The single from the album was Jacky Blue, a top 40 song . We got the album in 75 and I wasn't expecting country and this was the best song on an excellent album
These guys didn't even know Jackie Blue was on the charts til they were congratulated for the song being in the top 3. I try to go to the location that album was recorded at least once or twice a year.
I’m not religious by all means but I love this group there one if not the ultimate country folk band with great hits like standin on the rock beauty in the river and chicken train. Just to name some
A beautiful presentation of one of America's most sane and intelligent tunes (by one of the few groups whose work I would be proud to share with my great-nieces & nephews). Thank you so much, and "God-Bless" from this non-religionist geezer!
Lembro que eu escutei essa música em 1984. A primeira coisa que fiz foi comprar um disco, na época de vinil de coletânea country. E depois de anos consegui comprar em cd. Momentos que nunca esqueço, e escuto até hoje. Abraços à todos.
Thanks for your comment. I use software called Pro Show Gold (and now Producer - a more advanced version), made by Photodex. Widely revewed to be one of the best slideshow software products on the market. It is available on line.
+Elmira Santos Londe Yo no supe que en Brazil hay aficionados de country. En America del Norte mucha gente suelen de creer que ahi musica es para "Caipiras".
Lived in Ava. Mo. In 84 i was in H.S. sittin i. The choir room some one says,"Isnt that so nso from the Ozark Mt Daredevils as this guy walks through the building, and the other gy says yeah" i was to busy makin moves on a girl to catch who it was
Wonderful song of my life but this video doesn't get even close to the spirit of it. I'm sure you didn't get permission from them for this video as it's completely Powerpoint naff!

Thank you, Lord, for the Ozark Mountain Daredevils!!

Absolutely Right!
I was turned on to this album by a sweet little gal that I was dating back in the 70's. I thank the Lord for that precious gal every time I hear this.
So few people to have heard this, which makes me cry.
FYI I have uploaded a new video for another OMD classic "Country Girl"
Frank Nolan that is a sad thought! I’ve known their music since I was in my early teens! I had siblings with excellent taste in music!

JPR Thank-you, no religion here either, I just love the song and the imagery that it conjures up.
I used to be the same, but now I believe in the teachings of Jesus. But not going to church any time soon.
