That low porosity business is so real. Getting the water in takes time. My boys have 3c hair like me but they have high porosity, it gets the water quickly but also dries quickly. I can still have water in my hair the next day if it braid it up wet or twist it without using a blow dryer.
@@ShaniqueBuntyn I have to spray water on their hair to get through their braids, just because it dries so easily. They are really afraid of tangles. I try not to use too much leave in, because as they play and add dirt to it, it becomes a sad itchy mess. Would you be able to share Amari's hair Wash Day and products you use?
Ikr. But i found a video on yt before that worked for me. You split your hair in half(you don't need to split it for real just casuallybam like that) and cross them from behind then bring it on top and cross again then boppy pin it(the overlap/cross). I use a big clip ngl but this was the best one i've used so far.
I detangle under running water After my deep conditioner has set for the allotted time. So I detangle as I’m rinsing out the conditioner. Water really helps with the detangling process.
I would love to see the mousse only method and which product you recommend. I tried mousse once but it left my hair too hard and not very moisturized. I’ve been doing wash n goes with gel and a leave in that works pretty nice. I feel like the gel really seals my high porosity type 4 hair for the entire week or even longer. Sometimes I just rinse really well and reapply the products if my hair is not too dirty
Hey Shanique, Thanks for sharing. I like to do two washes on wash day just so i can make sure my scalp and hair is clean (especially after a protective style). I have to pick up that deep conditioner that you used and give it a try; it was on my list since you shared it but i haven't picked it up yet.
Currently dreading the wash of my hair after a week of wearing a puff after an old twist out lol. This video is motivating so I'll wash it tomorrow after one more puff day😂
Thank you so much for this. I get so fustrated with my natural hair trying to figure out what styles to do. I wanna wear it wavy without having to use a flat iron or curling iron cuz my hair doesn't need all that heat. Whenever I do twists I'm not getting the wavy look. And I don't know how to braid. Was also thinking about crimping my hair but when I use the crimping iron it doesn't come out crimped Are there ways to get wavy and crimped hair without using flat iron curling iron etc
I would suggest streching it with a blowdryer and then curling it with some flexi rods. You want to not use a lot of product so your hair reverts so you can keep the length. I would recommend using a mousse. I just saw a video on ig but i am not interested in doing that much work so i didn't save it to give you there name. Maybe Shaniece will have a video suggestion from her list as well she can recommend.
@@briannanight8395 ok thanks. I've tried doing that too but still doesn't work. After I twist I will usually use scrunchies to stretch it but that still doesn't work either. I'll look into getting the moose
If this is a lazy wash day routine, then all of my wash days are lazy wash day routines!🤣 I enjoy mousse only WnGs because of the drying time. I've found that if I add a little mousse with a gel WnG it helps that to dry more quickly as well.
Lol this isn’t a true lazy wash day. Me being lazy is washing in some large section which ends up being a disaster. No deep conditioning and one shampoo. JUST A MESS.
@@JustMeVanessa not as long as hers but mine is half way to bra strap length. My hair naturally is prone to being frizzy. You mean single strand knots? After getting a hair cut, no I haven’t been getting them. You may be due for a trim. I notice I get them when my ends haven’t been cut in a while. Also the tighter the curls the easier it is to get the knots.
I really want to dye my hair black but a part of me wants to do color as i never done it before. I am planning on cutting my hair jaw length it is half way to bra length now but i haven't cut it since i have been just wearing it in twist and braids and haven't realized it has grown so much. When i do a wash n go it takes to long to do with this length and my shape is gone as well.
I just took out my braids and did a wash and go could’ve definitely used this video cause GIRL it was rough 😭
Lol well you have it for next time

Mousse only might not be the best for high porosity hair. It’s very light weight. All products listed in the description box

You gotta learn to braid. I love the pattern I get from braids
Twistout with gel should give you great results. Flexi rods are great but you’ll end up with curls.
@@ShaniqueBuntyn ok and what if you don't have gel any other options for better twists
Thank you for always sharing your tips. I definitely need more patience and practice with my hair 😂.
No problem! I definitely wasn’t always patient so you’ll get there
Watching you wash your hair was soothing. Enjoyed watching 🙂
Glad you enjoyed

@@ShaniqueBuntyn Ha, I only use two sections, and I think I've used deep conditioner maybe once this year.
Lucky you!
I tried the mouse only wash n go it dried so fast but i didn't last an entire week for me and i don't like my hair enough to redo it during the week.
Yes it definitely doesn’t last long. I had to redo my hair after 3 days and then I used gel only.
@@ShaniqueBuntyn do you just wet your hair then add the gel on top?
Yes but I make sure to deep condition first
Oh no. Mine lasts a week or even longer. Interesting. Is your hair long like Shanique's? Wondering as I haven't tried it on long hair.

Homemade shampoo? There is a video?
No sorry. This is something I’m testing for shaniquebuntyn.com
@@ShaniqueBuntyn ok thanks
So do you have low or high porosity
Low. I mentioned it right in the beginning of the video
High is chemically or heat damaged.
Lovely 💗
Thanks 🤗
how long does it take you to detangle?
I’m the shower or outside ?
@@ShaniqueBuntyn in the shower
Detangling is about 6 mins.
Do you sit under a heat cap or just apply deep conditioner and wash off without using heat?
I use the heat from the shower and let it sit for about 5-15mins. You can use a cap, if you want too.
This woman looks good according to me
You live in Canada??
Yes
a mousse wash and go ?? omg
Yup
