💡Question of the day: What’s your thoughts on the rifle malfunctions from 2 different detective’s? 👇
Definitely not a good look for Sig. I question the advantage of the Sig platform and a subsonic .300 bk round outweighing the already battle proven M4 .223/.556 platform. I would also question if there is some type of PM on the weapon system and/or T&E process. The latest and greatest isn't always the best.
I would also be interested in finding out what the "exigency" was at that point. Kudos to the victim to recognize what was going down and to bailout from the vehicle. It might not have turned out well if he was still in the vehicle. Although it was a success, "outcome" based tactics is a dangerous path to go down, especially if there is no debrief in identifying both positive and negative. Great job by officers staying in the fight! Great podcast as well!.
They need a stand down and independent diagnostics investigation of weapons, mags and ammo. Until that is completed and determination is completed, stop use is in effect.
Thats a full stop on those carbines…
Definitely concerning. Long guns need to be life defending reliable and these, obviously, were not.
I always find it odd that people choose Glock for their reliability, yet everyone in the world knows what the true battle proven, undefeated, most reliable rifle platform in the world is.
Or could it be these particular magazines? I’ve had better function with magazine made by lancer made specifically for 300 blk than these old stanag mags which work great with 5.56, they can have issues with 300blk. I’ve got well over 3,000 rnds suppressed out of a 9” MCX majority subsonic.
I think the most important part of this whole video is the end of D4's footage.
"Thank you, guys. Thank you so much. Oh, thank God. Thank you."
D 2's transition from his broke long gun to his pistol was epic.
Smooth
@@shotsfiredpodcast50 Remember its always faster to switch to your To your side arm then realoading call of duty call of duty modern warfare quote and a real life quote !
Why what you are doing is a great thing...some of us know a cop as a friend or family member, etc., but not most of us (civilians). If people could see you as people that have/are great personalities, funny, party (when you review Super Troopers), serious, emotional and thoughtful, while also realizing your reality, that is the best outreach. More importantly, you are relatable, not an us and them, just a you and we. It's nice to spend a short time "hanging" with you guys.
“Always know the status of your firearm.” We don’t know the real reason for malfunctions, whether it be poor rifle or something kicking the rifle out of battery. We transitioned from Colt 6945’s to the Sig MCX in 5.56 and didn’t have any issues, other than the rifle being heavy. I preferred my Colt 6945.
This was a fairly well executed “Blue Angel” hostage rescue. Usually no plan survives the first round. Kudos to this team!
Its the problem of the rifle, Detective 2 fired 1 round the first time he pulled the trigger and the weapon malfunction after that. I've been hearing a lot of SOF units especially in France complain about how unreliable the MCX is in 300BLK suppressed.
Blue Angel??
@@emoryzakin2576 Yep, it's a technique used for open highway takedowns, although this one was done in a parking lot with a parked car. I won't go into the specific tactics, but it's fairly effective, as you see here.
Question also did the charging handle get snagged while exiting the vehicle and pull the bolt carrier far enough to unlock the bolt and not allowing it to return in the fully closed position which would allow the firing pin to hit the primer.
The bravery and courage of this police officers is simply amazing. I wish all of them nothing but the best in their quest for both justice and civilian obedience. Watching these brave police officers reminds me of an old police chief back in my day who was a no fail collector of bad guys and criminals. He loved our community and we loved him then.... and we still love him now. He was a known freemason, nobody cared though.....because he had our backs, and we sure had his. Without getting sidetracked one night the PC was arresting and apprehending a very violent criminal. Now, for some of you younger guys.... at this time, body cameras were still a very new thing and the local police were learning how to manage the body cameras correctly while still apprehending and arresting criminals. Long story short, the PC's body camera unfortunately malfunctioned and video recorded him planting a burner gun along with 1 kilo of narcotics on the subject. Unfortunately internal affairs ruined our wonderful police chiefs career setting back our lovely town indefinitely and the police chief was shortly convicted and sentenced to prison. Now days every jackoff with a camera "supposedly exercising their rights" is recording the police and shouting at the top of their lungs how police are consistently the #1 leading profession in domestic violence, and police are not even in the top 20 most dangerous jobs and the #1 leading cause of death of police is car accidents. To those antipolice jerks...I hope I make myself very clear when I say this?
how many times did you wear the badge? how much public service have you contributed? Police are what makes this country great! Support the police! #backtheblue!
That’s 50% malfunction! Sounds bad to me. If a life depends on it I want better odds than that.
Agreed.
Great job by AZ! Those guys consistently do great work.
Regarding the det who went “wide left” as you said.
He created an L shape to avoid fratricide and mitigate risk to hostage when he engaged the susp who was shooting at the base of the L, in my belief/opinion
Makes you rethink the Sig MCX
I saw this video a couple days ago, all I want to know is how this guy got a select fire UMP45
Legit the first question that came to my head. “Where the F do you get that?” Unscrupulous dealer or something to that effect but damn…
She called a UMP45 a “Full auto rifle”, when it is a sub-machine gun.
