- Here's some things to think about before visiting to Las Vegas....
Have you ever thought about visiting in Las Vegas? Or even actually moving and living there? Las Vegas gets so many tourists every single year, so here's a few Pros and Cons you should know about first before making your trip. I am a Las Vegas UA-camr and I have lived here for almost 20 years. I am constantly on the Las Vegas Strip so I experience many hard aches that tourists go thru as well . And boy have I learned a lot! That's why I'm here to help you and teach you as much as I can before you land in Sin City. We're to be talking about traffic, crowds, the heat, food costs, tourist traps, and so much more. Hope you enjoy!

Norma has the cutest giggles and smile!!
We took our son to Vegas when they were promoting it as a "family" vacation. This was about 25 years ago. We did the Hoover Dam tour and went to see the "O" show at the Bellagio. We visited the M and M store and the Coca Cola tour. We gave him tons of quarters to play video games and saw a comedy show that was family friendly. We had fun!
Thanks so much for sharing that story! You have my utmost envy as I have never had a family vacation.
Of course the biggest pro is Vegas has Norma.
There's a word that a friend of mine made up for people who walk reeeeealllllly sloooooow and block aisles and doorways: meanderthals. Brilliant!
I'm so in love with that pizza slice!!!
I loved your point about renting a car in Vegas. With the traffic and other available options to get around (cabs, Ubers, the Deuce, Monorail and free trams) and the cost associated with parking your car, if you're staying 5-7 days I wouldn't rent one for the whole week. What I do is I rent a car for two days so I can drive around and see things further away from the Strip. AND I DON'T RENT IT FROM THE AIRPORT! At Treasure Island, they have 2 car rental places (Hertz and Dollar I believe). It's conveniently located in Center Strip, so it's easy to pick the car up and drop it off with very little hassle. Just book it ahead of time when you book your trip. Paying for car rental and parking fees for several days gets very expensive.
The Pros for me in Vegas are 1) Great shows and Entertainment. 2) People-watching. 3) Spectacular views and amazing buildings/sculptures. 4) The Weather. I live in New England. There's a four-letter word we say a lot. Snow. The biggest CON I have in Vegas ... GOING HOME! Sad that my Vegas Vacation is over! And yes, Norma, you turned out just fine! Everyone loves your style. And who doesn't get a kick out of your bloopers!
3:30 ❤ that shirt
Hi Norma, great video. There are so many more pros on visiting Las Vegas than cons, in my opinion. That's why I am always there. Thanks for the wonderful tips and advice, which is always helpful. Don't look at it.
That slice of pizza 🍕 looked so delicious 😋 Norma !
Very interesting vlog of the pros and cons of las vegas! Thanks for sharing beautiful lady😘😘😘xox
Been twice alone loved it hope to return one day.
Another entertaining and informative video wrapped up in a perfect package. Or is that by a perfect package? 🦋😁 Seeing you makes my head spin and my heart ach-e (in a good way). Happy to be sharing this perfectly round shaped planet with you.♥️
Also, don't wear boots when walking the strip because it might be painful for your big toe!😣 I can understand wanting to get away to an island or remote cabin in nature to totally decompress. What's nice about Vegas is you can have a wild party vacation or one of total peace and relaxation depending on how you plan it.
I come to vegas at least 5 times a yr for the last 15 yrs.. You are so right and on the Dot with EVERYTHING on this video! This is why I love watching you. ❤
Wish I could go that often! I'm jealous! Usually it's just once a year at most for me. Although last year was great - I went in both September (alone) and in October (with friends).
great video! was there only a few weeks ago already miss how awesome it is!
Love that shirt! Another great vid!
PRO: I could run into Norma Geli Filming or Live Streaming if I visit Vegas!
Awesome job Norma and los Vegas is perfect travel vacation for me and have great Friday
Such a fun video! Vegas is always so exciting, and you made even the cons sound like pros. With all the con-struction happening on the Strip, you would think Vegas would get a bad wrap, but pro-bably not. Great job Norma! 🌠
Brenda is definitely a Rockstar, number one Norma supporter I do believe....
It's a new image .
of casual or formal a atire
Las Vegas will advertise itself, with a new concept of nightlife
It won't have the spring break image of
floozy, hangover young tourists on a mission of self destruction to get wrecked
Those day
are gone or fading
The prospect is that an evening sun dress or tie will become the new image of these changes.
It's not unlike trying to erase a criminal history
The idea, of sin city as a moniker
has to go. ...away!!
and it will in time
You have to ask yourself when it comes to F1 is the juice worth the squeeze🤔
I wonder which will bring the most dollars into the city: F1 or the Super Bowl? So many changes and annoyances getting ready for F1, especially compared to prep for the SB, which is minimal.
Norma, you got real competition, Babealabe is now living in town and making videos. Up your game.
