- Mary McCarty sings "Who Cares" and "Flaming Youth," a song that she introduced in the 1948 Broadway musical "Small Wonder." McCarty achieved later fame in "Follies" and "Chicago," playing Mama Morton.
This is a riot. Real old-fashioned pure entertainment - the likes of which no longer exists. Mary McCarty was so talented. Had only seen her with Jane Russell in "The French Line" and in a cameo in a 40's B movie. Thanks for sharing.
Wow I remember seeing her in follies. That number " who's that's woman" is still etched in my mind as one of the most memorable moments in musical Broadway history.
And just look at her.
God bless Mary MCCARTHY

This is simply priceless. Thank you!
So they never figured out what killed her when she was only 56 years old?
