"you got it ALMOST right". WE started as travelling Nomads, Built settlements which turned us into settlers, formed tribes (now we are in warring states "period"), fortified into MIGHTY Kingdoms and moving further Into Nations and finally Republics
Bandit Leader Yes, they’re Air Nomads, but technically, it would make more sense for them to be a nation if you count their territory and temples. Arguably, Nomads never stay in one place for long, so they’re really monks, who travel once they’re of age, or some may simply stay in their temples a bit longer to help out. They’re based off of Tibetan Monks, so while Air Nomads is the name of their people, they’re more akin to a collective. I like the names too, and I know the correct term is Air Nomads, but if you really think about it, even the northern Water “tribe” wasn’t really a tribe considering it was a huge city.
Well since the time frame is pretty pre industrial and Japan never actually made that many colonies its safer to say that the fire nation is Europe, Earth kingdom is Asia (china, japan etc) never conquered but cities like hong kong would be like republic city. On the other hand you could also say the new world was earth kingdom, but it wasnt that developed to begin with, while China and Japan were and they were never fully conquered, the northern water tribe would then be more northern America and the south maybe south America. Air nomads the islands like Cuba or something were nothing is left. But I dont think the Avatar nations can be copied one to one to the real world. They draw inspiration from many different historical nations and events I feel and mix it up.
@@swamidude2214 the basis for my comment is which culture the 4 nations were inspired. water tribe is inspired by the Inuits, they're basically eskimos and they live in the Arctic. Inuits also have a, mostly seafood diet. As far as I know there aren't any tribes in the south pole in real life. Earth Kingdom is based from the Chinese culture, architecture, traditions, art, and even writing and so on...even earthbender names like Beifong is Chinese. Even the Earth Kingdom's Royal Palace is heavily inspired to the Meridian Gate in Beijing. The Air Nomads are similar to those monks at Tibet. Those monks live in mountains too. They also have very similar clothing and culture. Fire Nation is inspired from the Japanese culture, architecture, art and writing and so on...That's why sometimes Zuko is mistaken for an anime character. Except for the English language that the characters use and the jazzy music in Korra series, there really isn't any sign of Western influence in the movie. Industrialization was of course started by the Fire Nation, technology and innovations was led by the United Republic and the Metal Clan.
@That Sports Guy they drew from a lot of cultures in Asian. Like, bumi, Naga etc from Sanskrit, guru pathik, even his wisdom and accent is of India'. In ba sing se even if it's heavily inspired by Chinese, we still can find korean' ornaments or clothes in the said city(*or so was claimed by Koreans that said that they spotted Koreans ethnicity there), the desert area is inspired by middle East, for the swamp I guess it's a bit looks like tribes or inginues people from Indonesia/SEA.
Great video, but 1 correction: Aang didn't master all the elements during "Last Airbender". I'm sure that people will jump down my throat, but Aang explains to Zuko (during episode 3x18) that he didn't wanna fight Ozai until after the arrival of Sozin's Comet because he needed more time to master Firebending. (Toph responded to that by saying that his Earthbending could use some work, too.)
I would love to live in all of these If i have to choose between them, i would choose: 1. Republic City 2. The Air Temples 3. The Fire Nation 4. The Earth Kingdom 5. The Water Tribe

cartoon freak True, I only added the other continents and their people because I figure it wouldn’t have all been isolated in Asia if it was in our world, since the Silk Road and other things were a thing. I just realized the four elements has their own gonverning system/names. Earth "kingdom", fire "nation", water "tribes" and air "temples/nomads"
It can also be viewed as a symbolism of human civilization. We started as nomads, then tribes, which led to kingdoms and finally nations.