Not sure what the code word is this week. Regardless, this is a pretty accurate assessment of tourism in Las Vegas. Just remember--there is NO perfect tourist attraction. Every city and every destination has its drawbacks. I had a great time when I visited Vegas about a year-and-a-half ago, and would go again in a heartbeat. Keep up the great work Norma!! You're awesome!!❤
I'm a simple man your smile and dimples are so cute ❤
Good timing for this video for me. I've been to LV twice for business and came away...not hating the city, but realizing it's not for me. But now I will be going back in a couple of months (for the U2 residency at the Sphere) and I've started researching the trip which led me to your channel. So I do appreciate all your videos, and I think I've been able to find some things to do there without being angry about it :D Thank you Norma!
I appreciate you and thank you for making content.
I just got back, didn't see you anywhere . Did find Dianaevoni and gamed with her. SUPER LADY !!! Will be back in Dec. hope to see you.
I agree with most, if not all, of your points. Thanks for the reminders.
Thanks Norma! Great content and information. That being said. Vegas is the place to be!!!!!!!!!!! Lol Always a good time!
Genuinely love her ❤
Love your videos! Can't wait to head back to LV in October! 😊
Great video Norma thank you. Big fan from Indiana
Ellis Island Pizza 🍕. 2 for 1 slices on Thursday and 2 for 1 Large pizza on Sunday 🔥
Your videos are always worth watching Norma..
This is such an amazing video Nora I absolutely loveee all of your videos!!!😊💖💖
Pro: a chance to run in & meet Norma Geli ❤
I remember the bike patrol on the strip. Pretty. Cool. They buzz around like a swarm of bees. Police. Thumbs up.
People watching is the best fun
I love LV & really enjoyed a full week this September! I, too, like Ellis Island, but not for the pizza. Upgrade to the Prime Rib Special! And, yes, people walking slow or STOPPING in the middle of a busy, moving walkway is IRRITATING!!
I always said if I won the powerball I'd definitely have a home in Vegas. There's so much I want to see and never enough time to get it done. Even a week seems like isn't enough. But I want to see all the things. Great video as always. Another Virtual visit for me. Just gotta win that jackpot and I'll he ready to rock with some Chocolate milk and some good breakfast tacos. But I'll be having my birthday on the 4th next week. Hopefully a cool video next Friday for my virtual adventures haha. Have a great weekend. Thanks for always having cool adventures.
Another great video, Norma!!
I remember when parking was free everywhere. Resort fees are a scam. Vegas is me giant mall.
Another wonderful video from Norma .
Nice video. One thing to consider on resort fees: they rarely exceed $40 a day, but many very nice properties are very low priced in mid week. I always stay Sunday to Friday and I typically only pay $300 to $400 for 5 nights at nice properties, and that's inclusive of all resort fees and taxes. That's like $60 to $80 a night, you can't stay at Best Western for that cheap and I am staying at nice strip properties. Granted the low prices are partially due to being comped a few room nights. But I am not a huge gambler but I use my loyalty card religiously in the slot machines and always get decent room night comps. So the resort fees are not really that bad when you consider the total cost with easily earned comps.
great video!
Thanks Norma 😊
Thanks for great info, my friend Norma
Always on top of things, so beautiful, keep up great job....hanging with Norma what could be better....😏
Norma, can you do a what to do for thanksgiving video?
first time visiting the your channel... had to do a double take when i saw ana xD
Hey norma , fancy doing a vlog next Thursday once we are over there from Ireland , show me and my wife to be around 😊😊
I gave up on Vegas years ago. It's bad enough they charge "resort fees", but charging to park, made it easy.
Your so lucky you live in Vegas❤🎉😊😊
Hi al i visited Las Vegas last November and if I can recommend pizza, it would be Bonanno's in the Venetian hotel, so good we went back twice.
From Canada. Viva Las Vegas in 8 days at the NY NY. ✈🌃🗽🍺🍸
Hi Norma! I only see and do things in Vegas that are Norma approved. 🙂
Love going to ellis Island for their BBQ
Don't do it and Don't look at it! 😂
Thanks for all the great info Norma ✌
Great Content NG!!!!
I have in the past complained about resort fees, but only when there has been real issues. Every time the staff has been happy to take them off.
Again, another well done video!!!👍 your small bits of info was very concise & informative. Great basic info for 1st timers or rookies!! Nice “Karen” impression!!!😂 And you’re probably the only person that can look marvelous even with a tiny pimple!!!👍👍👍
Tell us about the trail rides that you can get outside of Vegas something to do amazing like that I’ve done in the past and the place I did it is now closed
Have not been there for 10 years. Lived there over 30 years. Remembered get there mid week and leave asap. Sunday.
Been to LV seven times, and each trip was checking in on Sunday and checking out on Friday (5 night stay).
The Sphere just posted their parking fee. 100.00 and 125.00 to park for a concert. Will be watching it from afar because no one is that important for me to see to pay for parking
We were there in August and I am so ready to come back. We had a blast. We did a lot of walking but a friend that lives there rode us around. Thanks for sharing.
