I had one of those Squier P Basses as a kid. The neck warped beyond repair after two years. I then got a Squier J Bass, and the neck also warped beyond repair after two or three years. My third bass was a Washburn T-14 (cheapo bass with PJ pickups), which lasted me a good 5 years until the pickups died. I just couldn't catch a break with cheap gear and I had used such for so long that in 2018, after 13 years of playing, it was finally time to get a good bass, so I spent $1,600 on a Rickenbacker 4003, then spent over half a grand getting it modified to exactly my liking. Not one regret after having done that. It sounds and plays every bit as amazing as 12-year-old me thought it would after hearing Rush for the first time.
damn howd ur first two basses warp so badly.. Ive had my (quite cheap) ibanez clone by Arbor and its neck has been straight as an arrow and its seen a multitude of tunings and hours of playing.
@@DaisyHead666 They were the bottom-of-the-barrel Squier Affinity series instruments. Probably shitty wood had a lot to do with it, as well as Chinese manufacturing being utterly trash in the QC department back in 2005-ish. Oh, and I live in a climate where there's a massive swing in temp and humidity one way or the other between summer and winter.
FANTASTIC cover my friend, I have the exact same P-bass. It’s my first guitar I ever got and sleep actually made me wanna play the bass. Keep up the jams brotha this shit rocks
Long live Geezer!))

TRUE DOPESMOKER
Al plays on the 12th fret of the E string tho. it'll sound beefier and heaveir
Nima Nikpour was thinking the same thing. Not a single 12 fret was touched :,(
