  • The plaintiff says she was swindled by the defendant after she bought a car from him that ended up being no good. Now she’s suing the defendant for the cost of the car. The defendant argues that the plaintiff test drove the car and had it looked at prior to bringing it into her personal mechanic. She just didn’t want the car anymore, so he shouldn’t have to pay her back.

Zero evidence of any plants. More likely, it was the fact that the car was priced too low to be true that got people to come up. The plaintiff was taken in by the sense of urgency because she didn't want a "great deal" to slip through her hands. The defendant didn't even con her about the mechanic---he straight up told her this is a guy he knows. She had all the info in her hands to realize this was a bad idea---she just decided to ignore all of that to get the deal.

Do these people ever watch court shows? As-Is sales are hard to prove. This plaintiff was just dumb. If it’s too good to be true then it usually is.

If a guy claims to be a mechanic but works at Autozone run because he is most likely a shade tree shady mechanic. A good mechanic will make enough money to where he doesn’t have to work at a parts store unless he managing

Never buy a car with your heart, buy it with your head. Don't rush to buy a car so fast check it out first. There's a reason the owner is getting rid of the car! Every now and then you could get a gem. But still do a Car history report using the vin number to see if it was in any accidents etc. I had my share of buying used cars, I went through heck and back. I have a peace of mind now, I lease cars. Have a nice day everyone.

Why do people always play dumb after the fact well I knew it didn't sound smart but I didn't anyway because he suggested it.... I myself have been the idiot that bought a car without getting it checked and said car was a piece of crap but it's now my piece of crap... At the end of the day it's on me and only me

any mechanic worth their salt should be honest with the person who is looking to buy...it shouldn't matter if it's hers, his, some random one
on another note though I don't trust mechanics period (most of them think you know nothing about a car and will use that to say it needs a whole bunch of expensive crap~ I think that "As Is" law really needs updated
