That's really fun. When I saw the post yesterday I did not imagine it being made from real bread. I guess it's less likely to decompose in the resin then most foods. I was sitting and making moon lamps for my kiddos the other day and I was trying to articulate to myself why I like this channel and it dawned on me. You know when you grow up with someone and then drift apart and you only know each other through Facebook posts now, but even though you don't talk much you think of that person as a good friend and you love hearing the life updates? Connor is so personable it almost feels like that. I 100% know I don't know him, but at the same time it feels a little like he's an old childhood friend. I think it's partially the wholesomeness, lack of swearing, etc too. That was more the norm around the people I grew up with, and frankly I miss that being more culturally accepted
Glad you liked it! Ya cause it’s sealed off from the air, it shouldn’t get moldy or anything 🙌🏻 and thanks so much for the insightful comment and support! I appreciate you watching and encouraging 😄🤗
That's cool bread guts and all. You should show the people at the hot bread shop on shore they would be amused and Delores that their bread got immortalised in a UA-cam video. Also well done on the resin!🤌🏻
Félicitations Monsieur Connor pour la magnifique création lumineuse de notre chère baguette et de notre précieux croissant. Une fierté nationale française que vous avez sublimée et parfaitement honorée. 🕊️☀️✝️
why did you pour the resin on instead if using a brush? and would you recommend not gluing the battery pack so you can access it easier to change the batteries?
Idk my first time using resin and seemed like it would coat the croissant better by pouring 🤷🏻♂️ and the way these LED lights work is you can slip off the battery cover still even with it glued in 🙌🏻
@@itsConnorCreates theoretically it still has microorganisms inside, i tried encasing an unalived worm once and it still rotted. Can you give us an update now if it is still not rotten or had grown mold?
Awesome lamps, how did you place the croissant, when you filled the inside with resin? 🤔 I get how you did the coated the outside with the wooden stand, but how the inside?
Imagine going on forest camping and lost there, then turning your baguette lamp light to find your way, i would be a shamed from the ghosts and bears seen me holding it😂😂
I love it !! I work in a bakery and have wanted one of the croissant lamps for a while now! Maybe I’ll make one instead. Quick question though did you get the resin on the inside as well? Or just the outside?
Thanks! Yes so awesome, you definitely should! And yup sorry I didn’t show as much of that part, but ya I did 3 coats of resin on the inside as well as 3 on the outside
so does the resin preserve the bread forever? or does the bread naturally decompose even if incased in resin? 🤔 also you seem like a very happy guy and i just subscribed to your channel!
This is so awesome. I am definitely going to do it. Do you think that it could preserve any type of food? As an example, what if I made a McDonald’s hamburger light or something like that? I realize it would be a different application, but can I just pour resin over anything and it doesn’t go bad?
Thanks! And I’m no expert on resin but from what I know the item you are preserving is best if it’s dry (so anything with a sauce, or liquid in it, etc) probably not as ideal
@@itsConnorCreates right on man. I have some experience with resin, but I’ve never done any projects with food ha ha. thanks for creating such a fun video. I’m definitely going to do something. Happy new year!
Hey loved the video!! I would love to do this as well and have a couple of questions: did you dry the bread before you poured the resin over it? And 4 months later now did the bread start to decompose or does it still look so fresh and tasty? And how long did you wait in between coats? Loved the video!!!
Thanks!! And nope didn’t fry the bread, after 4 months they look exactly the same! (As long as you cover them really well inside and outside of the bread with the resin) and I just waited until the resin layer was dry before doing the next one. Hope that helps!😄
Ohhhhhh, so THIS is where Temu got the idea from! And then half-arsed it, causing real food attractive to ants - and which would go bad and mouldy - to be shipped instead of reliable lamps! 🙄
Damn these actually look professional lol. Well-done
Thanks! Appreciate you watching and supporting 😄 🥐

My dude they look awesome! Definitely trying these myself soon.

I own a bakery….and have worked with resin. I’m definitely going to try!
Bagel lamp coming soon!
Nice, easy access to all the future bread lamps!! Love it!

