So good track! I still have this track, actually converted this to wav and played this song in my DJ-set at the borderlandfestival last this past summer!
I still run an evolution of this tracker on my main rig. Actually several. Milkytracker, Skaletracker, and Sunvox. Awesome trackers keeping that 90's artcore movement going. Love it, thanks for sharing dude!
Woah, this sounds amazing in my headphones!! I have been looking for a "game" we used to have on a floppy in the 90's and you could compose songs like this. To my recollection it was called 'Sound' but I can't find it back. I wish I knee what it was like again, it had such an awesome version of the song Popcorn on it.
Ah man, I had created a similar song back in the day with FT2. Had ripped most instruments from CDs I had and made a song I wish I kept over the years.
@@rumling81 They're all about equal now. The only drive I've ever had die on me was 6TB Western Digital I bought a couple of years ago (no data lost), so thank goodness it's more affordable than ever to keep more backup copies. (Seagate, Western Digital, and Toshiba are the only people who actually make 3.5" rotating drives anymore. Everyone else is just a rebrand of one of them. I don't have a Toshiba yet, but I've got nightly backups across a Seagate and two Western Digitals of different sizes, and I try to put truly irrepleaceable stuff up somewhere like GitHub ASAP.)
XnazxulX yes there is also a clone version, but I recommend the one for ms dos. If your interested I can get you the link where to download FT for dos?
Hi there. I think you can help me. In 90's I had a soft that plays mod music (seems like yours). And the player plays files like video music - low resolution - in MSDOS- Im trying to find this since 2000.. but I dont remember the name. We load files in prompt command like, example: soft_name.exe (space) file.mod or video_clip.extesion
@@FoxMulder78 I dont know because I was 14 years old. I remember that I started a dos player and opnened a raw video clip.... low quality. I tried to search this player or format of file since 1996. Video showed people dancing like a rave party.....
@@Dosgamert I didn't find it. I really want to find because it's my beginning of computing. Back in 1996's... I remember to typo C:\> name_player.exe SPACEBAR name_of_file.extesion (I didn't remeber extesion). After opened a full motion movie (low quality) with sound... kind of people dacing like a rave's party. Music sounds like a real music mixed with synthetized (like SEGA Mega Drive 16 Bit sound). If I remember or discover extension of "movies".. I think I can find. Came until me by recorded CD from Russia
I love this stuff so much! Thank you for posting. Does anyone have any info on how to run this or similar sounding software on modern computers? I've tried to emulate it for years but I'd love to recreate it fully with these amazing tones. I've got Native Instruments and Reason and Cubase and all I want is to make records that sound like this..
I remember spending so much time with FT2 when I was a youngster. Those truly were the days
This song brings back so much memory. I remember it clearly from the 90s when I started out with FastTracker 2. 😄
FT 2 was my first experience with electronic music. Back in high school, of course. Look how far we’ve come! It’s very weird seeing a DOS prompt
This is how I got into music production and eventually learning FL studio when it was still FruityLoops.

Ultimate Soundtracker?
Trivia from me: This music has been added to two softwares: "ModPlug Player" and "ModPlug Tracker" by Olivier Lapicque as a sample music file.
The old Modplug Player has the best sounding bass boost effect.
This is one of the best demo files in mod plug still today ... sadly its not packed any more with mod plug
Mod plugin for winamp😮😢
This stuff is amazing!

Omg, although I’ve never used MSDOS but this video make me sad cuz I miss my childhood with Windows98 and happy everyday.
this is classic software for sure
for some reason I expected the vocal "mmmmMMMooortal Kombat!" lol
Fuck still one of the best FT sounds out there :)
