@@JAHPS28 they said the same to Camarón back in the 80s when he released La Leyenda del tiempo, in which he used electric guitars and other genres fusion with flamenco... guess what, los artistas que han dedicado su vida al flamenco decidirán qué es el flamenco
Hi RogueRxyce. Rosalia often uses autotune as a sound effect rather than pitch correction. We are both agreed she doesn’t need it for that. It has proven controversial and disappointed a few as she could easily dispose of it and still sound great. But let’s not forget there are plenty artists out there that rely on autotune rather than use it as a stylistic choice and Rosalia doesn’t fall under that category.
I agree she is definitely not in the same category as someone who uses it because she has to in order to sound good. This woman is talented with and without. Whatever she chooses to do, im still going to listen 😂
@@RogueRxyce My post sounded a little angry, trust me I’m not! For something a little more traditional in Rosalia’s back catalogue I recommend “La Hija de Juan Simon” (with English subtitles) and “Si tu Supieras Compañero”. A more cutting edge and experimental track would be “A Pale”
@@RogueRxyce I'm not sure but i think that it isn't autotune, it sounds like an octave effect, which in fact is her voice plus her voice an octave higher.
I am sure you'd love India Martinez - El Aire y El Baile Vevo Live Performance (one of the best Spanish songs lately). Her vocals are also out of this world.
Hello greetings from Spain, I see your reactions to the videos and I have to say that I love them, and I was pleasantly surprised by your Spanish pronunciation, it is very good, and you are beautiful, kisses, and a cordial greeting !!!
Eres maravillosa cielo , busca a Rosalia de Plata live en Sevilla es preciosa . .también te va a encantar Pablo López-El Patio directo Palacio San Jordi es un amor de niño pura pasión por la música
He was not afraid to sing live, with his only voice in the first part, in the second part the rest of his band joined. And all with their hands and voices.
Yes all of her songs Flamenco is her foundation. Dando palmas= Claps is also part of Flamenco 💃🏻 music. Her 2nd Album was based on Spanish Literature book called Flamenco. The Album was her college thesis.
Also, if you can react to Barefoot in the Park (Rosalía and James Blake) it'd be amazing. The song is an authentic masterpiece and was unfairly underrated. Besides, the videoclip is awesome.
Oh also wanted to add you might want to listen Aute Cuture by her it’s more of a dance vibe. She quotes Oscar Wilde even In her pop song Aute Cuture. Also Con Altura with J Balvin also a good dance song.
@@RogueRxyce how well google translates, i have written what i feel and i think google has done well, jajaaja, un beso guapa, desde el reino de españa, algun día, tu deberias ser la reina de este pais, bueno ya lo eres!!! Majesty I retire to my rooms
She experiments with her sound, which sometimes includes autotune. This performance is acapella, but the recorded version is not. Yes, the vibe is Flamenco, but she does it in a way that popularizes the genre -- which is controversial in the Flamenco community. Her albums are worth a listen. You will be amazed by her videos too. As I've said before, she is a once-in-a-generation artist.
Nothing wrong with using autotune if you have a voice like rosalia, she doen't NEED it, she uses it for effects only. It enhances human voice into sound never seen before. In her case you can hear it always very clear when she uses autotune. I like it much! 💙
I'm sure that FUEL FANDANGO (for example: Mi danza ft. Dani de Morón or Always searching) is going to surprise you a lot, and the flamenco fusion is going to make you dance !!
Love your reactions!!.. You gotta react to ROSALÍA - De Plata (Directo Sevilla) it´s insane, you are gonna get goosebumps all over your body, it´s a live version, but the music video "ROSALÍA - De Plata" it´s a must watch too... really really cool.
If you liked that vocals you should react to Diana Navarro, el perdón (the forgiveness) is a great song and if you want flamenco, please try cuplerias (sorry but this has no translation) I really think you’ll love that singer, maybe one one the best voices you can listen to. Great reactions. Hugs from Spain
Hi friend. I'm going to tell you that you are loving and that I love how excited you get when you listen to Rosalía, however, I would like you to investigate a little more about her videos. In this performance, Rosalía had very little time to prepare and she decided to be accompanied by that wonderful choir of palm gypsies who provided the background and rhythm with their clapping and their words. The lyrics of this song are absolutely beautiful: “SAY MY NAME WHEN THERE'S NO ONE NEAR. MAY THE THINGS YOU TELL ME DON'T COME OUT THROUGH THAT DOOR. TIE ME WITH YOUR HAIR TO THE CORNER OF YOUR BED, THAT EVEN WHEN THE HAIR BREAKS I WILL PRETEND THAT I AM TIED. SAY MY NAME AND PUT YOUR BODY AGAINST MINE, MAKE THE BAD GOOD AND TURN THE IMPURE BLESSED. MAKE ME PRAY OVER YOUR BODY IN THE CORNER OF YOUR BED AND AT THE LAST MOMENT SAY MY NAME TO MY FACE». She is talking intimately with her lover about when they make love. Sorry for the translation, I'm using Google Translate and I hope I haven't bothered you by going into great lengths, but I think the occasion was worth the effort. A greeting from Spain.

Hi¡¡ it's flamenco, when they say "toma, toma...' is like to say let's go. Please listen her song "Catalina"
It's not just clapping. There is expertise, finesse and centuries of tradition in using the palms of the hands in this way. It is an art in itself

She is a classically trained flamenco singer and brings those influences and parts of her culture into many of her songs.
Yes, she does not need autotune. Her voice is wonderful without it.
