I believe i had a world class car audio system designed for car audio competition (sound quality) i designed and installed this system many years ago, but i think it would still be hard to improve on even today. It had a huge soundstage with vocals dead centre out on the front of the hood. It started with an optima battery 4 ×50 amp accuvolts 14 volt regulated power supplies, 1 powering a Phoenix Gold ZX 450 four channel amp with a half farrad stiffening cap at the amp, driving front Boston Pro series 6.5inch mid bass drivers, and Alpine DD drive tweeters driven actively angled up and crossfiring through the amps 24db per Octave slope crossovers and a Alpine 4×6 coaxial centre channel with an L pad running bridged mono bandpass from the mid bass channels playing very quietly to broaden centre image. 2nd accuvollt powering a PG ZX 250 with half farad stiffening cap just before amp running bandpass to top of range pioneer 6×9s for rear fill, 3rd accuvolt powering two PG ZX 350s each bridged mono with a 1 farad stiffening cap before amps into 2 × JBL pro series 12 inch subs and 4th accuvolt powering Alpine 7939 top of range head unit and Alpine 609 tor CD changer, Alpine PXA H600 Digital phase processor with time alignment, crossover, and parametric EQ and microphone for auto set-up for front splits and rear fill, Alpine 3402 analog parametric EQ solely for subwoofers and all PG power cabling, interconnects, fuses, distribution blocks This system rivalled expensive home audio so understand your enthusiasm for DSP

This Saturday June 27th, I will go to the best audio store in Maryland (Gramophone). I this episode I quickly take a look at Sonos speakers, small bookshelf speaker and a few mid sizes. For my system I chose the MiniDSP with DIRAC LIVE tuning .... Maybe if I spent hundreds of dollars paying someone else to tune my system it would sound better HOWEVER ..... I can say very confidently that DIRAC LIVE is everything they say it is ... if you want professional level SQ without paying someone else big $$$ its the way to go READ the info before you decide .... I did have some home theater experience with DIRAC before my MiniDSP so I wasn't totally green going in ... that said the sound stage and coherence of my setup is off the chain on a daily driver ..... with all due respect to Misconi ..it's a respectable product ...but if you are not an advanced tuner .. noooo
@rts100x5 - Hello, it's always good to hear from someone who appreciates great sounding audio. You have hits some key point on which I have no arguments. The old saying is "beauty is in the eye of the beholder!" I say "Great audio gear pleases the ear!" I looked at the DIRAC LIVE at first, but when I do something, I go all out. Just search my channel for my remake of bedroom bath and our awesome garage flooring. On face value regarding the audio, I did spend a few bucks, but I also saved hundreds on not updating my rear speakers. Nine years into the car, I am pushing stock speakers! For me it was all about the front speakers staging and performance. I am not an advance tuner - the guy in the video has retuned my system twice in 9 years, with the last (when the video was done), he charged me nothing! I know your system sounds great, I can tell by your enthusiasm! If you get a chance - subscribe to my channel. Help a retired vet out. By the way, for the next two weeks - my love of audio began with my car and will move into the home of plug in, bookshelf and small speakers. The last episode is really nice as well! Peace!
