For those who are wondering why Ford changed the rear spoiler for 1970. The 1969 rear spoiler that was available only on the 1969 BOSS 302's were hollow and started to sag in the middle, hence the change to a solid fiberglass unit in 1970. Nice car and good luck with the sale

I'm always so impressed by your attention to detail of your cars that no other on line classic/muscle car dealer seems to demonstrate. Cheers to you and your crew!

my uncle had a 70 Mach 1 but in grabber blue. his freind had a yellow 70 Boss 429. they used to drag race at Maple Grove and Englishtown in the mid-late 70s. wish he still had it (sold it when he got married in the early 80s). he now has a black 64 1/4 289 4-speed fastback mustang all restored. cool but not as cool or as fast as his old 70.

Awww, the Mach 1 seats don't have the Red Mach 1 stripes!! @4:41. I know they were available both ways, but they look so killer with the Red stripes.

nowitsabadtime Only the 69's had red stripes . . those seats are REALLY comfortable, and the rim blow horn is great to use

@@351charlie7 I believe you are correct about the red striped seats only being on the '69's. Personally, I prefer the all black.

Mustang fender lettering is way too high and the Mach 1 letters on the trunk are way too close together.

Had a 70 Boss 302 with rear spoiler. It had a trunk prop to hold it open and not "correct springs".

I sat in a 1970 fastback when a relative was at the Ford dealer looking at a Torino 500 GT , the Stang was Grabber Green but it was darker in person under the showroom lights. It didn't have the stripes but it had the 4-spd and Louvers with nice tires along with white interior with black carpet , dash, and steering wheel .
It was a unique time during the 60's where these cars got dressed up and pumped-up even for the 5 or 6 passengers to have the best of being a parent and performance nut when driving by yourself.
What an amazing era it was also to be born in 1944 and at 11 years old it was normal to see a Cadillac dealer with cars in the showroom that seemed to be massive and long , then , the 1959 Caddy with the Jet Age rear bumper styling and exhaust flame cone tail lights.

Correct trunk springs? Don't mean to make a fool out of you, but I don't understand why people make up fictitious things about something they do not know about and would rather make up stuff. In 1970 Ford revised the rear spoiler to a solid fiberglass unit & due to customer complaints of the trunk not staying open. They simply added a trunk prop rod that went into a little hole on the passenger side rear end cap. Also, you stated that this car was restored to the correct way in which it left the factory or dealership. 1970 Mach1's did not receive the front spoiler or magnum 500 wheels. Only the BOSS 302's & BOSS 9's

Anybody else notice that it's got a non-original rear spoiler? Look at the trunk lid, the pedestal studs should be mounted into the oval cutouts on the bottom side of the trunk lid. Also, in 1970 there were reinforcing brackets that are obviously missing. Wrong speedometer gauge also, that's a standard interior gauge not a deluxe interior unit.

Stu B yup. not a Ford spoiler - I still have an original spare one . . the interior is the standard trim for the Mach 1 pkg. but the center armrest looks different than mine. Those seats are still the most comfortable I've been in

@chevelle7t Not at all, I guess you could argue that a stick is more manly, but a automatic is easier to drive for many and are equally as wanted as sticks. The only time a stick would matter if it was some super car like a shelby or something. This car no.

Peoplejarn A. 4 spd is always more desirable to the man that fully appreciates a true muscle car.IF A WOMAN CAN DRIVE IT IT AINT A REAL MUSCLE CAR.Why do you think boss mustangs in both flavors only came with sticks.Cuz they were muscle cars no woman was ever meant to drive.