Yeah caught that…Who is that dudes gun supplier goddamn…
@@Edmak3 the ATF is probably wondering the same thing😂(fuck the ATF)
I'm curious if they had other detectives in the restaurant with eyes on the suspect in there to make sure they don't get hit from behind while they take the vehicle. Anyone got background on that?
Solid work gents💪🤙
Can you all do an interview on Billy. I would like to hear about his law enforcement journey. It would be interesting to hear from someone on the federal side / in fugitive apprehension.
Plan A goes to shit once the bullets start flying but helluva job and way to stay in the fight after the malfunctions… might wanna rethink those fancy sig’s
Agreed.
I would love to know how some random dude got his hands on a full auto H&K UMP 45. That's not a transferrable firearm. You can't just get them.
Cartel.
@@shotsfiredpodcast50 the question to that is. Where did the cartel get it and who gave it to them. Unless it was "stolen" from foreign law enforcement.
@@philjimito7250Cartel have LOTS of power, money, and resources globally…they have military grade weapons sourced from all over the globe.
❤❤❤luv you kyle and mark
Looks like they’re running Sigs for long guns. Need to get those looked at.
They are running Sigs. Not a good look for the brand.
I wonder how a criminal could get access to a fully automatic H&K UMP 45, but I cannot.
Makes you wonder.
There are a lot of malfunctioning Sigs in this sequence.
Great job by these brave officers. Maybe if our southern border was secure they wouldn’t have had to put their lives in danger.
What gun does the first detective have, is that an AR? AK?
My question the first time I watched this, and now again, is why does the guy that rescues the vcitim have to scream he has him multiple times? And why is there confusion as to why he has him? Do they not have comms between them as a team?
This confusion reminded me of that girl that got shot when one cop across the road was telling her to come to him and the others had no idea and shot her.
It seems to me that it would be better, when engaging, to have 1 or 2 people designated to transmit what's happening to dispatch, but the rest all need to be on internal comms, specifically for the situation they are in to avoid confusion. No? Is that something SWAT trains in? And not normal cops?
Damn shit sounded like a war zone with the automatic rifle fire…I’ve talked to some of the SPD SAU detectives and it’s 100% “The not fucking around crew”. If you caught their attention it’s only a matter of time…💀
Piece of shit sigs jamming on both cops is crazy
Wonder what they will have to say about it.
DET.1 rifle did malfunction but it’s because he racked his rifle twice the second detective did the same however the first fired almost a full magazine.
So let me get this straight: Det. 1, Det. 2 and Det. 4 all have Sig MCX rifles that malfunction, leaving only Det. 3's MCX running, that effectively ended the fight.
Great job guys breaking this down. Hellava job by the officers taking down these sh-bags and protecting the victim. Don’t mean to be a dick but a Little constructive criticism always helps; stop saying van. It is an SUV, we stopped saying “minivan” several years ago. When u say van, that’s equivalent to maybe a ford econoline type van, that would have been a totally different and crappy situation. AND as you know there is no such thing as a bullet proof vest, they are only bullet resistant depending on the round. Overall, as i first stated great job breaking this down!
Do you drive a minivan and trying to call it an SUV? 😂 JK, thanks for the feedback and support. Much appreciated! Now go trade in your van for a truck.
@@shotsfiredpodcast50 lol i knew i’d get hit back. Great job analyzing the video and happy holidays. Sorry I couldn’t resist the mini van thing!
Seen a few bad reports about how unreliable the 300BLK MCX rifles are from SOF guys in Europe. First time seeing it on video. Note that their 300BLK MCX's are all integrally suppressed with Sig suppressors.
We noticed the same with suppressors. Not a good look for Sig, that’s for sure. Wonder what their response to these malfunctions will be.
SIG is overrated with all the QC issues the last few years.
Malfunctions were due to the officers using non Sig ammo
-Sig (probably)
Great job by the detectives but I wonder about they're maintenance schedule for their rifles or ammo selection. I'm not so quick to blame sig if this was indeed a sig rifle.
I'm seeing a lot of videos lately showing police weapons jamming. I'm curious to hear something explaining why that is.
Man if that jam happens with one of those mcx’s you can say maybe is his luck or maybe bad ammo or whatever reason.. but that jam happened with both mcx’s especially in that situation.. that’s not good look for manufacture
Not a good look for Sig at all.
@@shotsfiredpodcast50 absolutely not .. I’m wondering what sig gonna do about it
@@davekyle5705blame it on the operator lol…
STOP FUCKING WITH CARTEL YOU WONT GET KIDNAPPED
Does he have the victim?
Not sure that it is good practice, when vision is obscured and you don't no where the victim is, to be spraying shots all around.
Egress. The word for someone exiting a vehicle is "egress," not "extract."
