You can do this, but I would recommend having a 3d modeler or an artist do it for you, it looks less generic and more appealing. But besides that, good video!

i had the same problem too, first you go to add another layer and there will be a image icon and you press it and it will open your files, now you got to go to the picture you choose and press save image as and then go back and add new layer and press the image icon and click your image in your file and then boom. hope this helped.
