I was 4 & 5 years old when I lost 2 brothers to AIDS (one in 1989 at 25 years old and another in 1990 at 24 years old; both in San Francisco). I was just a child, but I recall it being a tremendously somber time for my family. To this day, I am deeply saddened that this little bro never got to know his 2 big bros. I wish I could have because over the years I've learned that they both were wonderful human beings.

It’s incredible now to watch Kevin and see his positivity and determination shine through, in the face of terrible adversity. It’s so sad that he succumbed to the disease..as it is for EVERY person who has died with it.

So very sad. We lost so many good, smart and honorable people to AIDS. But it was those people who had AIDS in the 1980s and early '90s who fought, protested and disrupted the governments and drug companies until the modern drugs were discovered/invented. Millions are alive today because of their brave actions.

Say what u want about the interviewer he was still willing to do the interview in a time when sound crews refused to mic people with HIV Also is he German .? Germans often come off crass even when they are neutral. He. Seemed genuine and spoke soft on the hard questions.

Sad that Kevin Brown's life and many other people living with this terrible disease AIDS succumbed to the infection before slow treatment development began to emerged during the mid 1990's.

It was no better in the US. The first drugs were partially funded with public money for chemo purposes, but quickly the for-profit gougers reclassed them it was unaffordable for the majority.

I don't understand how he is comparing AIDS to Cancer. An innocent child can be diagnosed with Cancer. Some Cancers are from lifestyle (ex. lung) but some are genetic.

Even the so-called slow girls can be HIV-infected.
Still, they should use condoms and dispose of their used condoms properly by tying them closed and throwing them in their portable garbage can they bring with them after sexual contact because the specter of an unwanted pregnancy is also there.