🙌🏻😄 thanks for the support!
I’ve been putting off trying resin (seems like a mess) but totally doing now! Thanks Connor and Yukiko 💕

Bread lamps are the best

Thank you haha I am honoured too! 🫡😄
2:55 The resin on the breads looks amazing **eats the bread**
Haha it was very tempting 😆
Awesome your making me want to make my own!!!
You totally should! It’s a fun project 🙌🏻
I can’t wait to try this. Beautiful
Glad you liked it! Lemme know how yours turns out when you try it 😄🙌🏻

I love croissants so this video is perfect for me lol😋

Biblically accurate croissant! Love it.
🙌🏻😅
Will the croissant and baguette just rot inside of the resin? 5:36
They’re fully sealed/air tight in the resin so shouldn’t rot or anything 🙌🏻
@@itsConnorCreates theoretically it still has microorganisms inside, i tried encasing an unalived worm once and it still rotted. Can you give us an update now if it is still not rotten or had grown mold?

the baguette is my favorite also love your videos

Thank you!! 😄
This is amazing
Thanks!! Appreciate you watching and commenting Chelsea 😄🥐
That is awesome!
Thanks! Glad you liked it and appreciate you watching!
Awesome! What about the interior of the bread, did you pour resin inside too?
Thanks! And yup I did! Forgot to show it that much
Super cute 😊
🙌🏻😄
This makes me so hungry 🥐
I was definitely craving croissants the entire time haha
why do the glowing breads remind me of Rapunzel's glowing hair from "tangled"
This turned out AMAZING
Thanks!! 😄
Awesome lamps, how did you place the croissant, when you filled the inside with resin? 🤔 I get how you did the coated the outside with the wooden stand, but how the inside?
Thanks! Once the outside dried I just flipped it upside down and did a few coats on the inside of it 🙌🏻
Imagine going on forest camping and lost there, then turning your baguette lamp light to find your way, i would be a shamed from the ghosts and bears seen me holding it😂😂
Haha legit 😆😂
That looks so cool 😎 How long is that bread before it molds?😂 Also you need to wear a mash and gloves when working with resin.
Thanks bro! And it shouldn’t mold cause it’s fully preserved in the resin and no air can get to it
And good to know about the mask haha I definitely didn’t wear one 😅
Can you add em in a shop they look so cool
Good idea! 😄🙌🏻
How did you do the inside? How long did you let it dry before flipping over? I wish that you included that bit. But very nice job!
Same way as the outside just poured in the resin (and let the excess drip out) left it for 48 hours before doing the inside
Sorry I didn’t show more of that! I just felt it was a bit repetitive! Appreciate the feedback and support!
Such a cool project! I’d like to know how much resin do you need for one baguette?
For me, they look like golden baguettes/breads 💵👀⭐
You could of used stabilizing resin instead. People like Shop Time have done that before to make the bread hard and not rot as well
Okay cool thanks! I’ll look into that!
The best part about this video is when The bread and crossaint became lamps and i thought food were meant to be eaten but i was completlig wrong 😂
Haha glad it was a plot twist for you! 🙌🏻😅
What kind of resin did you use! I love this
A brand called Art Resin! And thanks😄🤗
The real question is, is the bread still edible after the lamp treatment?
Haha only one way to find out I guess 😅
They’ve been covered in resin tho💀
How long did it take to dry between layers?
so does the resin preserve the bread forever? or does the bread naturally decompose even if incased in resin? 🤔
also you seem like a very happy guy and i just subscribed to your channel!
Ya the resin makes it air-tight so it should preserve it forever! 🙌🏻 and thanks for checking out the video/commenting! Appreciate you 😄
I would find out how thick resin needs to be to preserve.
Lovely lamps, i would like to make some, but can't find those lights to fit inside... Where can i get them?
Thanks! I got them online from Amazon
came here from the waffle lamp video ❤️ this one is just as sweet
Thanks! I’m back to trying to respond to all your comments! 😄💪🏻
you’re so sweet 🥹 @itsConnorCreates
Helloo! You also coated the inside parts with resin, right? 😅
Hey hey 👋🏻 yup I sure did! I didn’t show too much of it but mentioned it. I did 3-4 coats of the resin on the outside and inside parts 😄
Thanks a lot🎉 I’ll try this ☺️
This is so awesome.
The bread works well cause it’s dried out and there’s no additional ingredients really 🙌🏻
@@itsConnorCreates right on man. I have some experience with resin, but I’ve never done any projects with food ha ha. thanks for creating such a fun video. I’m definitely going to do something. Happy new year!
Nice, let me know if you try and how it goes! :) thanks! Happy new year to you too!@@wiseblocks
1:25 More like cut into it sorry that was bad 😅
Hi Connor, I'm just wondering if this lamp will go mouldy or something like that...?
Nope! It’s fully air tight/sealed in the resin
I do good things ❤
😄🤗
Does the bread gets fungus after coating with resin?
Nope because it’s air-tight/sealed 😄
Didn't know I needed to make this, but I absolutely do!! Thank you
Haha glad I helped you realize it 😆🙌🏻 such a fun project! 10/10 recommend

