When I first clicked on this my thoughts were, “ugh second grade... I need 4th grade, this won’t help me.” But I was getting ready for the day and thought, well I’ll just hear what she has to say. Now my thoughts are that I am so happy I watched this video! These tips and tricks can be used across many grade levels. Thank you!

🌟 I love your energy! I can’t wait to see more of your videos. I’ve been teaching for 17 years and “teaching” looked so different back then! Seeing all of your ideas along with other teacher tubers I follow is an absolute blessing!!! 🌼

I'm a veteran teacher and started my career doing rotations but then there was a big move to whole group instruction. I see the pendulum swinging back in the last several years. I love your energy. I recommend you watch some CGI UA-cam videos because that's the latest and greatest. I did something similar a few times over the years. I definitely agree you don't have to start from scratch. Use whatever program you have and then augment with other things like TpT resources. Hope you have a wonderful career!

Hiii! I'm a bilingual teacher in Brazil and I started last year this CLIL-BILINGUAL teaching style in regular elementary schools and your video has just inspired and helped me so much that I can't thank you enough. I loved the tips and I worked the whole day based on your video reading and preparing things. I hope you keep doing this because your work is amazing! Thank you very much!!!

Your Math Rotation Planning Binder is the BEST! Thanks for showing it in action. Sure hope to see one for Language Arts soon! I teach in a combined K-1 classroom and rotations are essential to our success! Thanks again! New subscriber on UA-cam and follower on TPT!

Yay! I was so excited to see you made a UA-cam channel. I am moving from 5th grade to 2nd grade next year, and your Instagram has gotten me so excited for the switch! I would love if you could do videos on your reading rotations, your weekly schedule, and how you plan. I remember seeing your planning story on Instagram, but I would love to be able to come back and watch it anytime. Keep up the amazing work!

Thank you so much!! I have been looking for math rotation ideas and I have been over complicating it!!!
With math, groups would need to change ALOT as you move from one skill to the next. How do you assess the skills quickly so that you can create new groups and how do you manage that?

This video is so, so helpful! I'm a preservice teacher and it's sometimes hard to visualize things like this from my theoretical, not in the classroom perspective. I'm really interested in teaching math in small groups and this was exactly what I needed!

How do your kiddos manage independent work with only a 5 minute mini lesson beforehand? I feel like my kiddos would be in a complete uproar because of all of the individual questions they would ask.

Just a question about how you order your groups--because it seems students will be working 'at their desk' before they have been given the mini-lesson... So, how do you do that, so students aren't trying problems they haven't learned about yet? or do you start your highest group that way? Thanks!

I was wondering if someone could give me advice about doing small groups when you have 32 kids? I want to do things like around the room, hands on, etc. and there is no way I can see each group every day because to make my groups five kids I have to have at least six groups and when I have the kids doing activities where they can move around it gets really chaotic and I feel like I can’t focus on my teacher group with 25 other kids doing things by themselves

So, can I still get hired as a teacher, even if I’m not young and beautiful and charismatic like Cheyanne? And, even if, unlike Chey-anne, I really am shy? Maybe I should go by Cheydeb, and that might bring me good luck! 😉
But, seriously, if I ever get lucky and get hired again in my teacher-saturated state and county, it’s helpful to know I can use these practical techniques and tips and advice!
