Another way to keep the cueball on the correct path is called stun-run.
This technique is used when there is a possibility of the cueball turning off-line during either the stroke or if a position is needed which is only a small run on is needed on the next ball. What this means is you don't have to roll a ball softly at all, so the same stroke works for lots of shots. (even soft ones) I hope this answer's your question, but please only send the same question once. thanks, Kevin.

What I find funny or strange about snooker since Ive started playing it alot more now than pool, is straight shots are alot harder than angled shots!!! (Or atleast they are for me!).

these are only meant as a guide to playing, you could stand more square on to the table like O'Sullivan.
This is the thing to remember there is no wrong way... only what works for you. cheers,Kevin.

As an example it is possible to strike the cueball very hard to pot the object ball & only make the cue ball travel just a few inches to the left or right, to gain the correct position.

firstly make sure both the bottom of the cue tip & top of the ferrule are perfectly flat.
if not sand them until they are. next , only use superglue gel to bond together.
there are tools available to do these jobs very fast & perfectly too. cheers,Kevin.

Hi there, the speed of the shot is limited to ( but not by ) the position you need to gain on the table.
my tip, try to not roll the cueball. always strike it cleanly & always follow through. cheers,Kevin.

Thanks, will try this today. I think I am a culprit when it comes to being misaligned at address and sometimes missing the easiest of shots

This kind of shot is called a forcing shot. It is usually played when the angle is not really on, but it may be forced if you posess the skill.

this is video is essential for anyone looking to improve there game...for the past month Ive been putting these points into practice...
you will notice more consistency in your potting and your tracking of your next ball when you take the shot.

@MultiMeetube the distance yo need to be away from the table, is the distance your bridge is away from the cueball, with you back leg straight ie: vertical to the table. I hope this is the answer yo wanted. cheers,Kevin.

I am forever having issues with my cues tip falling off, for the life of me I cant work out what im doing wrong, I know this isnt the video for it but ive seen videos and I am copying whats being said on them in regards to fitting tips, Anyone a tip (Excuse the pun) on what glues best? or perhaps what on earth I could be doing wrong?.... Super glue isnt working and the cement stuff I got with the tips isnt working. My cue cost me alot of money, its annoying I cant use it.
    Anyway great upload.

Thanks Kevin, I will be getting some gel based glue now for my tip as im pretty sure the problem was the water based glue I was trying to use.

Its a very hard question because I have learnt (although I am far from an expert and am still a novice) that I can make the cue ball move to where ever I want it but only strike it very slowly to the object ball, sometimes I cannot get the cue ball to move as far or as good once its hit the object ball if I were to hit it hard.
Anyway great question, hope you get the answers you want.
I will say that the best way to get better at snooker (Obvious I know), is to pracitse, practise, practise.

1:05 wrong. My main problem in pocket billiards for the last 8 years has been the inability to see a straight line.
