It really embodies that dreadful heroic feeling of sacrifice. That sorta supernatural dread that accompanies the scene.

In my head cannon tiangong absorbs enough power to return to their full power and uses that thought acceleration on nova. They numb her pain receptors and they talk have a final talk before tiangong induces a final dream. Tiangong powering a ship and Nova flying the blue and black ship into the astral sea where her soul now lays.
