Hello I have a question, I have the stage one with no amp , but I’m wondering what dbs to set my front and rear speakers for the best sound and also the internal amp on the radio
We have a setup guide that's available to get you started. Consider this guide is typically used for systems that have an amplifier, so again, use this as a starting guide since you're really just tuning to taste: rockfordfosgate.com/rnt/rnw/docs/1355/harleyamptuning_9813_m5_pmx-hd9813.pdf
Does the new head unit still have / use speed volume control, if that's what you call it, so if you speed up or slow down the volume changes. It's a nice feature when you slow down or come to a stop. Thanks.
Hi! Great instructional vids! But I didn’t see a link to show what radio you used? I can’t find one with the 2 large black connectors/inputs on rear of radio...all the ones I’m finding only has 1 large connector...we have a 2002 ultra classic with rear speakers. Thank You!
Hi Dori, the video description has a link to the kit which uses the PMX-HD9813 source unit. Our radio has both 23-pin and 32-pin connectors. I have a note that the system is currently not compatible with "rear volume controls, rear speakers on 1998-2005 Ultra". This is because some 1998-2005 Ultras with rear speakers utilized two 24-pin gray connectors. What connectors does your factory radio have? You can see the rear outputs on the PMX-HD9813 here: www.rockfordfosgate.com/products/details/pmx-hd9813/
The O2 ultra classic has 223 pin adapters or plug-ins whatever you wanna call them! We just need a basic an expensive radio to replace, or perhaps just the housing because the housing black bracket is what’s actually broken. Can I send you an email of the pictures?
Since the 2019 Electra Glide Standard doesn't have a radio, you'll want to use the HD14RGSG-STAGE3 and use a Bluetooth module like the RFBTRCA. I'm including the video for that kit and the components needed below. You don't happen to live in Arizona do you? We could use a bike like that in an upcoming video. • HD14RGSG-STAGE3 - www.rockfordfosgate.com/products/details/hd14rgsg-stage3/ • INSTALLATION VIDEO - ua-cam.com/video/ku-xHaJ7cKg/v-deo.html • RFBTRCA - rockfordfosgate.com/products/details/rfbtrca/
Nice video, I have a 2013 Electra Glide Ultra Classic FLHTK model......looking for a similar setup......I still have the factory radio and speakers....its time to upgrade to the latest technology...what do you recommend....I want to be able to go fully integrate my android phone and Bluetooth capabilities with the system and my SENA Bluetooth helmet intercom....thx
Hi Danny, The PMX-HD9813 source unit does have built-in Bluetooth capability for streaming music from your Android. We have three options available listed below. Not 100% sure how you're intending to integrate the Bluetooth helmet intercom, so I included specs on the source unit's capability as well: • PMX-HD9813: rockfordfosgate.com/products/details/pmx-hd9813/ • STAGE-1: rockfordfosgate.com/products/details/hd9813sgu-stage1/ • STAGE-2: rockfordfosgate.com/products/details/hd9813sgu-stage2/ • STAGE-3: rockfordfosgate.com/products/details/hd9813sgu-stage3/
I see your reply regarding an Ultra Classic, but I still have two questions. I have a 1999 Ultra Classic, will the black 23-pin connector still allow the rear speakers to work and the driver can still control volume from front controls? Second question, is there no need for the grey colored 23-pin connector and will there be an adapter in the future? My girlfriend bought this radio for Valentines Day so we can listen via Bluetooth while traveling across the country, so really hoping it works. I’m really looking forward to it working as well. Thank you in advance!
Hi Au Diggers, Yes, you still retain handlebar controls. If your radio has two Gray 23-pin connectors, you will need to buy the 1130-72997-01 parts kit to use the REAR radio outputs along with running a new harness or tapping into factory rear harness to get power to the rear speakers. rockfordfosgate.com/products/details/1130-72997-01/

Hey can this setup be adapted to a 96 flhtcu?
We can't guarantee the plug and play ability of the wiring harness that plugs directly into the radio.

Hi Hot Rod, unfortunately, the PMX-HD9813 does not have an AVC function. However, it does maintain handlebar thumb control.
What size speakers are they?
With our VAST technology, they are equivalent to 6.5” speakers that feature integral mounting rings and grilles.
How many hours to install on average
We anticipate 2 hours on average, but can be 3 hours if the fairing is especially difficult to get back on the bike.
