I think it's pretty obvious that the host knew exactly what was going on here and who he was talking to. It feels like a pretty contrived and even scripted setup. Cook was a brilliant comedian, one of the best ever, but the 'improvised' nature of his content is often greatly overstated, in my view.

LBC is no longer the innovative radio station as of old..... Today it's all about what they have already decided what the topic will be on air or via text. Most of the presenters have a political agenda.....it's very boring.... Above All they have relegated Clive Bull to overnight on a Saturday..... enough said. ...now all you can listen to is the bores about covid..... The nation needs alternative listening and this truly is the time.
