My first tears with Dimash was Late Autumn. He tops that with Daididau from his Bastau concert due to his near tears. I have learned since if Dimash gets emotional and has tears in his eyes, mine seem to water automatically. Tears really came with Love Is Like A Dream. He had no tears but the words, the emotions and the pure angelic voice was enough.
His sos tribute to dennis ten in London will always hit me in the feels. I'm not an emotional guy but daang that was sad af. Especially when you hear that them 2 planned to collaborate one day, Dennis skate while dimash sings but the closest they got was dimash singing infront of a video of Dennis

I have news for you, the "original female" version is actually a cover. Eric Carmen wrote and first performed this song, and he has a video on UA-cam you should give it a look. I love the harp on this, out front and audible. In fact, the house band for the show is pretty notch every show, in my opinion. Oh, and as far as Dimash showing up, suppose you have a band, Stevie Ray Vaughn is your guitarist, do you tell him to stick with playing rythm or let him his thing that no one else can do? Same with Dimash.

If you want to have a non stop cry from him go to channel Gloria Wu and react to story and performance with subtitles of Autumn Strong and Daybreak. With story & words I can't stop crying every time he sings either song. He also does a changed cover of another Celine Dion song. The video is Dimash My Heart Will Go On Hainan International Film Festival 2018. For more recent songs with subtitles use channels Awakening With Joy and Dimash Kudaibergen. There is also a great version of Ogni Pietra Arnau either the live or fancam version where they focus on Dimash unlike the European Games version. Just discovered them myself when I saw them live at a festival. It was the greatest show I've ever experienced. I think you would appreciate it too :) They're from Iceland and play post-rock/metal. Something different for you to try on.

The "original" 1976 Eric Carmen version took the verse melody line from Rachmaninoff's 1901 2nd Piano Concerto, so he had to split songwriting credits. It is a overflow of a emotion. Some songs can give you that. Hearing emotions in a voice also can do that

When you say original version you mean Celine Dion. I'm assuming this since you said "she." But that is not the original version. This song is by Eric Carmen, who co-wrote it, and it was released in 1975. If you like piano there is a long solo in the middle; Carmen is also the pianist.

I am endlessly comparing covers internally, like what was my life like at point A, does that matter now, why might this be good why could it go bad what about person B. I guess its the little things in life that can be so interesting. Im already at this weird point comparing dimashs singing. In fact, I dislike an SOS version that favors a more precise french pronounciation along w arrangement more like the original as much as you could favor one over another for no real reason. Anyway it was nice to hear your thoughts, which seem like mine in regards to expectations and trigger me to type all this while I think about it. Therapy session concluded. :D
