- The plaintiff bought a car from the defendant’s used car dealership. She claims it was a lemon and undrivable, so she’s suing for a refund. The defendant argues he gave the plaintiff a 30-day warranty to return the car, but she waited too long.
I will never understand how you don't bring the paperwork of any kind to a court case.
Cause we should know they are telling the truth! 😂

The plaintiff is so entitled and the defendant is grossly unprepared for court. The plaintiff has to realize that she bought the car "as is". She is lucky that she had the 30 day warranty.
After they got the paper work, did you see the Judge ask her if she knew it was a 30 day and she said YES. What a lying brat!

The judge was confirming that she had been shown the new evidence and they were all on the same page. Now I do think there was a good chance she was lying earlier when nobody had paperwork and she told the judge the defendant told her she had 90-days. That was my take on the whole exchange anyway.

At the end when plaintiff said she didn’t get a chance to speak when she lied out the gate saying she had a 3 month warranty when it was really 1 month as she didn’t bring the full receipt which I’m sure she had 💁🏻♀️
Her expression at the 11:00 minute mark, when told she knew not to drive it anymore yet she continued to, says it all. She ruined the car by driving it and was posted because she wasn’t getting the repair for free, so now the whole thing is someone else’s fault.

Well I have been driving around in a used 2006 Suzuku Grand Vitara since 2018 and it is a great vehicle. However I have a brother who is a car expert and knows how to pick 'em lol. But i also know that if it breaks down it is my problem lol

This must be the defendant's first business with him not knowing he should keep a record of the transaction when a vehicle he sells comes in for repair within the warranty time. Hopefully, he will now, though.

It was actually a really good car, the transmission had gone out and the previous owner didn't want to spend the money to fix it so he sold it to the shop who fixed it up and resold it. The previous owner kept it in really good shape. Test driving it we discovered a problem with some sensor thing, but they determined that it was just stuck or something and said to bring it back if it reoccurred. It never did. And then there was a problem with the vent system. They honored the warranty and fixed that issue for me for free. I had that car for years and it was only towards the end of its life that real issues cropped up such as my ignition switch going bad (I got THAT fixed right before the Pandemic Lockdowns went into effect!!!) and I went to them every time to fix it. They always gave me a good deal and, a few times, one of the mechanics did the job for free if it wasn't something terribly major because he was just that nice. Last year I lost that car, not because of a breakdown, but because someone rear-ended me on the highway and damaged it beyond repair.
I'm confused by the plaintiff saying she now has a repo on her record. The judge asked her about the location of the car and her response was the car was parked in her friend's yard.
She must mean she’s gonna stop making payments.

PS - Save some of that tatt money for a better car that you do proper research into before making a purchase instead of sinking it into your skin.

You do a repair n reset check engine light...it takes about 25 miles for the check egine light to come back on...

Even if you have a small business, especially dealing with automobiles, you need to document everything.He gave her a thirty day warranty, and she thinks she's entitled to get neverending repairs. He was in the right, but he needs to be more focused on keeping records.

Ahh the old Cam Shaft Position Sensor. I´ve purchased and replaced several. Cheap repair but expensive damage if you dont replace it.

It's a Volkswagen so more than likely that code was timing chain related from the beginning which is a common problem on most of their vehicles and she would have known that if she did a 10 second Google search before buying it - I always avoid VW's.

Pleasure boats , like ski boats, larger sailing boats, even personal watercraft, all costs money to maintain ( no one wants to be stuck in the middle of a body of water) and most who own them don’t have mechanical ability to repair them , so costs are high to maintain them ! The same can be said about owning a horse !

What is wrong with these people? It's probably a 10+ year old clapped out Benz with 200k miles on it that's worth a couple grand. She's expecting it to run like a Toyota and this guy foot the bill for every repair.

If this is a USED CAR, then even WITH a 30 day warranty on the car, you should so your due diligence and take the car for a test drive, do a car facts check on the car to see its history and the status of the title and MOST IMPORTANTLY, take the car to YOUR trusted mechanic and get them to look the car over and see if its sound or if there's underlying issues that would make it a lemon. I didn't hear her say she did any of that. She just bought the car and IMMEDIATELY started having problems. This has happened to me before. Problem is, most used cars are considered an "as is" sale....and the owner of the car lot is just looking to make money. But seriously....she's not fixing the car over $50?

The cam issue was related to the timing jumping. The 2.0T that is in that car is notorious for that issue. She should have brought a mechanic as a witness to say this
A simple Google search would have shown her to avoid pretty much all used Volkswagen vehicles - I wouldn't gamble on a used VW unless it was scrap price.
Doesn't really matter. If it jumped time and bent valves outside of the 30 days, she is out of luck.

The plaintiff must think she was buying a brand new car. She was lucky he fixed anything on the car once she signed the paperwork. I agree with the defendant; people get so excited to buy foreign cars but the up keep on a foreign car is very expensive! You can’t expect the car dealership to keep fixing for free just because you are still paying on it. That’s not how that works.
Dont matter if he lied!! No one should EVER buy a car from a "buy here pay here" deal. All them side street dealers make sure BEFORE they get a junker on there lot that there is NO CAR FAX report. They take all the cars that have been in accidents but not reported and just dress them up to make them last 6 months then after that your on your own so good luck
