Did way better than most Americans. I, v etc are Roman numerals. Like in film sequels, if a king or queen did a good job we reused the name, so had to differentiate between them. So I is 1 or “the first”, ii is 2 or second, iii is three or the third. Here’s where it gets harder, so you don’t end up with huge strings of “I”s five uses the letter V. Putting an I before it means take one away; and an I after it means add one to. So 4 is IV, one off five. The system carries on so v(5), vi(6), vii(7) and viii (8). 10 gets a new letter, X, so 9 is IX. But the highest one for English monarchs is viii (the eighth ) for Henry and Edward. Charles is the Prince of Wales, the eldest son of the monarch, that title is always held by the first in line to the throne. Anne is the Queens Daughter. The War of 1812 was the one where the British burnt the White House. Great tip on All of The Above option though.

Roman Numerals: The standardised way of numbers in the roman empire: I = 1 II=2 III=3 IV = 4 V=5. Any lower number denomination BEFORE a higher number has to be subtracted from the higher number. I.E. IV = 4, I = 1, V = 5, So IV = 1 - 5 = 4. X=10. IX = 9 etc. Thames is said as Tems or T-aims. King Richard III (The Third) was exhumed from under a parking lot in Leicester City, England. When Shakespeare wrote his play about Richard the 3rd , he portrayed Richard as having a crooked back ( hunchbacked ) . Before his remains were discovered I attended a lecture given by the Richard the 3rd Society . They made a big point about this saying no way had he a crooked back , it was all a slurr . When his remains were discovered , guess what ? He had a crooked spine which means he had a crooked back 🤔 Love your videos 👍🇬🇧❤️

King Richard died in battle, his killers dumped his body in a quickly made grave, centuries of soil built up on top of that, we eventually built a parking lot in that area. No one knew where King Richard was buried, which is why he is known as "the lost king of England", a group of historians did some research and got permission to unearth specific locations and found his bones, it was so close that if they started their trench just 50cm in any direction, they would've missed it entirely.

    Hi
On the restroom question, the answer could be both 'loo' and 'outhouse', although an 'outhouse' may no always be a restroom.
We have a lot of names for Restroom, : WC, loo, toilet, men's, ladies', little boys room, little girls room, necessarium, outhouse, Lav, latrine, lavatory, bog, powder room (rare and not to be confused with ammo store) , there are probably some more.
Thames is pronounced 'Temes' , similar to the candy M&Ms.
Prince Charles is Elizabeth II eldest son, Prince William is his eldest son and so next in line after Charles.
On washing eggs: Your farms wash the eggs, which removes a protective layer, his means you need to store he in a fridge, UK and most of Europe don't, which means they don't need to be kept refridgerated .
The remains of Richard III were found buried under a parking lot, it had been built after his death.
On the 'What country/counties make up the UK, Britain is not a country, so 'all of the above' is wrong 'Britain' is short for Great Britain and is he Island which contains Scotland, England and Wales.

Hence why the USA teaches that they won the war of 1812, mainly because they did have several big sea victories, not because their fledgling navy was better... But because the Royal navy was otherwise occupied with napoleon and underestimated the American navy only sending a tiny force to go sort out "the skuffle in the colonies"
In reality neither side can truly be said to have won the war of 1812. It just kind of fizzled out. The Americans didn't achieve their goals, and the British had better things to do than actively perusing them.