True haha a new delicious pastry discovery!! 😋
Make a whole loaf of bread lamp!!! 🍞💡
Good idea!! 🙌🏻
DIY Jack-o’-lantern 🥖 🍞 🥯:D
I wish I had resin and could make one . ;-;
U shoudl give one to the bakery
Ya true haha would be cool decor there!
Does this work on other objects and/or food items?? Someone let me know
Ya technically it would! As long as there’s no moisture or ingredients that can go rotten
epic!
😄🙌🏻
1:36 I feel like most people would have just eaten it all!!
The resin you use is p expensive. Would you reccomend i pay out for it or can i get the cheaper stuff?
I think the cheaper stuff works too!
Bro predicted the temu situation
Truuueee haha except mine don’t have ants cause I did it properly and fully sealed them in the resin 😅😆
I made hand made paper to❤
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Awesome! Thanks for watching and all the kind support 🤗

Ya I inspired them!😅😆

Wow The shape on the glue in the container I don’t know why I just point out random things in the video!!!!
Alexa, turn on the baguette.
Haha genius idea
Ngl if i saw dowse things ill eat it😂
Haha they definitely made me hungry too
Ohhhhhh, so THIS is where Temu got the idea from! And then half-arsed it, causing real food attractive to ants - and which would go bad and mouldy - to be shipped instead of reliable lamps! 🙄
You should make a stand for da bred
Ya good idea!
Haters will say it’s fake
Haters can take a bite out of it and find out 😆
Please make sure you eat all the insides of the bread to prevent food wasting 😂😂😂 and i think you should get peanut butter too 😂😂😂
I'm from California, can you make a gluten free lamp? LOL
Haha an intriguing challenge
As a french, i 100% approve of this
Thank you for the approval 😄🙏
Lol u really do read all ur comments
Ur living the dream, and i hope you do for as long as possible
All fun and games until
*mold.*
They’re still in great condition! Because the resin fully sealed them and made them air tight 🙌🏻
Like you
😄🙌🏻
Connor Creates: I heard that it is dangerous to breathe around resin. You should wear a mask or something.
Okay good to know thanks! 🙌🏻
Can I eat it ?
I mean technically yes but probs not ideal 💀😅
Just one bite pleasee?
Wish granted
Nam Nam nam
Oh hi im just here to argue that croissant isn't a bread, thank you.
Haha welcome! Pls provide your main argument/point and I will take it into consideration
It's a pastry @@itsConnorCreates
That's like saying plants don't have feelings.
That is a very polite way to start an argument. I like it! Why is croissant not bread?
that’s like saying water is/isn’t wet
Did they get eaten by ants?
Nope! Cause they’re fully sealed/air tight in the resin they’re totally fine 😄
Why?
Why not

🥐🥐🥐🥐🥐🥐🥐
🙌🏻😄
what about the ants ? they will eat the bread lamp
Nope 😊 it’s fully sealed/air tight in the resin
