I’ve noticed a pattern with Dimash: start slow and soft, gradually building, incorporating more and more drama until he bludgeons you at the end with his talent and virtuosity; often in live performances (not competitions) he loves interacting with his “Dears,” which I find endearing ... wonderful reaction!

Lara Fabian does a fine job of it, too - you'll enjoy her version. Dimash sets himself apart with his use of drama, starting at low energy and building to a climax. Few pop stars will inject so much drama into their interpretations. I think that's sort of sad. Singing is a form of story-telling, and there's nothing better than a story that makes good use of drama. Dimash's performances are memorable in part because of it. The rest is due to his virtuosity as a singer. He's unusually good. I've heard singers match him - or even slightly exceed him - in a particular pitch range and vocal technique, but I've never heard anyone who has mastered so many techniques across such a broad pitch range, or combined them into a single song the way he can do. His performances are adventures.

In October Igor is having a 65th birthday concert in New York that Dimash & hopefully Lara is going to attend. IF Lara does that would be a great time for the duet. Igor came out of retirement to help by coming up with new songs for Dimash & the first one is Ogni Pietra but PLEASE react to the version from his Arnau concert as I know you hated the one from the games. This song was only possible because of Lara Fabian. She came at it with a pop perspective but very emotional. Dimash took it (comming from a more classical training with a lot more technique)and kept the emotional aspect of it adding his own flair ( we stand on the shoulders of the giants that came before us).
When i hear Dimash sing this song i listen but it doesn't matter much to me, i would not listen to it again. To much screaming! When i hear Lara sing this she touches my heart.That's the big difference!

Lara blijft in haar luidste passages nog steeds mooi en rond maar bij hem wordt het "belten" (?) eerder schreeuwerig en zijn Engels heeft een al te zwaar accent. Misschien dat degenen die de versie van Lara niet kennen, het daardoor wel eerder mooi vinden.
