Came to this after I just heard that he passed away. RIP Joe Flaherty. Now I’m looking for my Count Floyd album I bought back in ‘86. And anyone out there in SCTV land remember his cameo on Rush’s live version of “The Weapon” ? 😂
+ftsjr Yeah his Klugman is great, but I love Flaherty's Chuck Heston best of all. I love how his chuck always gets a cramp in his neck, lol... I don't know why but it somehow fits with ol' Chuck Heston, lol..
Him doing the Count Floyd howl, which makes no sense because Count Floyd is dressed as a vampire not a werewolf, not knowing when to howl and with varying intensity is so funny every time. It's like he's completely off rhythm somehow.
Final theory WAS a steamroller, after initial (incorrect) bulldozer theory. Quincy was always guessing until the final 5 min. Of course in the end it was simply natural causes...
Ive been saying it for years...Tom Green and Freddy got fingered is low-key master genius. I just realized that he referenced SCTV in that movie. Excellent.
If Jack Klugman ("Quincy") ever saw this, I'm sure he found it hilarious, as it was! This was so well done, especially all the ways that "didn't do him in", and great punch-line, not always found by the writers, even with a great concept for the body of a sketch!
For some reason a reverse senior moment came to my head. My son, who lives out of state texted me a clip from GQ where Quincy Jones was critical of the Beatles . It even the Quince with his accomplishments can dethrone the Beatles. So for some reason Quincy started bringing this Classic sketch up. Of course to really appreciate this is to have seen the original Quincy coroner series. Which I did. And I remember having spasms for hours from cracking up so much watching this . Superb characterizations ! I'm so grateful to see this again.UA-cam rules !
RIP Joe! I like the beginning where they bring in the duck (Daffy, who's black) when are these ducks gonna learn about drugs, lol. I never watched this before, its like a new bit for me, a good bit too. Thanks.

Nothing today comes anywhere close to this great humor. Joe Flaherty does a great impression of Jack Klugman.
After watching a few Quincy reruns for the first time in decades, I can tell you this is accurate.
Right into spikes mouth!🤣 spike chased him into a bread factory! But that didn’t kill him yet either!
SCTV was 100 years ahead of it's time.
Dave Thomas sitting there with newspaper comics and says we're up to our Necks in cases 😂😂
The non-stop 2 minute rant summary of the case that begins at 00:02:40 is top-form Flaherty.
Quincy was an amazing t v doctor. He diagnosed Sylvester's flattened condition in matter of seconds.
Quincy done blowed up! Blowed up real good! The Farm Film Report guys would be ecstatic!
Brian Reddish he blowed up real good
Ooo-wee!
Big Jim McBob and Billy Sol
Hurock😅😅😅
Hilarious! My guts are killing me. Flaherty nailed the rant!
Quincy: "Boss, I could kiss ya!" *starts to lean forward*
Boss: *backs away in horror*
I LOL'd.
If I was boss I'd happily accept. 😘

I love the original Quincy and I love this. SCTV is genius.
At the end Quincy surmises the case was HYSTERICAL 😂😂😂😂😂😂

SCTV, or Quincy?
Definitely sctv is a fantastic show in general! This episode is great for sure!
Both!
I love how Dave Thomas just listens.
it should be illegal to be this talented.
Or beautiful
I'm sure Dave had a time keeping a straight face during the explanation.
Thank you for this!!! One of Joe Flaherty's great moments on SCTV !
they all had a lot of great moments. immensely talented and funny
Joe Flaherty did a great Jack Klugman.

I'm guessing he is the ONLY one who does Klugman:)
His Kirk Douglas on "What's My Shoe Size" is even more amazing, I think he does the whole thing with his teeth clenched.
He also does a great Henry Fonda in The Grapes of Mud.
Wow. I had forgotten about this great sketch! SCTV was ahead of their time.
Anything Flaherty was in was always good. This is superb.
I know, right?

Yeah, I was surprised they didn't bring those boys in at the end.
@@bradencampbell464 That did happen in the Zontar episode. The farmers were hiding behind the couch.

Man, Sylvester was lucky to survive after being chopped into 20 slices then wrapped in cellophane.
Great send up of so-so show. Props to Joe for endurance during the wrap up!
This is Joe’s best performance Ive seen, awesome job sir!
The only makeup they did was tweek Flaherty's eyebrows a little. The rest is just his facial expressions!

The original Quincy, Jack Klugman's son Adam Klugman directed a commercial that me and my mom were in for Mark Hass's re-election campaign.

Classic Flaherty!
I noticed Quincy kept referring to a bulldozer until the final reveal when he mentions a steamroller...of course 😉

There was never a shortage of dynamite sticks in those cartoons, just like in real life.
