male drummer filling in.

      @MaartenT 13 днів тому +1

      The male drummers name is Levin, I forgot which band he plays in. Levin can't play Naon No Yaon since it's a female only festival where even the crewmembers have to be female if I'm not mistaken (obviously this doesn't apply to the crowd). You can see Tamu sightread while playing drums in the couple of videos from her playing with Gacharic Spin. You can see Levin in the I Wish I video since the whole self-titled album (the one with Mindset on it) was recorded while Yuri was on maternity leave. Hana played drums on the studio tracks, but for the MV they used Levin since Hana was singing and playing guitar (not like the Mindset video where she was playing drums).

    Discovered Japanese women in rock/metal in 2016 after being in a music desert for decades, I've never been happier in 64 years.

    It's well worth watching Gacharic Spin's live performances. As the sticker on my copy of their self-titled seventh album explains: The best and strongest live show is a must-see.
    While this one is fresh in your mind, I'd encourage you to check out this alternative arrangement of Tamashii: ua-cam.com/video/DzoxNWNnFpw/v-deo.html
    It clearly references the one you just watched.

    The 2 drummers in this track are Hana and Yuri. Hana went back to drums for a couple of tracks (so they used 2 drums) in this 10 years anniversary concert. Yuri (and pink haired singer Angie) only just joined the band in 2019, so they were only in the band for a couple of months or so before this concert took place. Gacharic Spin never shy away from doing crazy things with instruments and people changing positions if possible. They have done so in the past with one of the dancers as well for example.

      @@willemkoekemoer5042 Tamu filled in at Naon Yaon for their at the time tour drummer Levin, cause at Naon Yaon are no male musicians allowed.
      The other time was for (iirc) 2 gigs, when Tomo-Zo was hospitalized for a week - Hana switched to guitar for those 2 gigs and Tamu helped out on drums (That was during the time, when only Mai was left as a performer 2017/2018).

      @@willemkoekemoer5042 Nobody said anything about her being a fulltime drummer for Gacharic Spin. She just filled in a couple of times instead of moving Hana to the drums again back then and using a guest guitarist instead. It's clear they knew and trusted her abilities more than trying to find a backup guitarist (with good reason). Btw, you can check yt for video of her playing with Gacharic Spin, search for Gacharic Spin Tamu. There are more, but that's the one I could find quickly.
