I just finished the season about ten minutes ago (late to the game I know) but my family and I wanted you to win from the very beginning. We loved your respect to nature and overall positive outlook and were so happy you won! Very well deserved!! Now to be able to watch this video is surreal, thank you for filming.
This is such an awesome video. We all felt like we were out there with you on the adventure. To see this, even for us viewers is surreal. What a freaking stud and you got jacked! Thanks for sharing your life brother. Fricken beast!
So nice to see continuous footage of your path from beach to shelter and smoker. On the show it’s hard to gauge. Thanks for the tour. It’s so beautiful up there! 😊
It was so great you listened to the Cree knowledge and built a Teepee. Also, great to hear you chose a spot that was sheltered from the wind by the surrounding trees, that decision would have kept you warm too. Lastly, I loved the knowledge your father gave you to observe and learn, I will take that on too in life. Congratulations.
I’ve been looking forward to see this video. Man I can only imagine the emotions you were feeling! That was really cool that you could take Lisa along and camp overnight. I was amazed at all the physical evidence left after all that time. And pertaining to the impact you had on the land while you were there was honestly very minimal. Outstanding! Really appreciate you and your wife allowing us to go along with you! I’m hooked. Just need a hat…
@@alantenta9825 I enjoyed it immensely! How special is that experience for you & your wife & an overnight together! ❤ An amazing experience for you both & "Thank you" for sharing it with your viewers; that means alot to us. ✨🙏🎆
That really ties everything together about the site. In the show, its all like snapshots of this and that. Walking through it was so cool. Thanks, great job.
That was awesome. Alone is certainly my favourite TV show. Enjoy your explanations of what you went through and how the show is produced. All the best. CDN has won two years in a row!!
So cool Alan!! And to top it off to bring your wife! I think I would have done the same thing! To be able to see such a memorable spot under completely different circumstances! Thanks for sharing…truly enjoyed that!
This was lots of fun to watch! Great to hear you reminisce about many of the details of your time there, both the ones we the viewers didn't get to see because of the show's editing, and those that we too recalled watching last year. Thanks, Alan and Lisa for sharing this very cool experience with us and for your excellent recap coverage of Season 11! 🪓
Just finished season 10 last night! My wife was rooting for you and I was rooting for Wyatt but I was still happy with your victory. You definitely earned it.
So cool, thank you for sharing! I didn’t even like “going into” the cave via your camera, ha! Would have been way too claustrophobic for me, but I can see why you would consider it. I resonated with what Lisa said at the end-I wouldn’t be worried about my husband either, for the same reasons she gave. But I’m sure you missed each other so much, and it’s super cool you could return and “take” us with you!
Love it. So happy you got to experience that. I do have a question and maybe it's been answered before. When the production tears down the shelter, do the contestants help with that, or is it done after extraction? Whoever does it, they do a fantastic job! Thanks for sharing this experience, Alan!
You had it very mild. I was in Flin Flon, Manitoba when you were in Reindeer Lake, which isn't far away. I think it was Oct 27th or 28th where you got your first snow. That can happen in September. I was in an unheated camper with a $40 sleeping bag until November 20th. I've seen Octobers with blizzard after blizzard. The last two years were unnaturally warm. I have a feeling this year will be back to normal, and we'll never see that kind of weather again.
Thanks for posting this. It was really fun and emotional even though I watched from my living room :) Did you learn any photo techniques during your original stay that were particularly helpful and you will continue to use? Did production let you have any of your videos for your own personal use?
I truly think you’re the coolest person on earth, as I’m watching the show something I’m constantly thinking about is how some of these animals are able to survive in that place year round. It made me wonder if you had all of spring and summer to preserve food…. Do you think you could make it year round out there with the same 10 items given to you on the show. If not, what would you need in addition to those 10 to be able to live there “alone” year round. This too is excluding the mental side of the game, missing family and home and work. Think of it like an apocalypse situation you’re the last man on earth and that’s the only safe place left.
Hard to say…it would be more realistic with a community to share tasks. So much to do: foraging, preserving, hunting, fishing, mending, building, collecting. Cool question though, thanks.
I wonder if any other winners (or even contestants) have gone back to visit their 'Alone' campsites? Very cool. Probably a good choice to not go for the cave. I'd be suspicious of rocks cracking & falling with the heating/freezing cycles of having a fire; also of water coming in.
To return to the scene of the WIN...Spectacular 🙂👍

Your dream finally came true about your flaming chilli Doritos Tenta! And yeah agree with you, Tenta Lisa is a natural. This video made me smile.
Great to hear!

Well done Alan & Lisa
Just wondering if production could do a show on the best shelters.

Hello Tasmania! They seem to have stopped doing extension shows like this skills challenge.

Yes you’re correct: Juan Pablo Quiñonez Season 9. And the Baird bros from Season 4 too.

How far was the boat ride from the lodge?
very cool man.

Way cool

I hope other contestants do this. *and share* this is so awesome. I know dave n Larry did this. Please. I know all of the contestants would too
Happy to share the experience.
That cave thing looked awesome Alan, not sure I could have slept in that. It would give you the heebie-jeebies wouldn't it.
Ya, it was too much like a tomb.

Yes definitely learned a few things: use 2 cameras as much as possible, and make sure you are not too far away from the camera.
No, they have all the footage. You can request clips for presentations.
Very cool reunion! I'm curious who tears down the camp when a contestant leaves?
Safety team and survival consultants.
@@alantenta9825Thanks!

Going back would be so overwhelming but at least it's only for the night 🤓
It was, but in a good way!
Awesome trip Al. Glad you got to go back. Was that wildfire smoke?
Yes it was

Ya, good call. It was almost move in ready; just needed a roof.
Alan this is absolutely incredible!
David, winner of season two retuned to Vancouver Island. He posted on UA-cam
David s2 and Larry also to Mongolia
and don't feel bad about not seeing the grouse in the tree.. those things can be nearly invisible! You'd think they'd be easy to spot, but NO!
I saw 3 days with of food fly away!
Can I get a copy of your full documented experience?
Contestants don’t get their footage.
