I watched a video of a woman returning home to her ranch where she raised Highland cattle. She called out into the field," Mama's home!" All these bulls came running to greet her and get pets, just like a pack of dogs. They loved her. In the comments she talked about how the more they are loved, the sweeter the meat. After 2 years of naming them, loving them and treating them like pets she sends them to slaughter. I don't get it. How could anyone do that? Those poor boys are sent to slaughter, they are terrified when they sense what is happening and they are looking for her to come save them. It was just devastating to think of.
It's remind me of a argument I often use against unabolitionist welfarist: Is it really better to kill an being that enjoy their life and the world around them, to rip it from them, than to kill a agonizing animal that only knew despair and pain? When you see a news report dealing with a (wo)man or a youth being killed by a serial killer or even in a (sadly current) car accident and that their family share how they were good human being "bright as the sun", "always smiling", "truly happy with the simple and calm life they lived" you feel even sadder for their sudden death. It shows their hypocrisy nicely I think...
What if there was a hypothetical situation where it was even the right thing to do? Don't say "any" reason, say most reasons in this world. Overgeneralizing isn't good, if you care about accuracy and truth. Although it is a powerful statement
@KK-lg8uz I explained why and how you were wrong about everything you said in previous comments, but UA-cam deleted my comments. The research you mentioned is outdated, debunked by modern science. Paleo humans ate more plants than meat. Meat and animal fat did not make our brains larger. Proven false. Try researching against your own narrative and be enlightened..
@KK-lg8uz And now you want to argue with Kevin that eating meat and torturing animals aren't the same things. Wrong again. They're one and the same. Let someone skin you alive and tell me it's not torture. You are a weak, sick troll..
Vegan from Sweden here. The Swedish guy doesnt know what he's talking about. There's no difference in Sweden, they've all been exposed so it's the same here.
"Just because you can be more cruel does not make being cruel ethical as a result. We don't call it 'ethical bullying' when a bully decides to only bully two times a week rather than five times a week." 10000000000%
Love, the guy at the end talking about local farms in Sweden, is literally known on the show for consuming vast amounts of fast food, lol. Ethan has experienced extreme cognitive dissonance on this issue for years and has even gone so far as to try going vegan. I’ve done multiple videos on this. Ultimately, I think that for him, until a reasonable number of people around him go vegan-ideally, some people in his crew-he won’t make the switch. I believe it’s the social aspect of being vegan that needs to be addressed for him.
The way the crew kept on snickering and giggling like immature pre-teens when Ethan was having an actual serious conversation on how cruel and horrible animals' lives are is very telling.
I think it's how NPCs deal with the cognitive dissonance, and the accusation of impropriety. It's like if during slavery times some abolitionist made slaveowners feel awkward, they would just childishly mock them. Very little going on inside their heads, but there is a bit of inner conflict there.
I lived in the country side and one time I saw a cow desperately chasing a truck taking away her calf from her. Its easier to think they dont have feelings thats for sure.
Yep, same reason there is still that racist myth that black people don't feel physical or emotional pain nearly as vividly as white people. The oppressors always have to lie to themselves so they can play pretend in their head as a good, compassionate person. They can handle being evil and thinking they are good, no problem, but they can't handle being evil and just being honest about how evil they are.
H3H3 does seem to be on the right track, but the problem is he doesn't have any vegan friends. If he has a vegan activist on the show then his viewpoint will significantly change and possibly become vegan.
He'd probably not turn vegan, as no one wants to be malnutritioned by eating toxic, mostly indigestible plants that have a very poor bioavailablity of nutrients, and missing many key ones entirely.
H3 is definitely on the wrong track, they've been haemorrhaging a massive amount of subs and paying members due mainly to Ethan's defense and justification of the Israeli genocide in Palestine. Ethan doesn't care when innocent Palestinians are being blown up and killed, so why do you think he cares about animal abuse?
The number of people who think fish are some kind of water vegetable is staggering. I used to go fishing (one of my many regrets in life), just because you can't hear them scream doesn't mean you can't recognize the pain that they are in when you're facing it. Fish are intelligent creatures, many of which can have complex emotional lives, use tools, etc. Going vegan is the best thing I've done, I just wish I had done it sooner.
