  • This video has been created for those who are learning Japanese language.
    In this video, almost all of kanji in the Japanese subtitles are given furigana.
    So it's perfect for people who are not good at kanji.
    You can also learn Japanese that are actually used.
    Let's listen to real Japanese that is not in ordinary Japanese textbooks.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    I'm paying a lot of attention to Japanese subtitles. But I'm not good at writing English, so there may be some mistakes in English subtitles.
    Please consider English subtitles to be your help only if you don't understand my Japanese.
    I worked in Roppongi from 90 to 92 and I can still recall there was a "Cozy Corner" restaurant close to the road junction end and there was a Maruzen Bookshop I visited much often to the left of the junction reachable along the highway.To go to my office I needed to turn right from the junction and walk down slope to reach a building called Ark Mori which was next to the ANA Hotel. Thank you for the posting and this brings to me a lot of good memory during my stay in Tokyo!
    Definitely the difference in the prices for stuff can balance lower salaries in some countries. For example where I live the minimun salary is the equivalent of 300円, but with a salary above the equivalent of 1000円 (yes, that low) some people can live as long as they dont have to pay rent. To me 30万円 sounds like millionaire money but in reality a lot gets eaten by taxes, rent, and fixed expenses like water and electricity.
    Hello Yusuke! Thank you so much for the video! It feels as if I've wandered around Tokyo streets with a good local friend. It's great to see the city (I miss it so much!) and learn more about the Japanese life at the same time. In terms of language learning, your video is even better than a real walk - thanks to subtitles and furigana. I know that it takes lots of time to do all the editting. Thank you so much again!
    Video suggestion: It would be fun to see what kind of customer experience it is when you go and buy a car (kuruma o kaimasu). Also I don't know how the process goes for a foreigner who needs a driver's licence. This kind of information could be fun and useful for a rich foreigner 😁
    Salaries in Australia *are* higher, but the cost of living is also higher. I think it will depend on what industry you work in and what part of the country you live in as to whether the cost of living to income ratio is better in Australia or Japan. I've lived in both and I'm finding it a hard call.
    First of all: Thanks as always for your great effort you put into the video! And now on to some rambling in response to what you said:
    lol I'd happily cook for you if you pay for both yours and my groceries? lol (and you carry them home) We just have to invent teleportation.
    your monthly expenses are pretty low, especially if you eat out all the time! That suprised me, I kinda expected them to be higher in a city like Tokyo. I'll have to see if you have a video on your apartment to see if maybe you safe money on that end, I expected rent to be much higher. Instead, the costs for rent seem around the sameishish as here. Like you can get a decent 3 or even 4 room apartment for 650 € in this town. But it will be more in the popular cities. For example, in Munich you'd not get 2 rooms under 1k. (all that being "cold rent" as we call it. But you added weater, heating and such so what you said will have been a "cold rent" too).
    Money tends to be a sensetive topic. It was very interessting to hear your expenses, thank you for that. Here, if you earn more than 6k €, about half the money is cut away for taxes, I believe. Under that amount, there is like an upwards line as to how much taxes get deducted. I'm a "kaishain" too, and my salary is similar to yours, a bit higher, but i'm also a bit older ;) I think my taxes are a bit above 1k if I remeber correctly.
    That being said, as you grow older, you usually tend to get more salary for the experience you have gathered. I don't think it is so that just because you are old, you get more. You need to bring the qualifications, too. At least in theory...
      Yeah. Japan's prices are lower, but rent is higher relative to our prices. If we can get away from big cities like Tokyo and Osaka, our rent payment can be kept lower.
    もちろん、東京とオーストラリアと比べたらここの値段がかなり高いです。私は人口あまり高いではありませんの町に住んでいます(South Australia)。1ヶ月出費は3000AUD、家賃は2000(水と電気とWIFIがある)。だいたい週に五日自炊です。会計者最小限は60000AUDぐらい。
      日本円にすると 180,000円ぐらい!?
      家賃に2,000ドルも払えるなら東京の中心部でも余裕のある生活ができます。
      ちなみに 僕は千葉市に住んでいて 家賃は 65,000円です。
    質問なのですが、
    ゆうすけさんはなんのカメラを使っていらっしゃいますか?とても映像が綺麗でブレもないのでいいなぁと思いました📷️ また日本へ行く機会があれば夫の家族達に綺麗な映像で日本を見せてあげたいので是非教えてください!もし以前にカメラの話をされてたら、ごめんなさい。
      Shinoさん こんにちは。
      カメラは主に GoPro と DJI poket2 を使ってます。この動画では GoPro hero8 というカメラを使いました。DJI は中国製なので アメリカ在住なら GoPro 一択です。GoPro hero9がオススメですが、おそらく あと2ヶ月ぐらいしたら新型(hero10)が発売されると予想してます。GoProはバッテリーが小さいので本気で撮影するなら予備バッテリーを複数買うのをオススメします。
      動画の説明欄の下の方にその動画で使ったカメラが何か書いてありますので参考にして下さい。
    Make a video about welfare in Japan. What if you don't have a job in Japan?
    By the way, the furigana is hard to read because it's all over the place.
    It would be better to have smaller furigana font, and have it where it's usually, on top of kanji.
    But in any case, thanks for adding it, much better than just kana.
    こんにちはゆうすけさん。
    I need to comment a bit about saving money.. Regardless of how much a person makes in a month..Actually people can sava a lot if they stop buying things that they dont really need even if its a dollar. We can also save if we cook ourselves.. Simple nutritious meals.. Only eat out occasionally.. Now with Covid, thats a good reason to stay home and prepare own meals... My 5 cents opinion.. 💕from マレーシア
      Thanks for your opinion. Yes, of course, saving money is important. Unfortunately I can't reduce my working hours because of COVID-19, so I have to eat out.
      But I will try to save money from now on. Thank you 🇲🇾
    It's interesting to hear your thoughts on this. I'm in America along the coast, so my salary is higher than even the rest of America, but the cost of goods to buy and rent is very expensive in comparison. I always thought Japan was very cheap when I visited, but seeing the average salary, this puts it into context better.
    Thank you for the kanji and furigana. It's a lot of new vocabulary for me, but I definitely learned a lot!
  • @humanbean3
    In America, the salary for each person is very different. You can look at two people and one will make $1,200 and the other $4,000. Then someone walks by that makes $10,000. Is it like that everywhere I wonder?
    but getting a bonus is pretty rare here in america i think, that means you have a good job in my opinion XD
  • @beataks8859
    @beataks8859 3 роки тому +2
    In Poland you do have some bonuses for the number of years you have worked, but it's usually for the public sector - teachers, doctors, nurses, officials, etc. It's not so common in private companies. But what we do have is that the number of years in active employment means more days off and as a graduate you count in years at the uni. Some companies also allow for taking a couple of hours or even days off work if you had to do overtime, but they can be also paid extra if the law permits (sometimes it doesn't, and you will be asked to plan holidays).
