I TOTALLY forgot Chanel Coromandel which was sitting right next to me!! COROMANDEL is the 15th one. This is what happens when you are over worked and tired.
Love the way you use your words ! Really interesting ~ I can rarely get past a few minutes of other reviewers but yours I can sit through the whole vid !
What a lot! I knew Samsara would be in there, and was expecting it to take the number one ribbon. Beautiful fragrance. I keep my vintage Samsara in a dark dark cupboard, only bringing it out on very special occassions in Autumn and winter. So luscious. :)
I REALLY envy you for your vintage bottles of Samsara! I remember well when it was launched in 1989. I was instantly obsessed with its smell. The original formula contained a huge amount of real sandalwood which was quite cheap at that time but due to the exploitation of those resources it was necessary to reformulate and use equivalents and synthetics as a replacement. The Samsara of today is just a faint shadow of what it once was. So cherish your treasures!! ♥️😀
great list. I'm not that far into my journey, but some grails for me atm are Jubilation XXV, Reflection Man, Portrait Of A Lady, Maremma (that I own) & Korrigan, Oud Satin Mood, Bal D'Afrique, Noir de Noir (that I don't own).

I love Camel by zoologist in fact I love quite a few of Their scents I think I have the same taste as you in perfumes even though most on your list I have never tried but I know I'd love aswell ✨
L’air Du Desert Morocain & Moth (a love at first sniff for me) are in my favorite fragrance arsenal!... Looking forward to checking out your other holy grail perfumes! I’ve had my eye on Portrait of a Lady and am ashamed that I haven’t tried it yet...Sounds right up my alley! I’m looking to dip my toes into Tubereuse... I only own Madonna’s “Truth Or Dare” (and I like it! ~by a fellow Detroit girl). What fragrance would you recommend for me to try next? I don’t know if I’d be “woman” enough for Fracas, ha ha!
Love your way of describing fragrances. Can you do a review where you'll describe fragrances raw materials: I have no clue on what Néroli or Tubéreuse or Ambroxan or Magnolia or freesia smells!!! The only sent I know now is Patchouli cause a reviewer compare it to red wine or very ripe fruits and it was helpful. Now I recognize Patchouli when I smell it. Can you do a review on that like the one you did on sandalwood? It will be very interesting and helpful.
Thank you! That is a god idea but trying to explain what a single note smells like is very difficult. I can say as much as I know but you need to smell it yourself. I try to touch in each video about how things smell but you will never know until you smell it yourself. Maybe I could do a video about "recognizing certain notes" in perfume, but it's one of the most difficult things to put into words.
Portrait of a Lady 😍 I won't ever be able to afford it, but oh how I want it 😍 I bought a discounted bottle of Stella the other day, oh my how it has changed, yeah, gotta let it go...
I have two bottles of Samsara. I have the burgundy bottle and the crystal bottle 1.7 oz. That fragrance when I started collecting in the last couple of years opened up a whole world of other perfumes. I bought a good book lately by the name of Perfume by Neil Chapman that is very interesting to read about perfumes. I enjoyed watching this video of your favorite perfumes.
Wow. When you were talking about letting go of reformulated perfumes that don't match the original I was thinking Stella and then you said Stella. so cool! little coincidences like that make me think i'm following the right perfume page for me. In other words I am more likely to not be disappointed by your suggestions. I have a question maybe you can shed light on for me.. why do they reformulate when people love the original more? or maybe that's just my perception because of my obvious bias..? also... i love patchouli so much but not the straight dirty hippie kind. Mixed in fragrances is so delectable to my nose. I will definitely try the TF you love. Thank you for being you!
@@ouch110 I envy your exposure to perfumes and the perfume world. that must be a lovely environment. Great channel again. And I swear, the Perfume Pretty Barbie from the 80s (yes, I'm 40) had a perfume bottle that smelled like the original Stella scent. My nose don't lie, bro! (although I too have my olfactory blindspots, I can't smell passion fruit. to me it smells like play-doh) They smell exactly the same if my memory serves correct! I've seen them on Ebay. One day I'm gonna bite the bullet and get it. I loved The original Stella so much. But there are so many scents out there whose beauty we have yet to explore. You're absolutely right.
Such a delightful selection! I'm wondering if you've ever tried Champaca Absolute by Tom Ford, considering your appreciation for champaca and oriental notes. Thomas or anyone else who had tried it, what'd'you think?
I haven't tried that one! I would be very interested to though. I wonder if he uses real champaca? I have smelled the real thing and the representation is Mandarava by Prissana. It's a very expensive material. It smells like dirty rich golden tea, it's amazing.
I would love to buy Moth by Zoologist, but it costs around DKK 2,200...soo, I will have to wait a couple of days to save up - or get it for Valentine's Day, which we don't celebrate. I will try to see if it is possible to buy a sample online, but with the taxes and duties imposed on goods getting into Denmark, I will have to get it from an EU country....