I remember watching my dad "clean" fish in the kitchen when I was a child. Not only was the smell horrific of their blood, but their eyes just stared at me as they wiggled and fought for their lives helplessly. Just because they were born in a fishes body doesn't mean it's ok to torture them. I've always hated seafood after those days as a child. I didn't learn about veganism until I was 21 and I was like... damn I think I'm vegan lmao. No really actually the turning point was watching a video of a farmer grab a couple day old piglet by his back legs and slam him on the concrete floor, creating a pool of blood and horrific screams. The man literally laughed? I am not giving my money to people like that ever again. Vegan 11 years with a healthy baby and never turning back. I could never support animal abuse again.
@ the fish wasn’t looking at you….lol pretty selfish of you to have a issue when the fish is giving its life for you to eat. Eating meat does not equal suffering. Lmao they have hooked up plants to electronic instruments and get reading from them when removing leaves ect. Better stop eating plants!
I've never heard of this dude. He sounds like a huge hypocrite. It's not hard to go vegan. I used to love steak bloody, hotdogs wrapped in bacon, and burgers with a fried egg. Once I made the connection, I went "cold turkey" and never turned back. Actions speak louder than words, my guy. Awesome analysis as always, Ed.
Same for me, pretty much, but "cold turkey" just isn't the way it goes for most people. I think we need to be a bit more forgiving/understanding of that -- to cultivate more vegans!
@@adamh8388I agree that it’s best to “meet people where they are” and thus allow everyone their own journey to veganism, and yet how can a moral truth, once understood, be acted upon in only an incremental manner? Either one believes that vegan is the right choice, or not… if someone isn’t convinced, then they aren’t convinced, and perhaps some further explanations or other hand-holding might help get the point across, but until they understand why vegan is the moral choice, they will only be going through the motions in order to please someone else. At the point when someone *does* understand the immorality of harming animals, then the only viable option is veganism, no half measure makes sense.
@@jpe1 Right - I completely agree that once someone realizes veganism is the moral choice, it only makes sense for them to go vegan. However, in practice, there''s a moral inertia due to our living in a carnist society. Because noone else is vegan in a given persons life (e.g., Ethan's friends), one can justify these stages/delays. Not OK, and of course the animals don't care about this bs, but just the way of society currently. My main point is that - for someone in this phase - I think going the shaming route or the philosophical one (veganism as a moral obligation) is, on average, less effective than the guiding/compassionate route.
Words are quite loud when you have a huge audience like this guy. I'd be happy that he's talking about it to that audience even if he is just contemplating it and hasn't made the choice yet.
When you compare Earthlings message with Dominion's there's no question that Earthlings is way more convincing, imactful and most importantly unapologetic.
@ yes it’s the same image that haunts me today. I made a commitment to a friend that I would watch to the end so I did. I totally understand that you had to stop.
Their idiotic braying laughter when he talks about how torture and death makes him uncomfortable is gross and psychopathic. But horribly all too familiar.
Ethan Klein & company continue to defend and justify the torture, murder, and genocide of innocent Palestinians. He doesn't even care about other humans, so why would you expect him to care about animals?
@@FilzupBilburpI see this excuse constantly and I don’t buy it anymore. They’re grown adults, not children. They wouldn’t “cope laugh” at someone who opens up about being sexually assaulted or going through some other trauma despite being part of the oppressor class. They’re laughing because they don’t care and see animals as objects, and therefore think caring about them is something ridiculous - it’s that simple. There’s no introspection or self awareness happening at any level.
@@TheSadistNat1onyou're angry that the most of the crew are pro Palestine and Ethan is pro gen0cide? That's all that's changed lately and why people have rightfully turned on Ethan.
It's probably not about the concept of friendship but an assertion of dominance, the message they are conveying is that the argument is not relevant. If he thinks they are going to "obey" him then they are showing him that's not the case (It happened something similar to me the first time I mentioned I was a vegan to my closer friends, they immediately responded "You can do that, and we'll still buy this delicious X and Y dish") also it's related that since they are closer and sometimes make heavy/dark jokes, this can be considered as that type of context (even if for other people it doesn't makes sense or it's disrespectful (which it is))
That's an oversimplification of how relationships work. It can be explained to them that what they're doing is hurtful. The test of friendship comes in their response to that explanation.
