@@jim6070 Mine was silver with the pinstriped black and grey velour. A fun car, but I definitely don’t miss the short gearing. That car needed a 6th gear!
So much fun. Mine was the coupe. Ordered a 2023 which will have 4 doors + hatchback. I will be longer than I need, but industry says coupes sell poorly in the US where I live. Hope it will handle well despite being more car than I need.
I have this integra Ls 87 ,,I buy a San Diego,Ca guy from Guatemala an they last for me like 13 year,, back in 96 very good litle car driving to San Francisco, las Vegas,Arizona, los angeles.
Red 87 LS was my first new car purchased from the dealer in WEM. They let me drive it out though the mall which I'm sure you couldnt do these days. Great car and missed after I traded it in for an 87 325 that turned into a money pit. FWIW the voice over talks about double wishbone suspension that didnt come out until the next generation in 1990 I believe.
I had one. The problem was the engine was too small. It was low geared to compensate so going 70 was around 3200 RPM which is really annoying, but it was really cute.
I just bought me an 87 integra! shes got an issue where when I dump the throttle is doesnt rev up smoothly and shakes. did some diagnostics and found it may be the MAP sensor, so i ordered one but if anyone has the same issue lmk how you may have fixed it!
I had one but decide to junk it didn’t want to spend $700 to fix tranny mines had power windows 4 doors and original rims not wheel covers parts are to hard to find if anything goes wrong it was a nice car rip
Bro I owned a first gen teggy and I regret selling but the only reason I had to get rid of it is because parts were impossible to find online or here in wisconsin
@@pisces3121 if you dig a Little deeper you'll find out that the blacktops started getting installed in the 87s right before 88 model years. I also thought the same thing that you said to be true. But I had an 87 on the title, with the blacktop, original engine, matching vins. Also the blacktop had 120 horsepower- ish Brown top was about 112 hp. Still nice power for a light car and short low gearing they had.
My first new car, bought in the summer of '87! I don't remember the dash being so SQUARE though!
One of my first because I was 26 at the time. I agree with you on the dash and the steering where looks different as well. I drove it 10 years.

I'm a simple man, i don't want no other car except this classic 1st gen 89 integra..
The 87 Integra was my first new car. Mine was a lighter blue/purple 5-speed with the pop-up / removable sunroof. Loved that car!
my brother had the same car in black and gold with the 5 speed. Thats how i learned how to drive a stick.
It was my first car. Had so much fun with it.