I don't always watch the ads but when I do is because I'm watching Norma
Pros & pros 🎉
One thing that other nations are so much better than the US is that they tell you what you will actually pay. Taxes, fees, and tips are already included in the total cost. It's ridiculous when they tell you that something costs $20 when your final payment is $200.
Pro, you get to do all the cool things Norma recommends, n that's a wrap 😆
Many more pros than cons, depending on what city you’re moving in from. You’re right, its not for everyone.-We have yourself, and the best representatives of this city who do great video, and blogs.
Took my ma to go see Beatles Love as her moving away present and whilst I LOVE Vegas and would live there if I could my ma said it was one big commercial...
Love it Norma! Yeah I don't get into the drinking and gambling, alcohol is nasty to me and I don't have a lot of money to gamble lol. But there's a lot of other stuff in Vegas, I went there for concerts. I heard Lady Gaga is coming back to do Jazz and Piano acoustic again, I flew out for that last time she did it and I loved it.
How about a 24 hr video for Circus Circus 🙂One thing I want to try in Vegas that I haven't yet is the Adventuredome there at Circus Circus. But that Pollo Loco coaster looks a little dangerous, only leg restraints, and you go upside down? 😲
btw I always say it as "places to go, things to see and people to do" lmao. 🙂
My con is when im walking slow and stopping, people behind me act irritated.
7:23 I don't think I've ever gone to a casino without AC
I usually take a day to walk around on my own. So I can check out specific casinos at my pace. I always have fun when I go. But this need to bring in more venues and more events (F1) just makes it hard to enjoy. These days we spend more time off strip.
Vegas Con: Starbucks Wrap 🤮😄
The 1st time i heard of & paid a resort fee was when I stayed at GVR, but at the time it included free shuttle to & from the airport, a news paper every morning, polish your shoes & pressing you suit or dress. I don't think it's the same & if it is, I know it's gone up since.
.
Hi Norma, I just came to your channel and you uploaded. Hey girl I live in Las Vegas and I’ve been here for decades. I don’t feel like there’s anything iconic left that have family coming to town at want to do the iconic Vegas things. I’m not doing the tourist strip, but one or two attractions there’s just nothing left in my eyes except for maybe a good show and a good meal do you have any other recommendations besides all the wonderful food videos you have I think I’m just so over it
Went during mid September ( a day after the flood) and it was tough to drive anywhere in town because of the construction. I also wonder if they will ever fix the escalators on the
Strip?? I’ve watched all your videos and your advice REALLY helped! Thank you!
I kind like the floods; totally different environment for sure. Smoke bothers me so that is a big con and the hawkers trying to hand you brochures. Plus, there is nowhere to sit inside or out (unless you gamble).
Norma stay lookin good 🤓
Hi Norma My daughter is getting married at the bone yard in September 2025 and I will be visiting Vegas for the first time. I live in the the north of the UK so we don't get hot weather much. Also every video seems to be expensive and you need to be a millionaire to go there. Which mid priced hotel would you recommend please. P.S. the Videos a great. Oh and I'm over 60 years old
Hey, when are you gonna eat a burger with Every Burger in Vegas channel?
Here's another con: Lydia pouring beer on my shoes. (That was our Lydia, right?)
NORMA!!!!!!!!!❤ty
i miss vegas =(
I drank beer I bought at Walgreens on Fremont Street (but thank you for telling me that they frown upon that). You can drink booze on the streets of San Francisco pretty much worry-free! It isn't legal but the SFPD has more important things to worry about... Vegas itself is open 24 hours. Although, it actually takes a bit of a cat nap somewhere between 4 and 8 AM.
What's up with the stratosphere charging parking to their own guests?
Cuginos is the best pizza in town 🤘🤘
👍 should have mentioned how dodgy it is, especially at night, north of Circus Circus
That $3.20 slice of pizza from elis island looked like a paper thin rubber crust with a thin layer of burned cheese. That was edible?
U know I love you so much
Good Morning Norma, how can I buy the Vegas in blue shirt you are wearing
Monica
Hi Norma - new to your channel, so wondering if you have any tips for staying and doing things off the strip? I've stayed and visited the strip a few times but find it rather exhausting, probably due to advancing age. Looking for more chill spots and experiences. Any ideas?
Go to the Arts District. My friends and I go get some brew and go checknout the street art. Also, there are some vintage stores and a vintage mall. The stores are very curated so you don't get a lot of junk.
Parking fees are my biggest gripe. #smh
Mind to Norma. Best Pizza in LV
Do they have place for rent for low-income people near the strip?
Con the insane prices for everything. Vegas used to be a great place to visit, now a major money pit.
I like her😊
Pro- i get a chance to meet you😊
Vegas has gone downhill to the point where I doubt I will ever return. Downtown used to be cheap and fun. Now it's certainly not cheap anymore. The strip is ridiculous. I might as well vacation somewhere else where I can get a solid value for my money.
Who is filming is norma single