As a vegan who has watched every episode of the H3 podcast, I'm SO happy that you made this video. I love watching the crew all day, every day, but my heart was hurting when I saw this exact part of the podcast. Your commentary on it, in your usual informative and respectful way, is exactly what I think Ethan will find helpful on his journey to (hopefully) stop the needless hurting of animals. I became vegan after I had to put my old dog down. Losing him was so painful that I decided to do my very best to never hurt an animal again. Ethan, I know you’ve got it in you! In memory of Shredder
It really blows my mind how immature people act when the topic of veganism and meat comes up. It really does shock me. It's like people become 8 year old children and are unable to just think with any crityical thinking. It[s pathetic.
To be honest since going vegan almost 2 years ago, and looking back to how I thought about veganism in the past, it terrifies to wonder about what other cognitive dissonances I still have, and what else I am completely blind to
@@Flat_world_watcher Haha no I meant more in terms of morality and ethics. Like, is there something people do everyday which is actually really bad and damaging when we step back, but we overlook it because it's so commonplace. ' Social' media, fast fashion/sweatshops and the pornographic industry are the first to come to mind
My meat loving colleague said she once bottle fed a lamb, and said she couldn't eat a lamb for a long time afterwards. So it's disconnect and conditioning that makes people addicted to flesh. We see a nice little package all wrapped up in the supermarket or wherever, and don't ever think that we are consuming someone who had a personality and was an individual, just as much as our pets are.
I sent this H3 clip to check out. I'm glad you were able to watch it. Hopefully you can call in to the show, share your perspective and hopefully change some minds in the issue. Like you mentioned, I feel like a lot of people are close to understanding, they may just need some discussion to connect the points.
I think he is capable of listening, but right now he's not. He's in a spot where any perceived criticism of or contradiction to him makes him incredibly reactive and just stops listening. I don't want Ed getting more hate, but if Ethan doesn't listen respectfully, if Ethan perceives anything as a slight, then there will be a shit show. So it's better to wait until he's in a better headspace. :/
H3 always irritates me when it comes to their convos about veganism. Dan wants to be a “I’m not like other vegetarians” chill guy and Zak obviously has ego problems and 0 empathy for animals… it’s so frustrating.
Oof that was kinda harsh - I’m going to leave it up because it’s how I’ve been feeling for like a year now. Let me make it clear I think they’re all good people at the core & I’m a fan of the show!
imagine if Dan interrupted the show every time the topic of food was brought up and got all serious and started talking like this guy. No one would watch that.
After 8 years of being vegan and not being around people eating meat most of the time, I find it pretty traumatising to suddenly be confronted to their immorality.
you probably just missing the key nutrients to think properly, as meat and fat provides the full nutrition, whereas plants are toxic and their nutrients are very little or not bioavailable
@@nicolaspirlet not only poorly available, which actually leads to deficiencies and health issues, the indigestible fibres cause digestive issues, and the plant toxins damage the organs. No wonder many vegans suffer from one or more forms of these. Really really unhealthy. Meat and fat on the other hand, contains everything you need, no need for plants, and almost perfectly digested
My SO went vegan when we started dating and this Christmas we had an all vegan dinner with his family!!! They are stereotypical boomers so this is a big win for me lol they loved it. Setting an example and sharing, educating about veganism is the best way to help people understand.
dont worry the dude who ordered his take out beef definitely wrote in the instructions. "Ethically sourced local meat only bro." Man how people can be so delusional is beyond me.
Our species is so interesting. We have the knowledge today both morally and scientifically to dial in our nutrition perfectly without meat, yet even myself used the same excuses when I was eating meat just so I can prioritize my taste buds. When you really think about it, combined with the gluttonous food eye rolling, moaning, and commercials... it's just not right.
@@bunaynayslay True, but also selfishness to eat whatever is tastier. Greed is right for most cases. I realize since going Vegan that even animal products are in most chapsticks and bars of soap. The cheap stuff is made from animals because they don't have a voice and can exploit them all they want for whatever price. Sad stuff
I remember back in early 2000 when I became vegan, I used to drive by cows on the country side. I would wave at them and make it a point to say, 'Hi ladies, I'm friendly and don't eat your kind'. I didn't think much of it but my partner at the time began reflecting every time I said that. He came up to me one day and said, 'As of today, I'm vegan and your little wave to the cows made me see them as individual beings and not food. Sometimes all you need is to plant a seed in someone's mind to make them think of what they are doing.
Agree wholeheartedly! That is why my posts on two social media pages are important to me. If I have planted the seeds for others to look at animals as individuals and not food, that is a good thing! 💚🌱💚
Thank you very much Ed for all the work you have done for the animals this year! You really make a good point that we have to continue educating people, there is so much ignorance trying to justify their suffering. Let's work for a more vegan 2025!
