I really liked it but I was a little confused who Evie was in relation to the family or if she was in the family.
Just saw this tonight, creeped the hell outta me, loved it! I totally agree with you that it has that dark, eerie vibe! Don't know if I'll be able to sleep tonight, reminiscent of The Witch, Hereditary
I do love a slow burn , I love love love the Witch and Lighthouse as well as Hereditary. I think this will be my cup of tea. Cheers for putting me on this!
This movie took me a few tries. Not because of indecision, but because the atmospheric sounds of the birds and animals in the woods, the wind, and the mother's hypnotic voice on the tape recordings literally put me to sleep, but not due to boredom.
I'm glad I found this channel .. I've been really enjoying it the last few months.

I need more slow burn, atmospheric horror films like Sator, The Witch, Hereditary, the Blackcoat's Daughter, the Dark and the Wicked, Caveat, etc.
Aw, man. I thought somone made a horror featuring Sator who is a Swedish rock band. The band was founded in Borlänge as Sator Codex in 1981. Sator Codex released one album, "Wanna Start A Fire?" and three singles before shortening their name in 1987 and continuing without their previous lead singer Björn Clarin and changing their sound.
This sounds like a great film and one I'll be sure to check out.

Hi Jeff. Writing from Denmark here, I enjoy your videos. I've wanted to contact Sony Pictures and Paramount just to give them some sugestions about what catalog titles they should release on 4k. I haven't been able to find contact information. Maybe you can make a video about how to write these studios and try to sound our horns for physical media releases. To make them know that we care and have certain movies that we would like to see on 4k.

Considering how many movies you have probably watched, you seem pretty credible as a film critic. I would love to see more of these kind of videos.
