I don't like Hoffman and he is the weak link in this movie. DiNero, who is even more a pompous ass nowadays than the Stanley character, he is great. Hoffman, I didn't believe for a minute and thought he couldn't handle the comedy at all. Note that the comedy was fairly stupid except when they were talking about things that later "came true". It's hysterical that people comment that "Stanley" is Stanley Kubrick and his last scene = Kubrick having a heart attack after filming Eyes Wide Shut, and I think maybe they get the "fake Moon Landing" and The Shining in there, too. LOL, LOL, LOL