Perfect analysis, as always. It hurts to see people laughing about cruelty and massacring animals... And doing it in the face of friends that care? Absolutely sociopathic.
Thank you for talking about this. I was really disappointed by the crew, they really showed their true colors during this discussion, they had zero empathy for the animals. I hope Ethan goes vegan, he is still currently eating animals. Please call in to H3 for a debate if possible. #veganfortheanimals #h3 #ethanklein 👏💯☮️🌱
what frightens me most about how people treat """"lesser""""" animals is how confident people are to voice their presuppositions as if theyre facts and not even bother to do any research. we see this in this video - obviously props to the girl for looking it up but if she hadnt the others would have gone on with their day just reinforcing their previously held beliefs without any evidence. for another example i was having an argument with someone about the pain of crustaceans (specifically decapods) and they bring up jellyfish and state very firmly that crustaceans must not feel pain because jellyfish dont feel pain. they did not have any reasoning for this, just vibes. the fact that people are so willing to ignore such an issue when it could have such fundamental impact on everything we do terrifies me.
So cringe to know they are having a conversation about what animals are going through and planning to bring murdered animals onto the podcast as a joke. Have fun with the topic in a less despicable way, h3h3
It's their humor around it that really gets me. How people start to smile and laugh when they compare chickens to dogs etc. They just aren't emotionally mature enough to really take in how horrible and evil things they are talking about, so they have to joke it away. - not realising that makes them 10 times worse. Just like nazis, joking about the holocaust they're causing.
I was out to dinner having Thai food and the man at the table next to me was with a woman he seemed to know but hadn't seen in a while and he said "yeah, I don't eat animals/animal products anymore". My heart sang with joy!
"Compassion for animals is intimately connected with goodness of character and it may be confidently asserted that he who is cruel to animals cannot be a good (hu)man." ~ Arthur Schopenhauer, German Philosopher
I totally agree. Earthlings did it for me. Ethan is on the road and its always hard to talk about to people who don't even realize the road exists yet.
I would suggest the enormity of non-human animal suffering is incomprehensible, it's fathomless, the depth of the pain inflicted on animals is so significant
Oh hell yes! I have been watching H3 for so many years and posted in their subreddit about how i wish there would be a coming together between you two! Sadly i think the timing is a little off because they are on the end of year break for a while and they are less likely to respond to this because when they get back to the show they will probably have a backlog of news events to cover. Hope you get to speak with the crew directly in a discussion at some point!
I’ve also commented this on the subreddit in the past - I’d love Ed to chat with Ethan on the pod I think it could be a really productive conversation!
Oh lord 🙄🤣The stupidity & ability to create problems out of thin air that some communities have will never cease to amaze me. It's a comedy show, it's not serious.
Guy is using electronics with components that were gathered and assembled using child labor, but pretends to be morally better than everyone else. What a hoot.
It would be great if you could share your source of none exploitative electronics, please. But if you really stop and think about it, and are being honest, what relevance does someone purchasing devices once every five to ten years have to do with you supporting industries three times a day that breed, exploit, use, mutilate and kill other sentient, thinking, feeling beings for products you do not need? Absolutely nothing, right? Just because someone may have bought a product that may have had a negative effect on someone else down the line, how does that “justify” your support of needless violence three times a day, especially when you could just consume something else? Whataboutism. Ed is not “pretending” to be morally better than anyone else, he is raising a very relevant and urgent point about a very real atrocity that is being enacted around the world every second. Obviously human exploitation needs to be addressed and we need to be cognizant of what products we purchase, as vegans we know all about that, and yes this is in the broader scope of veganism, but the focus is on ending human exploitation and use of our fellow animals. That is what Ed is concentrating on, as am i, so if you want to have a conversation about what we can all do to make this world better for all sentient beings i am happy to oblige.
I have a pet goldfish fish that was supposed to be food for other animals which I’ve raised for many years. I can tell you he definitely appears to have emotions. He gets very excited when he sees me and knows it’s food time. He also gets spooked sometimes and hides like he’s scared and it can take a while for him to relax, even when it’s food time.
It's even MORE of a betrayal if the animals have a bit "better lives" before slaughter -- they're even more confused and distraught wondering WHY this is being done to them. The animals who live miserable lives 24/7 are too hopeless and beaten down to even wonder any more.
Zack love please can you stay off UA-cam, your father and I are worried about your behaviour just lately. Love you xxx We’ll talk tomorrow over breakfast xxx
I became vegan because of what I saw happening to animals in labs 🥼. I knew a guy who became vegan because he saw cats/dogs eaten in Asia. Do you think ED should show/talk of animals be animals being tortured or or cats dogs being eaten and that way people will make the connection and not eat meat 🥩 in general?
But then people will be scared and need a safe space. We can’t show people reality and truth their heads will explode and plus my ancestors and like food deserts and free range is good right?! 🤪
I hope you don't use any pharmaceuticals...I stopped taking any meds from big pharma.Lost my job because I didn't want to take the covid shot. The pharmaceutical industry is far more diabolical than the animal food industry.
Thank you for being a guiding voice for the Vegan community Ed. I hope you had a successful 2024, and let's all dream bigger about a more Vegan 2025. For the animals!
The ignorant and callous indifference of his 'dumb' friends is the worst thing. I wish people like them could see and feel the suffering they cause to the beautiful animals whose charred remains they shoved into their cruel ugly mouths, those animals wanted to live, just as much as they do. So did the fish dragged from their ocean home, along with the dolphins, turtles and other sea creatures caught up and suffering in those awful trawler nets! 😟 😠
I feel ya. I really had to remember that they are good people, that just have been kinda brainwashed, like I once was. AB and Love with that meat.. It was painful 😞
I do not like the taste or texture of meat or fish I can't really afford to bye it anyway and and quite honestly I have discovered I do not need it so why should I have it.
This is exactly why our species is racing into oblivion. The trend to mock, shock and deliberately ignore the spirituality within us is disgusting. I'm not religious but I do feel we're really all connected somehow and this deliberate cruelty to animals and when someone human shows a soft spot is bad for us all.
You're right. Humans have lost their souls heading for oblivion. Vegan for the voiceless and innocent. The violence is off the scale. Pure Satanic, too evil for words.
Just saying hi to my fellow vegans! I think there was a study that showed aquatic animals might experience higher intensity of pain that we do because their bodies need to be more sensitive to the movements in the water. Even if it wasn't so, to see a creature gasping and twitch should be enough for a human to conclude: "This creature is in pain!" I think I am silly for assuming concluding something like that is a default human thing... If I were to hit something in a bag and that "something" started to bleed, twitch, move around and/or produce noises, it would be enough to stop and give "it" the benefit of a doubt "it" might be a living organism. It is a great insult to humanity that others would rather assume everything else under the sun to continue with the torture rather than just stop.
As a regular watcher of h3 i always found it frustrating how ethan talks about how bad the meat production is, but then is like fuck it lets order some meat
I was an H3 member for 4 years and have recently become a "fallen fan" as ethan would call me. He has brought this up numerous times and continues to push down any logical or compassionate thoughts about animals in order to continue eating meat. I think a big influence is his wife as well as the crew, because there are several crew members that feel the way Zach does about eating animals. If you want to get on the show, contact Olivia or Tom Ward- I believe they are the primary contacts for booking guests. It would at the very least be an interesting conversation.
Proud displays of carnism like that from the crew is such a good example of how people who otherwise have care, compassion and act virtous in other areas turn into something very different when the issue something that is normalised in their own culture.
Having a pet fish growing up is actually the reason i started going vegan. I didn't have any pet cows or pigs so i wasnt able to make the connection between the animals and the meat I was eating until i was eating a fish sandwich and looked into the eyes of our pet fish in the aquarium.
Ethan, I know you're watching this video (and hopefully you read this comment), you are on the right path my friend. Don't let your lovely crew deter you from what is becoming obvious to you, and has been for many others already. Inform yourself further and realize that vegetarianism isn't enough. I hope you will do the right thing my man.
I've been getting really interested in Theory of Mind recently, and learning about the following levels of consciousness/awareness that are optional in humans to achieve. It's really cool to see someone ascending this ladder. Ethan is climbing, and respect to him for it. If the majority of humanity could make it halfway we would already be in for some awesome changes.
Vegan for almost 14 years, and H3 fan- Ethan is a compassionate person, I've felt for so long he just needs to be pointed the right direction, with helpful resources and he can successfully become vegan. Thank you for the video!❤🌱
Exactly my thoughts! I'm a big H3 fan, and I really think Ethan can make the switch, when he truly allows himself to feel his feelings and listen to the logic. He's a good boy - he can do it! 🌿✨
I think part of this is the people who have these ideas are our peers in terms of age and exposure to media and culture. Younger generations should be different. So much of this issue is imperialism and capitalism.... thats why its so annoying not to talk about the politics of animal agriculture. THE COST DOES NOT OUTWEIGH THE BENEFIT FOR THE RICH and until people are politically aligned (communist) it will continue. America is the global power and then China which is just as bad are the influencers so to speak. Life means nothing in the end, who cares if its all black tomorrow, BUT in knowing that you should understand you shouldnt be someone who works to make others suffer and instead works to build community and organize and takes care of everyone.
you don't know Ethan very well, he would have no problem with a respectful criticism like this. He saves those type of insta stories for people who insult or lie about him.
I love how Ethan is realising that what is happening to animals is wrong. Hopefully he will also make the same realisation about circumcision because given what he has said so far, he is pro circumcision.
@MostlyLoveOfMusic mostly I think it's a case of reducing the lines because some have become some sort of defacto standard. My local Sainsburys hasn't reduced the volmlune of stuff but has dropped a few companies, or at least sometimes it's down to the size and location of the store.

@@viktorgoa"Mostly indigestible" lmao

The mental illness in you…..You regret fishing……Wow…..🤔
There's a great book about fish called "What a Fish Knows" by the biologist Jonathan Balcombe.
I used to love fishing.. but I always had an uneasy feeling about it. Now I know that feeling was my conscience.

Their idiotic braying laughter when he talks about how torture and death makes him uncomfortable is gross and psychopathic. But horribly all too familiar.
Probably a coping mechanism. Easier to downplay the act of consuming animals than accept the realities of it.
@FilzupBilburp Agree. Laugh away the cognitive dissonance.
Ethan Klein & company continue to defend and justify the torture, murder, and genocide of innocent Palestinians. He doesn't even care about other humans, so why would you expect him to care about animals?

It's probably not about the concept of friendship but an assertion of dominance, the message they are conveying is that the argument is not relevant. If he thinks they are going to "obey" him then they are showing him that's not the case
(It happened something similar to me the first time I mentioned I was a vegan to my closer friends, they immediately responded "You can do that, and we'll still buy this delicious X and Y dish") also it's related that since they are closer and sometimes make heavy/dark jokes, this can be considered as that type of context (even if for other people it doesn't makes sense or it's disrespectful (which it is))
That's an oversimplification of how relationships work. It can be explained to them that what they're doing is hurtful. The test of friendship comes in their response to that explanation.
As a vegan who has watched every episode of the H3 podcast, I'm SO happy that you made this video. I love watching the crew all day, every day, but my heart was hurting when I saw this exact part of the podcast. what frightens me most about how people treat """"lesser""""" animals is how confident people are to voice their presuppositions as if theyre facts and not even bother to do any research. we see this in this video - obviously props to the girl for looking it up but if she hadnt the others would have gone on with their day just reinforcing their previously held beliefs without any evidence. for another example i was having an argument with someone about the pain of crustaceans (specifically decapods) and they bring up jellyfish and state very firmly that crustaceans must not feel pain because jellyfish dont feel pain. they did not have any reasoning for this, just vibes. the fact that people are so willing to ignore such an issue when it could have such fundamental impact on everything we do terrifies me.
People who really don't care manage to ignore animals who live in water because they are so different to us and they don't see them alive very often.
Dan is a really, really annoying vegetarian.

Theyve been getting worse and worse for the past year and a bit.
That is because we vegans are becoming more and more visible and that's a confrontation to their lifestyle.

Most fish are smarter than these guys.
"Probably categorized as a comedy podcast". Ed, the king of throwing diplomatic shade xD
Thank you Ed. For always bringing these issues and ignorant ‘influencers’ to light and speaking the truth.

Just saying hi to my fellow vegans! I think there was a study that showed aquatic animals might experience higher intensity of pain that we do because their bodies need to be more sensitive to the movements in the water. Even if it wasn't so, to see a creature gasping and twitch should be enough for a human to conclude: "This creature is in pain!"
I think I am silly for assuming concluding something like that is a default human thing...

I think part of this is the people who have these ideas are our peers in terms of age and exposure to media and culture. Younger generations should be different.
So much of this issue is imperialism and capitalism.... thats why its so annoying not to talk about the politics of animal agriculture.
